Chapter 211: Witch Cat

~6 min read 1,103 words

Pudding dismissed it with contempt.

As the saying goes, the loser eats dust—our Grand General paid no mind to such a loser's words.

He kicked out with a flying kick, but his paw pads, famed for their cushioning, only left a soft pad imprint on Duke Andy's face.

Duke Andy, insulted by this, flew into another rage.

But he no longer ranted at Pudding; instead, he turned to Luo De.

"I know you—Demon Dragon Envoy Luo De!"

Duke Andy was a Maine Coon, larger in stature than other cat spirits, with wild, bristling fur and piercing eyes—naturally radiating a fierce, domineering aura.

"The Cat Spirit Paradise does not welcome outsiders! Leave with your Demon Dragon master!"

Luo De ignored him.

After all, Nao Lin had granted the cat spirits strange power, twisting them into monsters.

And it seemed this had also affected their minds—something that made Luo De feel slightly uneasy.

Don't worry, I'll take the Dragon Body materials and leave; I have no intention of disturbing you.

Luo De asked Pudding: "How do you plan to handle him?"

"Report, Lord Luo De: I intend to take him to Witch Peak, defeat the Witch Cat, and let him witness the moment when I embrace Princess Mei Mei."

Pudding looked at Duke Andy with disdain. "So I can shatter his delusional fantasies—elopement? How laughable."

Luo De shrugged.

He had no interest in the cat spirits' loves and hates.

Seeing that the Dragon God Envoy showed no objection, the cat spirits bound Duke Andy tightly, like a roast suckling pig, to a thick branch.

Having done this, the group of cats prepared to depart—when another gust of demonic wind descended.

The wind's force surged rapidly, becoming a howling gale.

The cat spirits, light in weight and low in spiritual accumulation, were instantly tossed about by the magical storm.

Tally let out an "Oh!" and feigned kneeling, then slammed her head into her master's chest.

"Ugh~ Brother Lord, sand got in my eyes—blow it out for me, please~"

"."

He shoved her away.

But the succubus refused to let go, pouting and demanding he blow for her.

To avoid her nagging, Luo De feigned a blow—only for Tally to rush forward and smack a kiss right on his lips.

"Hehehe~~"

"Is this really the time? The enemy's here!"

"So what? Her magical accumulation is weak too, Brother Lord~~ My lower eyes are full of sand too—blow those too, please~~"

"Get lost. Bring back the cat spirits."

"Yes~~"

Tally reluctantly stood, extending her palm.

Darkness coalesced at her fingertips into shadows; ribbons shot out swiftly, binding the cat spirits about to be blown away and tying them to trees.

After a while.

The gale ceased; all the cat spirits were held firm by Tally, none scattered.

They were about to thank Luo De and Tally, but found their bodies nearly powerless—each showed signs of poisoning.

Luo De stepped forward to examine them.

But with no experienced mage nearby, he could not identify the spell.

He guessed it was a combined effect of the gale and swamp gas.

"Hahahahahaha————"

"The Royal Cat Spirit Knights? Pathetic!"

A sly, arrogant laugh suddenly echoed, as if coming from all directions of the forest.

Pudding's face changed.

"It's the Witch Cat! She's here!"

He tried to rise and draw his sword, but the swamp gas's poison kept weakening his body—he collapsed face-first before even standing.

Turning back, he saw his brothers all limp and weak, and muttered bitterly to Luo De:

"Sorry, Lord Luo De—we'll have to trouble you again."

Luo De waved his hand.

Haven't we been doing all the fighting along the way? You're used to it.

But shouldn't the Witch Cat be the ultimate boss hiding atop Witch Peak?

Why is she appearing halfway up the mountain?

According to the princess-rescue plot, she should send wave after wave of minor bosses for Pudding, the heroic protagonist, to level up against.

As he thought this, he whispered something to Tally.

The succubus chuckled softly and slipped silently into the shadows.

Meanwhile, the bound Duke Andy rejoiced and shouted: "Witch Cat Lady! The Dragon God Envoy Luo De is here—kill him quickly!"

The forest howled with wind, and the air vibrated again with sound frequencies.

"Oh? This is the Dragon God Envoy? Hmph. You're an outsider—you don't understand our ways. I won't blame you. But do you know what your master truly is?!"

At first, her voice was gentle, sounding young—as cat spirits naturally have such tones.

But as she spoke on, her voice turned hoarse and sinister, ending in a threatening demand.

Luo De smiled. "Of course—the Cursed Dragon."

"If you know this dragon's race, why serve her?! Don't you know the danger of cosmic beings?!"

The Witch Cat roared in fury.

Luo De ignored her outburst and instead reminded her:

"You're wrong about one thing, Witch Cat—I don't serve her. She serves me."

"Wh-what?"

She laughed bitterly with rage. "Fine, fine, fine! Has the cosmic beings' mind control reached this level? Truly astonishing… meow! Who are you?! Oh!"

At that moment, the sound of a magical barrier shattering echoed through the forest.

Luo De instantly pinpointed the location, slammed down hard, crushing a crater into the ground, and leapt upward—soil splattered across Pudding's face.

He'd planned to help Tally, but the Witch Cat's power was unexpectedly pathetic.

By the time Luo De arrived, the succubus was once again dangling a cat spirit by one leg.

She snatched the Witch Cat's staff away.

"So weak?"

"Not that she's weak—Tally's just too strong."

"Fine, fine, fine."

Luo De studied the cat spirit and suddenly noticed she was different from her kind.

First, she was now hanging upside down by one leg, held by Tally.

Her deep blue mage robe, obeying gravity, flipped upward, completely covering her face.

But the exposed hips and abdomen, clad in tiny shorts, were clearly more human-like than other cat spirits'.

"Let me go! Let me go! Monster! Bug! Despicable outsider!"

Luo De ignored her curses, studying her closely.

"Her legs are similar to cat spirits', but noticeably longer. And her torso is shorter… h—does she have breasts?!"

The forest warden was stunned.

At the edge of the flipped robe, a small undergarment was clearly visible—with two tiny, prominent curves.

Tally was bolder—she poked the top of the curve with her finger.

The Witch Cat shrieked in response.

The next instant, shadow ribbons wrapped around her like a mummy.

The shriek cut off abruptly.

Luo De stroked his chin: "My instinct tells me this situation is another hidden manipulation on the cat spirit bloodline."
