Chapter 431: Meeting
Has that dog man grown stronger again?
And grown this strong?
Eve's first reaction was envy and resentment—back in the Open Labyrinth, their gap hadn't been this wide.
Then came joy.
The stronger this guy gets, the stronger she becomes too!
With this guy, the Brael Clan can unify the Mirror Desert!
Eve quickly sorted her thoughts and calmed down from her shock.
She slowly returned from her throwing stance and stood tall with pride.
She'd planned to go cut off the demon's head and raise it high to proclaim her victory, but after thinking it over, her strength probably couldn't sever it—better to drop it, lest she have to beg that guy for help again.
Eve coldly scanned the six Suntalin.
Some wore unnatural, stiff smiles; others avoided eye contact with grim expressions.
She felt a small surge of satisfaction.
That dog man's still got some use.
"Hmph. A mere demon? How could it possibly be a match for the Brael Clan?"
As she finished her cold, proud declaration of victory,
the other Land Naga also felt emboldened, cheering excitedly as if buffed, attacking the remaining demon remnants with renewed vigor.
Her mother Lilian was pleased her daughter had wiped out such a strong foe, yet couldn't help but wonder.
She knew her own daughter best.
That demon monkey had innate physical advantages—it might be at peak sixth-rank spiritually, but it could definitely unleash half-seventh-rank power.
Logically, even if Eve won, it should've been a brutal fight—not this easy.
Had she acquired some high-power artifact?
But it shouldn't be used here—she'd have to ask later.
Lilian suppressed her doubts and began earnestly eliminating the last remaining demons with her kin.
The Land Naga moved with perfect coordination; soon, they had slaughtered them all.
Now came the time to demand answers.
Behind Lilian, the ancestral spirit's shadow lingered, radiating blue-white light.
Behind her, the Land Naga clustered tightly, their native serpent eyes revealing cruelty and ferocity.
The pressure from their gathered magic pressed heavily upon the six Suntalin before them.
The highest-ranked among them was a bearded human warrior, early seventh-rank—weak even for that level; the rest were fifth- and sixth-rank.
Under the pressure of a mid-seventh-rank, nearly high-seventh-rank magical aura, plus the power they'd just displayed,
they all broke into cold sweats.
"Suntalin, you'd better give me an explanation."
Lilian spoke coldly.
Though her appearance was gentle, when angered, paired with the ancestral spirit's shadow behind her, she radiated terrifying ferocity.
The bearded man stepped forward, sweat glistening, his gaze not daring to be disrespectful.
"Lady Priestess of the Brael Clan, the demon incident was purely accidental. This cave is hidden enough—only the rulers of Axe Beach ever knew its location. The demons must have tracked one of your Naga."
This brother immediately started shifting blame.
The Naga side didn't indulge him.
A female Naga with rough, dark skin and half her nose missing stepped forward, voice booming, face fierce:
"Bullshit! The demon only spoke one sentence—targeting YOU Suntalin! The problem is you brought this trouble onto us! What's the meaning of this? You think you can just refuse to pay? Do Suntalin like working for free without payment?!"
Clearly, this female Naga was the negotiator.
After all, many things said by a leader like Lilian would lack gravitas—here, a competent negotiator was essential.
Now came the verbal battle and negotiation.
The excavation of the White Dragon Tomb thus halted.
Luo De was too lazy to listen to their bickering; imitating Tally's manner, he extended his tongue from the shadows and licked Eve's neck.
The girl shuddered, glaring at the shadow with a scolding look.
"What are you doing?"
【Hide deeper in the cave. Let's meet.】
Eve remained silent.
Seeing her clan gaining the upper hand in negotiations, she slipped away unnoticed.
Soon, she turned down the winding cave path and reached the massive magical seal of the White Dragon Tomb.
Luo De stepped out of the shadows to embrace her—but she dodged.
"This isn't far enough. If my mother pays attention, she'll sense you. You'd better use some tricks."
Eve crossed her arms, her demeanor cold.
Luo De smiled, crushing a 【Evasion Detection】 magic ring.
Instantly, a fluorescent green cube of space enveloped them.
"That good enough?"
This time, Luo De embraced her—finally pulling the Naga girl into his arms.
A faint scent of sweat mixed with clove and orange filled his nose.
The body in his arms was stiff.
"You've changed, Eve. Not as warm as before," Luo De smiled.
"How long has it been since we last met? Three full months. Lucky for you, we're just a simple transactional relationship—if not, I'd have moved on already."
Eve rolled her eyes, sounding annoyed, yet leaned forward and kissed his lips.
Seeing no reaction from Luo De, she frowned and kissed him again.
Still no reaction—she let out a cold, sharp huff.
"What?" Luo De still smiled.
"You don't seem to miss me as much as you claim."
"It's fine. Even lovers say empty words sometimes."
"You!"
Seeing her fury, Luo De laughed, wrapped his arms around the Naga's slender waist—thin compared to her thick serpent body—and kissed her deeply.
Eve struggled, punching him a few times—her fists hitting his hard abs, each blow weaker than the last.
Soon, she stopped resisting and embraced him back.
They kissed without pause.
Long moments passed before they finally parted.
The Naga's tongue was naturally long and slender.
It still clung, refusing to let go.
She'd absorbed some 【Charm Fluid】, and after three full months without intimacy, Eve was already aroused.
Even after their lips separated, she buried her face against Luo De's neck, inhaling deeply.
"Use that thing—strengthen me. That growth spirit. Quick."
"You're being a bit too pragmatic, Eve."
Luo De said, unfastening her silver armor and thick leather garments, revealing a black crop top.
It was called a crop top, but it was really just a black cloth covering her chest, with two thin straps rising from her collarbones, looping behind her neck into a bow to hold it in place.
The cloth covering her chest was stretched taut—so much so that her ample size pressed the fabric tightly, emphasizing its grandeur.
Due to insufficient density, the upper fabric had become visibly translucent.
Luo De could easily see through it—the deep abyss and soft, yielding contours.
