Chapter 582: Gray Dwarves and Skill Sharing
At the rear of the jackal-men stood a dwarf with ashen-white skin.
He was only about one meter forty tall.
But his sleeveless, spiked armor revealed a pair of muscular arms, taut with tension.
His black hair and beard were thick and hard as iron wire.
His pupils were milky white, with almost no sclera visible.
He stood coldly and mercilessly at the rear of the jackal-men.
"A gray dwarf! We've encountered quite a few alien races today, Master~"
Tally laughed.
"Gray dwarf? Is that different from a dwarf?" Luo De asked, surprised.
He had seen dwarves before.
When custom-making brass arms for the zombie Selina, a dwarf craftsman from the Magic Control League had come to service them.
The normal dwarf's appearance matched his imagination.
Big beard, loud voice, the vibe of a hearty older brother.
But this gray dwarf was different.
Just those entirely white eyes—evil and gloomy—could rival the mind flayer Hart.
You could tell at a glance he was evil-aligned.
"Difference? Of course! Their penises are gray-white too."
"And anything else?"
"That's it."
He had clearly asked the wrong person.
As a succubus, Tally's knowledge wasn't sufficient to correctly distinguish between the two.
Luo De turned to the halfling Lily.
Lily smiled bitterly: "I only know they're a subspecies of dwarf, living in the Underdark like dark elves, and they love collecting slaves."
Tally raised her hand:
"Oh! I remember now! One of my aunts once infiltrated a gray dwarf slave group, planning to seduce them—but she didn't know gray dwarves see slaves as trash and have built-in charm resistance. She got beaten half to death, and only succeeded in seducing one after turning into a female gray dwarf with a big beard herself."
The jackal-man lieutenant snorted.
He stepped forward and threw a short knife, which Luo De swatted away with one hand.
"Have you finished chatting? If you don't want to die, surrender peacefully—Master won't even pay for damaged goods!"
Luo De stepped back.
In his hand, a strand of green life essence floated.
He pointed into the air, touching Tally.
The derived ability of Life Essence—"Essence Symbiosis": can actively share one skill or buff.
【"Essence Symbiosis" used successfully!】
【Shared Skill: "Dragon Scale Technique"】
【5 points of Life Essence consumed, remaining: 61 points】
【Duration: 5 minutes】
Five points isn't much.
Not bad.
Luo De chose to share the ordinary Dragon Scale Technique, not the +18 version.
Tally's body shimmered with spiritual light, her snow-white skin covered in a layer of transparent, fine dragon scales.
"Tally, go."
She surged with combat power, using Transformation to take on Luo De's form.
More precisely, she took on a feminine version of Luo De's form.
"Oh! Master! Give me the sword!"
"."
Luo De had coated the Offering Sword with the Slime's 【Black Gold Coating】 and tossed it over.
"Hahahaha—"
Tally kicked away a jackal-man lunging at her, caught the steel sword, and spun back with a slash trailing shadows.
In one sweep, she shattered the other jackal-man's steel blade.
She slashed left and right through the enemy crowd, refusing to dodge or evade attacks.
Blades struck her skin, sparks flying, leaving not a single mark.
Clearly, she was deliberately imitating Luo De's fighting style.
Lily stared in shock.
"Why does Tally have your Dragon Scale Technique?"
"Just a little trick. Want to try it?"
This skill was powerful.
If Luo De shared the +18 Dragon Scale Technique with all the girls, the scene would be terrifying.
But the problem was the Life Essence consumption was also terrifyingly high.
Luo De rubbed his chin.
He'd need to reserve more Life Essence in the future.
Lily's clear, bright eyes lit up.
I want that 【War Trample】! So awesome!
"Take it."
【Shared Skill: "War Trample"】
【5 points of Life Essence consumed, remaining: 56 points】
【Duration: 5 minutes】
It seemed most normal skills cost five points.
Spiritual light shimmered.
Lily laughed loudly, her small body charging forward bravely as she stomped the ground with her tiny feet.
Boom!
The ground cracked, sending out a shockwave of spiritual force that instantly stunned several jackal-men.
Not satisfied, she stomped and trampled them from behind.
Boom! Boom!
In just a few strikes, she knocked down the entire group of jackal-men.
At last, the gray dwarf moved.
But he did not attack.
"Enough, sir and madam. We serve the Campbell family."
"So?"
Luo De shrugged.
"I'm Kellen. May I ask your name?"
"Luo De."
The gray dwarf Kellen froze.
He began to scrutinize Luo De carefully.
Tall stature, face as handsome as an elf's, two long swords—one gold, one silver—at his waist.
And always surrounded by women.
"Forest Warden Luo De."
His expression turned grave as never before; silently, he pinched a teleportation magic ring from his sleeve.
"This is clearly a misunderstanding, Master Luo De. I come on behalf of the Campbell family to extend greetings."
Luo De sneered:
"You think I believe that? Tally, grab him."
"Oh ya!"
Tally, clad in a sleek hunter's outfit, whirled her black-gold longsword.
Gray dwarf Kellen's face darkened as he prepared to activate the ring.
Then his fingers closed on empty air.
He looked down in shock—shadow had stolen the magic ring.
"Do you think petty tricks work before the Great Shadow King, Tally Lilith?!"
Tally laughed, raising her sword, "Giant Slash! Shadow Version!"
Dark magic surged into a massive dragon-shaped blade of shadow forming on her sword.
The gray dwarf grunted.
"You forced me into this!"
His body erupted with dark green energy.
Simultaneously, his body surged upward to two meters tall, raising his fist to meet Tally's giant-sized slash.
An intense shockwave exploded instantly.
"Spirit energy? Can gnomes even use spirit energy?"
Luo De frowned.
Tally's energy greatsword shattered.
She floated backward, dissipating the force.
After landing, a large patch of dark shadow gathered beneath her feet.
Just as she was about to pierce into the three-dimensional space, transforming into a shadow spike.
The sky cracked with a deep hum.
She looked up.
There appeared a deep blue magical canopy, forming clear traces of a magical network.
A gentle breeze blew, dispersing the thin clouds.
Revealing the magical form of the Goddess of Magic, Mystra, her three aligned star-shaped tear moles strikingly radiant.
She pointed one hand.
A bolt of lightning struck the top of the gnome Kaelen's head.
"Aaaah!!"
The gnome screamed in agony.
He never even understood why the Goddess of Magic, Mystra, had suddenly appeared—before he was instantly reduced to charcoal.
"Spirit aether is forbidden in Dusk Hills."
In the sky, Mystra's magical form declared coldly, her voice echoing across the land.
