Chapter 347: Backing Up

~7 min read 1,258 words

Oh—

Luo De remembered.

The half-wolf druid Ojia in the forest had once begged him for help, saying a fellow druid from the Balance Association had entered Coral Bay.

That druid also said that if she were willing to end the conflict, she could choose to marry the dark elf leader who had taken an interest in her.

For some reason, she was later thrown to the sirens on the shore, and for some reason again, the dark elf leader slaughtered every single siren that had been gnawing on her.

Luo De had listened, dumbfounded.

He had flatly refused Ojia's plea for aid.

The half-wolf druid was a reclusive type; Luo De had even seen her from afar just a few days ago, and hadn't even had time to greet her before she vanished like a gust of wind—he didn't know whether she'd gone back to plan a rescue for her friend.

Next,

Rosalia asked again, in meticulous detail, about the internal situation of Coral Bay.

She was far more careful than Luo De, and understood many problems he had previously overlooked.

It took her much longer.

They talked from noon until sunset before finally stopping.

Atticus was secretly arranged into a safehouse somewhere.

Of course, Rosalia's surveillance was still indispensable at this stage.

Afterward, Luo De took the beautiful fairy with the tooth-like horns to a newly opened elven restaurant on New Rank Street.

In fact, there were still many other restaurants on New Rank Street.

But since they were long-lived beings who practiced art, compared to the dwarf restaurants disguised as halflings, the jackal-man specialty grilled meats, or the Selmer-style cold platters, their elegance and atmosphere were undeniably more refined.

Flickering magical light-spirits danced in the dim yellow lamps, elegant crystal glassware set the mood, and each private booth featured hand-painted illustrations.

Maximum bourgeois charm.

Yuna was undoubtedly a considerate girl.

She claimed her terrifying body might frighten others, voluntarily returned to the forest, and tried to take Tally with her—presumably to give her master some private time with the fairy.

Tally initially refused.

But after Yuna whispered something in her ear, she left with a wicked grin.

Luo De and Rosalia's dinner went fairly well, at least.

Luo De pressed forward repeatedly, hoping to deepen their understanding.

But Rosalia's defenses were impenetrable—she gave all the right responses: sweet smiles, appropriately adorable questions, and seemingly genuine admiration.

Conversing with her was certainly pleasant.

One might even, carelessly, think she was interested in him.

But all of it was merely Rosalia's routine.

She was a worldly socialite—she wouldn't be so easily conquered.

Of course, Luo De could sense it.

While he was advancing, she was doing the same.

The ambitious fairy's words always carried hooks, ceaselessly trying to latch onto Luo De's collar and hoist him up for her own use.

The meal ended in a clash of wills.

On his way back to Henry's Farm, Luo De encountered the banshee Krist.

She wore a mournful expression, clearly wronged.

A wraith emitting a faint green glow waiting for you on the road at night—unless it was Luo De, anyone else would have been terrified into tears.

"What?"

Krist had been active on the front lines with the ghoul Pan Ni these past days.

Her performance was mediocre at best, but her spiritual rank had risen significantly—she now appeared to be at the upper tier of fifth rank.

So Luo De softened his expression somewhat.

But the main credit still went to the spiritual seed he had given her.

To accelerate the girls' strength in the forest, he had fed each of them one.

"Your spider woman has no manners—I'm your senior, and she suddenly kicked me out of the house and blasted me with magic missiles, waaah—"

"What did you do this time?"

"I didn't do anything! I was reading the newspaper in my room, and she cast a spell to open the door and told me to sleep outside for the night—isn't that bullying?!"

Yuna's rank wasn't high—only mid-fifth tier. Long-lived races accumulate magic slowly anyway, and as an underage dark elf, she naturally couldn't match Krist, who had once been human.

"She's lower-ranked than you—can't you beat her?"

Luo De asked, his tone dismissive.

Krist shrank her shoulders: "But if she's got people backing her—Tally, Amy, that ghoul Pan Ni, and Vivian—they're all helping that nasty spider bully me! Master~~ Please stand up for me~~"

She solidified into physical form.

She pressed her arms together, revealing a stretch of pale, soft flesh.

Then she clung to her master's arm, pouting.

Luo De raised an eyebrow.

Tally, Amy, Pan Ni, Vivian, and Yuna all gathered in one room—weren't they the very guests of tonight's party?

They must have planned to take over the entire farmhouse villa and kicked out the inconvenient banshee.

"Fine, fine—I'll go settle this right now, beat each of them up, and you won't come back tonight. Sleep in my cabin."

Luo De pinched her cold cheek.

He couldn't help but look forward to the girls' surprise.

Krist, seeing her master's gentle expression, was stunned.

What's going on?

When did he ever look at me like this?

Of course—it must be my big performance in the Claw Valley mountains that moved him!

It's so hard.

After all this time together, even a stone would've melted—but this lecher only just warmed up today.

These women are bullying me, and now I've got his backing—I won't take advantage of it?

"No! I want to watch you beat them."

Krist's pale face lit up with eager anticipation.

The time to turn the tables had come.

"Oh? Really?"

"Of course! I've worked hard lately—I'm not the Krist I used to be!"

Luo De smiled.

Hmph.

Yesterday, Pan Ni told me you sneak out of camp every night to rifle through corpses' pockets for money.

"Alright then, let's go."

"Great! Uh—Master, can I walk ahead? I want someone to back me up."

"Of course."

The banshee was overjoyed.

【Krist's obedience +2, current obedience: 48】

She passed Luo De.

Strutting arrogantly, strutting with swagger, utterly brazen.

The two walked one behind the other.

Arriving at the front of Henry's Farm villa.

Krist didn't knock—she laughed loudly and kicked the door open with a crash.

"Nasty spider! I told you I'd come back!"

Even her tone grew bold.

But as she spoke, her voice grew fainter—by the end, she stood frozen, eyes wide with shock.

A pink glow washed over her face.

Revealing her stunned, bewildered expression.

At the villa's entrance, Tally, Pan Ni, Vivian, Amy, and Yuna all appeared wearing nothing but aprons.

They bowed in unison, and under gravity's pull, their soft forms swayed hypnotically in midair.

The pink spiritual light of the 【Pleasure Party】 glowed upon every inch of their skin, adding a more ethereal beauty than ever before.

"Welcome home, Master." x5

They spoke in unison, then turned to Luo De, their eyes already glowing with desire.

The banshee Krist turned to flee.

And crashed straight into Luo De's arms behind her.

"Don't be afraid—I'm backing you up, just in a different way."

Luo De smiled.

Krist forced out a stiff smile: "I—I don't need backing. Is that okay?"

"What do you think?"

She struggled to pull away, but Luo De had already dragged her inside; five supple bodies pressed against her at once, leaving Chris helplessly watching the scenery outside the window bathed in pink light.

Thud—

The door closed.

Sounds of kissing, skin rubbing, laughter, and more filled the air endlessly.
