Chapter 614: Cosmic Beings in the Real World

~6 min read 1,174 words

Luo De pulled up his pants, looking satisfied.

Mistral was still human at heart, which left Luo De slightly dissatisfied.

In terms of texture, apart from being warmer and smoother, she was essentially no different from a human.

His interest in her stemmed mostly from her title as a deity.

A dark blue ring rose from the ground, cleansing Mistral and Luo De.

The Magic Goddess Mistral frowned, loosening her crumpled long skirt; its soft fabric cascaded in a dazzling sweep, instantly concealing all sight.

The effect of 【Allure】 had no impact on her.

She reached the Sage Time even faster than Luo De.

Intellectually, she wanted to stop, but the 【Primordial Dew】 truly could offset the energy drain, so she could only frown and push through.

"I've done as you wished—what's with that unhappy look?"

"Not as comfortable as Tally."

"You're comparing me to a succubus?!"

She laughed in anger.

Her chest, where she'd been gripped, throbbed with a pounding heart.

Luo De laughed and caught her swinging fist.

"Enough joking—I'm serious. If you ever need energy, come to me anytime."

"I am the Magic Goddess! To come to a mortal for energy, in this way—if my followers found out, what would become of my dignity? Don't even think about it!"

"If you don't tell, and I don't tell, who would know?"

"What if you use this to blackmail me?"

"I'm blackmailing you right now. If you don't come to me for energy, I'll write up my private moments with you in twenty-eight chapters, three sections each, and send them to every newspaper."

"You!"

Mistral was furious.

But she instantly calmed, her deep blue eyes gazing at him with wounded reproach.

"You won't do that. You won't harm me. I know you."

Luo De paused, then nodded with a smile.

"Of course—what father would harm his own daughter?"

"But no father would ever lift his daughter up and do what you just did."

"Cough, cough."

Luo De felt slightly embarrassed.

He changed the subject: "I met someone who betrayed you—Vincent. Can't you just appear and kill him outright?"

Mistral's face darkened with hatred.

But she quickly regained composure.

"The Webveil and the intrusions from the other dimension are at critical junctures—I can't spare attention to influence the real world. I can only issue bans to establish self-running spells."

"I see."

She smiled, her three aligned star-shaped tear moles flickering; warmth spread in her chest: "You want to avenge me? No need. Don't fight him directly—I'll kill them all in due time."

She paused.

Then she grew serious again: "For a long time ahead, I'll be fighting the intrusions from the other dimension and won't be able to observe the real world for long."

"Listen, Luo De—powerful cosmic entities from the other dimension have already taken root in the current reality dimension, but I'm too occupied to deal with them. One of them is a bone dragon. If you encounter her, run immediately."

Bone dragon

Bone Dragon Megan?

Luo De narrowed his eyes.

The Cursed Bone Dragon Naulin had issued the same warning.

What does Megan want?

He shook his head, dismissing the thought.

After a brief chat with Mistral, he was sent back to the real dimension.

"Lunyue!"

Rosalia's figure, wrapped in lunar radiance, flickered, twisting midair to barely dodge the massive bone spikes erupting from the ground.

Her obsidian-like exoskeleton trailed streaks of blinding speed.

Her eyes brimmed with hatred; she gritted her teeth, half her face covered in insect-like mutations, prominent antennae sprouting.

Her speed surged a full tier as she lunged toward Vincent, seated on a throne made of giant vertebral bones.

Gray-white bone spikes spiraled upward, rapidly forming three "Bone Fang Wanderers," each wielding twin blades.

CLANG!

Rosalia tore apart one of them; the other two slashed through her exoskeleton, leaving deep gashes on her abdomen and shoulder.

Blood spiraled through the air.

But she ignored it all, eyes red, charging straight at Vincent.

Vincent sneered, jabbing his bone staff forward.

As magic surged, a bursting flame spun outward.

Shadow ribbons erupted from the ground, yanking Rosalia inside—she barely escaped, losing a corner of her clothing.

"Soul Burn!!!"

Aelf, leader of the Shadow Hunter Guild, appeared nearby out of nowhere, her broken longsword wreathed in azure flame, half her body stained crimson with blood as she danced midair.

Gray-white bones spiraled upward, about to encase her in a ring of bone spikes.

"Again?!"

The halfling Lily raised her staff in her left hand; a massive force hammer instantly formed.

She smashed it into the bone spike cage, shattering it.

The spell's recoil was strong, but she was instantly surrounded by the "Bone Fang Wanderers."

Shadows bloomed again from the ground, dragging her away.

Vincent frowned in annoyance: "Annoying shadow magic!"

He chanted a 【Sandstorm Spell】, hurling Aelf away from his spell shield, then crushed a magic ring.

Intense light exploded.

It couldn't dispel Tally's ultra-high-level shadow magic.

But it revealed her position.

A bolt of lightning struck immediately.

Tally panicked, leaping from the shadows with the two girls; the explosion blasted them away.

All three crashed to the ground, dazed and disoriented.

Tally shouted: "Hey! Shorty! You said you were strong—think of something!"

As soon as she spoke, Rosalia lunged forward again.

Tally grabbed her instantly.

"Big sister! Don't fight like this—you'll die!"

Lily, injured internally by the blast, spat out a mouthful of blood, her dirty little face twisted in pain.

"Just exempting you from bone control drained most of my mana. When we broke through his domain last time, I forcibly dismantled and halted it—I nearly exhausted myself, yet still couldn't break his spell defense. Now I have no way to act even if I had the means."

Aelf crashed heavily to the ground mid-flight.

She apologized: "Sorry—it's my fault. The 【Spell Empowerment】 defense was unexpectedly strong."

As the highest-ranked among the four girls and a spiritual warrior of the Cut-Iron Stream,

she was unquestionably the strongest attacker.

If even she couldn't break through, all hope was lost.

In truth, Aelf still resented it, glancing at her broken longsword.

If only her weapon weren't so inferior—

Tally immediately bound Rosalia, whose mind was clouded by hatred, with shadow ribbons, her face sinking.

"What now? I won't fight this guy head-on—let's just flee with the Master."

"Impossible!"

Rosalia roared, her eyes completely black, her face entirely covered in insect exoskeleton.

Clearly, her spiritual technique had spiraled out of control.

"You say impossible? It's my decision as Lady Tally."

"It truly is impossible. No one here will survive."

Tally froze.

She turned to see Luo De standing beside her—suddenly her face lit up with joy.

"Master!"

"Luo De, you're finally back!" Lily sighed in relief.

"Mr. Luo De…" Aelf's tension eased.

Even the insect-mutated Rosalia froze at the sound of Luo De's voice.

Stiffly turning back, she saw dark, inhuman pupils filled with pain.

For a moment, she regained her reason.

Tears streaming down her face, she begged, "Luo De, I beg you, kill that man."
