Chapter 207: The Headless Knight
Amid thick fog, the silhouettes of two knights flickered in and out of view.
Green soul flames curled around them, clad in rugged black armor, each wielding a longsword and a warhammer respectively.
What terrified the cat-folk most was that both knights had nothing above their necks.
Only a cluster of green flame, representing their souls.
"So they're still in human form."
Luo De nodded, unshocked.
Presumably, that witch-cat had seen some of the outside world and studied at Bahadur Magic Academy, one of the top institutions—no matter how scarce her resources, she'd have at least a few, so controlling two headless knights wasn't surprising.
He'd never seen headless knights before; such beings thrived only where negative energy was abundant, mostly in places that had witnessed battlefields.
Like Muxi City, conquered by the Heavenly Court Flower Nation—nearby, there were piles of headless knights and undead knights.
Perhaps some high entity had meddled with human bloodlines again; they arose from resentment, driven solely by vengeance and slaughter, and even the few who awakened free consciousness were often controlled by necromantic spells, becoming puppets once more.
The cat-folk stood on guard, but Luo De's spiritual sense swept over the two headless knights and found both were merely at the early stage of fifth-rank—his interest waned.
Tally exclaimed: "Look, they're two female headless knights!"
"Oh?"
Luo De was surprised.
Succubi could sense vital essence, so they could easily tell gender.
"Headless knights? My cousin once encountered one. She said perhaps due to resurrection, their vital essence is extremely low—just a bit more than ghouls."
"Even ghouls?"
"Some recently deceased ones can, but if they're too decayed, not necessarily. Zombies are different—these creatures' flesh is rigid, completely devoid of vital essence."
Tally lowered her head, kissed Luo De's ear, and gave it a light bite.
She added: "If it were Pan Ni, fine—but if Master wants to play with Selina, it'll take some effort. She's just frozen meat."
"How do you know?"
"When she was recovering from serious injuries, I slipped off her shorts and took a peek."
"."
Tally burst into giggles at her master's expression:
"But separating the head from the body is a fun game—my cousin once sucked while placing the head right against her rear, using her tongue to help."
Luo De pondered for a moment, finding the image oddly absurd.
As they spoke,
the two headless knights drew near, revealing their full forms.
Beneath them rode pitch-black undead steeds, eyes blazing with terrifying red light, fangs jutting from their jaws, grotesque and fearsome.
The two knights wore brutally rugged full-body armor, even their arms and fingers encased in metal, with thick black mist leaking constantly from gaps in the imposing armor.
Yet this armor, meant to leave not a sliver of skin exposed, had been boldly modified at the chest—clearly designed to reveal most of a pair of snow-white breasts, the armor clinging tightly to slender waists.
Both female knights were exceptionally voluptuous; with every step their mounts took, four plump mounds quivered, undeniably alluring.
Abstinence, after all, means first suppressing, then arousing.
This armor, meant to be conservative and hyper-masculine, had a gaping slit right at the chest, baring the breasts—somehow in harmony with the Dao. The armor's maker was a master.
"Master, I feel your breathing has grown heavier~"
"Nonsense. I'm a seasoned spiritual warrior—adjusting breath before battle is instinct."
"Then what's that swelling there? Hehe, I'll grab it!"
Luo De slapped her hand away.
"Their bodies are explosive—but too bad they have no heads… Wait, why does one hold her head and the other doesn't?"
The knight with the longsword clutched a head wearing a grotesque faceplate, its features hidden.
The warhammer knight held nothing but her weapon.
The cat-folk had already drawn their weapons.
Pudding shouted: "Lord Luo De, you needn't act—let our squad handle it!"
He roared to his soldiers behind him: "Royal Catfolk Knight Order! Attack!"
"Roar!!!"
Dozens of cat-folk soldiers roared in unison, Qishishizu.
Then they pulled from their chests a palm-sized medal, engraved with cute, innocent cat-folk imagery, its back attached to a conical steel spike as long as a human middle finger.
Puff—
Without hesitation, the cat-folk jammed the spike into their furry chests.
The next instant, they erupted with spiritual fluctuations far beyond their own levels.
Their bodies began swelling unnaturally, rapidly sprouting massive tumors; some shed fur, while fleshy tentacles grew from their eye sockets and mouths.
In short, the cat-folk were mutating into horrific monsters.
Pudding was worse—his gray-and-white fur developed bald, withered patches; half his cat face split open, replaced by a human-like face devoid of expression.
Luo De: "???"
This left him utterly stunned.
Do cat-folk have this ability???
Maximum evil level!
Master and servant exchanged glances, both seeing shock in the other's eyes.
Tally warned: "Master, I really don't recommend going near them now."
"Obviously—I wouldn't even think of it otherwise."
Ahead, though foot soldiers, the self-proclaimed Royal Knight Order had gained immense power.
They immediately clashed with the two headless knights.
One side relied on numbers, the other on reach and mounts—neither gained clear advantage.
Luo De and Tally stood aside, hesitating briefly over whom to help.
Come on.
Look—when that mutated cat-folk got slashed, green blood oozed out, mixed with tiny white worms.
On the other side, the two headless knights, though wreathed in black mist and ghostly flames, were at least not this disgusting. And that exposed chest armor? Quite visually appealing.
But that was just idle fantasy.
Luo De noticed that as time dragged on, the cat-folk's power began to wane—the temporary stalemate was about to break.
"Tally, control them—don't let them get hurt."
The succubus set her master down, giggling: "Mission accomplished!"
The next instant, she vanished into shadow and entered the battlefield.
Tally was mid-sixth-rank, enhanced multiple times, with vast combat experience—far beyond ordinary sixth-rank.
These fifth-, fourth-, and half-third-rank foes? Even bound together, she could handle them.
As expected, not long after,
both headless knights and their steeds were suspended from trees by Tally's shadow tendrils.
The cat-folk stared in horror—they hadn't even seen how it happened.
No wonder she's the Dragon God's servant!
Pudding approached, face flushed with shame: "Lord Luo De, I apologize."
