Subsequently, officials from various ministries report on government affairs one after another—

The Road Administration Department reports: "Three official roads in the north have been completed, and the efficiency of commercial road traffic has increased by 30%."

The Agricultural Department says happily: "There is a bumper harvest in the south this year, and the grain granary reserves have reached the peak of previous years!"

The Mining Department is slightly worried: "The mining difficulty of several newly discovered mineral veins in the north is relatively high, and more craftsmen need to be sent."

Li Chen gives instructions one by one, either commending or adjusting; in the Imperial court, the majesty of the Emperor is fully displayed.

After the morning court, Li Chen just steps into the outer corridor of the Imperial Study when he sees Li Sining and Prince Anxi Li Ji waiting for a long time.

Li Sining is in a pale purple palace dress, standing prettily under the corridor; seeing Li Chen walk over, she bows with curved eyebrows: "Imperial Brother~"

Li Ji is somewhat constrained, scratching his head, and bows respectfully: "Subject greets Your Majesty!"

Li Chen raises an eyebrow: "You two, waiting for me here—is there something?"

Li Ji giggles and rubs his hands: "That... Your Majesty, is the north about to go to war?"

Li Chen narrows his eyes: "What's your idea?"

Li Ji straightens his back, full of righteousness: "Your Majesty! I want to go to the north to mix!"

Li Chen: "..."

He looks Li Ji up and down, smiling but not smiling: "Didn't you mix up quite a lot of military merit with Prince Zhennan and exchange it for a large amount of rewards? Why, is the money spent?"

Li Ji's face collapses instantly, sighing: "Alas, it's a long story."

Li Chen folds his arms: "Speak."

Li Ji says with a bitter face: "Subject recently invested in several mines in the north."

Li Chen nods: "Hmm, the path is good; mining makes money."

Li Ji is even more worried: "The problem lies here! Subject was greedy at the time and bought seven mines in one breath, and as a result..."

Li Chen raises an eyebrow: "As a result?"

Li Ji covers his face: "As a result, all the money was smashed into it, the mining funds were insufficient, so subject sold three of them."

Li Chen: "And then?"

Li Ji is tearful: "Then the three that were bought all dug out top-grade refined iron ore! The four that subject kept are all inferior ore; it's a bloody loss!"

Li Chen: "..."

He takes a deep breath and rubs his brow: "Li Ji, oh Li Ji, if you weren't my brother, I would have let you roll to the border to eat sand long ago."

Li Chen doesn't want to complain about this guy's investment ability; he loses money in everything he does.

Li Ji laughs dryly: "Your Majesty is wise! Isn't subject correcting his mistakes, so I want to go to the north to mix some military merit."

Li Chen shakes his head helplessly: "Fine, go to the Ministry of War to report and say I approved it."

Li Ji is overjoyed: "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

Li Chen glances at him: "Do you know who the commander of the Northern Army is?"

Li Ji immediately looks serious: "Former Deputy Commander of the Fourth Group Army, Han Wu!"

Li Chen nods: "Han Wu is a steady person; don't put on the airs of a Prince when you go, and learn well."

Li Ji pats his chest to guarantee: "Your Majesty, don't worry! Subject will just mix; I will definitely not cause trouble!"

Li Chen hums and laughs: "Roll."

Li Ji leaves happily, and Li Sining covers her mouth and giggles on the side: "Imperial Brother, Prince Ji will probably stay in the north for a long time this time."

Li Chen shakes his head: "This kid, he's not good at fighting, but he's quite a hand at mixing military merit."

The Tian Ce Dynasty has always had a "battlefield mixer."
