Chapter 217: Returning to Repay Cui Qian
Luo De spent his second night in the Labyrinth of the Cat Sprite Paradise.
After the Royal Knights Corps cleaned up Princess Mei Mei's corpse, they invited him back to the palace, where the king would host a grand banquet for him.
But he had no intention of going—having just killed the king's daughter, he was now expected to smile and welcome it.
It was too hard to accept, and he couldn't force King Jump to do such a thing.
So he simply stayed overnight at Witch Peak, planning to leave the next day.
There was no choice—the Magic Control League's "Long-Distance Teleport" package he bought was the minimum: three days, three people or fewer.
But the witch cat's guest room was too small; he and Tally couldn't move freely there.
By midnight, they had to go outside onto the grassland, bathed in starlight.
Since they were on the mountain peak and the succubus's cries were too loud, Luo De could only cover her mouth while moving, making it look like he was forcing her.
Unexpectedly, the witch cat had an extremely strong possessive streak.
Although this could already be seen when her memories were altered and she mistook Mei Mei as her sister, she had simply lacked love since childhood.
But he hadn't expected her to secretly record footage of him bathing, and to stay awake all night, watching him interact with Tally despite her injuries.
Luo De noticed, but for everyone's dignity, he pretended not to, and went all out.
The next day, just before leaving.
He returned the headless knight sisters to the witch cat, reluctant to part with this collection—he hadn't even had time to savor them.
Still, the Labyrinth of the Cat Sprite Paradise truly lacked combat strength; two fifth-rank-beginning headless knights were at least decent fighters.
He thought so.
In reality, Luo De did say to the witch cat some little sweet nothings: "I was afraid you'd be lonely without company," "I was afraid you'd be sad, afraid you'd be alone."
The witch cat had never heard such words in her life; she was instantly moved to tears.
She then pulled out several treasures stolen from Bahadur and gave them to him.

Luo De: (⊙_⊙)
You're quite the thief, aren't you?
You even stole back an eighth-rank spellbook?
The witch cat explained she had used the Memory Wish Stone to bewitch the eighth-rank professor, then stole them from her laboratory.
In addition, there was a pile of precious materials.
But she had never dared to leave the labyrinth, so none of these items had been sold.
As she spoke, she simply gave all of them to Luo De.
Luo De felt embarrassed to take them—many of the items were suited for the witch cat's own future use.
She didn't push back much; after hearing a few kind words, she sweetly took them back.
He gently embraced the cat sprite, who stood only up to his waist, and said goodbye.
Luo De and Tally officially left the Labyrinth of the Cat Sprite Paradise.
This place is Naulin's territory, so naturally, it's mine too.
Once the Jade Broken Branch is healed, I'll immediately graft a cutting here.
As he thought this, Luo De stepped through the Magic Control League's teleportation gate.
Having been gone only two days, he felt no deep sense of absence.
Luo De first greeted the ghoul Pan Ni, who was at Henry Farm, soaking her ghoul servants in the Spring of Life water created by Wei Wei An.
She had somehow heard that this could cleanse the ghouls' internal plagues.
This was clearly a rumor.
Because the ghoul servants bubbled and smoked inside, their voiceless mouths—lacking vocal organs—screamed silently toward the sky.
They were about to fall apart.
Pan Ni stared at the crumbling servants with a mournful expression, but upon seeing her master return, her mood lifted instantly, and she became very happy.
She even mustered the courage to try hugging his arm, but seeing Miss Tally beside him, she dared not.
After all, she thought her affair with the master had gone unnoticed.
But our succubus isn't blind—you had an enormous amount of the master's essence stored inside you, and all three of your orifices were packed full; not noticing would be impossible.
"Where's Chris?"
The usually erratic Banshee was nowhere to be found; it was hard to pin her down anywhere specific.
"Since the day you left, Chris hasn't returned to the farm to sleep—not even last night."
Pan Ni promptly snitched.
Luo De wasn't too worried; after all, the Banshee Chris was the only one among his ten enslaved subjects who had been given more than twelve commands—she wouldn't do anything harmful.
Just before leaving Henry Farm, Pan Ni crept up quietly.
Blushing, she manipulated the underground ghoul servants to write "twelve o'clock" on Luo De's foot sole.
Luo De gave her a amused look—he didn't care whether Tally knew or not, and moved to kiss her.
But Pan Ni stepped back, dodging, and said, "Master, please maintain propriety."
She certainly looked dignified and self-respecting.
He crossed the small grassland between the forest and the farm.
Arrived at Bai Yu District.
Luo De first encountered the little mare Bond.
Since the ratman attack, she had often guarded the northernmost edge of Bai Yu District.
It was noon now; she was walking south, presumably returning for food.
Beside her was a large squirrel, Cui Qian, slightly shorter than her; the two could communicate, chattering away with hands and paws.
Only when Luo De got close enough did she notice him.
The little mare's eyes lit up instantly.
"Luo De!"
Luo De laughed heartily and caught her as she leapt into his arms.
From his spell satchel, he pulled out the specialty snack he'd bought in Olive Town—he'd kept it fresh in a magic box.
"Wow! Cake!"
"It's called Aden Cake."
It was a two-layer cake with crushed cookie filling, coated in chocolate and cream, somewhat like a brownie.
The ones Luo De bought were cupcake-style—dainty and cute, and there were plenty left.
After all, many girls in the forest loved sweets: besides Bond, there was the half-deer Xiao Ke, the zombie Selina, and the orc Amy.
Kali also liked them, but she followed elven restraint and forced herself not to eat, even though she craved them.
"Here."
Luo De handed one to the large squirrel, Cui Qian.
The squirrel had been hesitant to approach, but seeing the tiny cake, her eyes brightened instantly.
She took it with both tiny paws and happily gnawed on it.
Seeing her gift enjoyed always brought joy; Luo De watched them gobbling away and smiled warmly.
"Master~ Tally wants to eat the master's cream too~~"
"Go away."
Cui Qian's little mouth ate far slower than Bond's.
She'd only finished half when Bond had already devoured two.
Perhaps feeling embarrassed after eating, she coughed twice with her mouth smeared in cream and chocolate.
"Mr. Luo De, Wei Wei An told me you grafted a broken branch of the Jade Tree into the forest. I think I might have a way to help you revive it."
