Chapter 632: Bestiality Disease and the Siren
Sharon's head got slapped.
She muttered curses but didn't fight back.
Luo De was an accidental offender; Dimiya had never intended to interfere.
But a certain forest warden's hands weren't steady—he instinctively clenched his fingers when touching the fleshy mound.
Not gripping hard was fine.
Once he squeezed, the softness was astonishing—it sank right in.
Dimiya shrieked in shame and rage, swinging her palm unconsciously.
Thus, both Luo De and Sharon bore the same red mark on their foreheads.
As for Dimiya's domain contamination treatment, it ended quickly amid the commotion.
The sea breeze blew, the sun blazed brightly.
Endless waves stretched before them; the group floated midair; a massive twisted corpse hung suspended by gravity chains; an ice-sculpted ship drifted farther away.
The person in Luo De's arms had changed.
On his left thigh sat the dog-person Sharon, back straight, her short ponytail fluttering against his face in the sea wind.
Merely by contact, the round, plump peach-like buttocks and thighs radiated unmatched elasticity and wild strength.
Sharon shot Luo De a glare, warning him not to touch.
Yet she herself draped an arm over his shoulder, fingers idly twisting the ends of his neck hair in slow circles—intimately so.
As for Tally on his right thigh—
She blushed furiously the moment she sat down, gasped, and fainted onto his shoulder, unconscious.
"."
"So what exactly is this thing?"
The witch lady summoned a massive Mage Hand, cradling the still-unconscious mermaid Lora in her palm.
Only then did she turn back to gaze at the massive, hanging corpse of the siren.
Merely looking at it, she felt her stomach begin to spasm faintly.
"Perhaps a malformed mutation? Caused by illegal dumping of magical waste?"
Luo De said.
He recalled monster movies he'd watched in his past life on Earth.
Nuclear waste, mutated creatures.
Very nuclear.
In fact, such cases weren't rare on the Spiritual Continent—newspapers in Athelon had reported multiple scandals over magical waste disposal.
The nation of Karinshan across the Monster Sea might have done the same.
The dog-girl swatted away Luo De's paw resting on her rear, her expression turning grave:
"While illegal dumping of magical waste is certainly bad, the ocean's self-cycling energy is far stronger than we imagined. I checked earlier—it's an old friend you all know."
She paused deliberately.
Only when her dog-man and her best friend both turned to look did she say: "This monster is infected with Bestiality Disease."
"Bestiality Disease? How is that possible?"
Dimiya exclaimed in shock.
Luo De frowned: "No, it's still possible. Remember those Bestiality patients who bled into the Hansen River?"
The Hansen River originates in the Ke's Plain, flows through the entire Twilight Hills, then empties into the Hester Sea.
Lately, he'd been regularly clearing Bestiality patients from Ke's Plain; though he occasionally encountered those bleeding into the river, they weren't rare.
To be honest,
Talking about toxicity without dosage is sheer recklessness.
He himself believed that amount of blood had no effect on the vast Hansen River, and water quality tests had always shown stable results.
He even thought that once everyone on Ke's Plain died, the Bestiality Disease crisis would be over.
Now it seemed he'd been overly optimistic.
Sharon pondered a moment: "Possible, but I sampled seawater too—no Bestiality Disease blood factors detected."
"Could it be human-made?"
She shook her head: "Many factions border this sea; too many variables. It could even be Bestiality Disease leaked from Karinshan. I suggest tracing upstream along the Hansen River."
Ke's Plain was indeed the epicenter of the Bestiality Disease outbreak.
But it wasn't the only place with Bestiality Disease.
Luo De nodded: "Let's first investigate our side."
The group had been struck by the domain's shock—everyone except Luo De was in poor condition.
After collecting samples from the contaminated crew corpses and the giant siren corpse, they immediately burned the ship and bodies to ash with vengeful fire.
"That's enough."
Luo De watched the pink-purple flames rise, deciding to patrol the key coastal shipping routes again.
Plop—
A crisp splash echoed in the distance—a fish leaping from the water.
Such things were common in the ocean.
But the vague image from his Spider Sense clearly showed a humanoid silhouette.
He snorted.
Behind him, the monstrous war spirit of the Hundred-Eyed Demon emerged—its withered, twig-like arm shot like lightning into the sea.
Soon after,
Bubbles erupted densely from the water's surface.
Then the crimson, dried arm swiftly retracted.
Splash! Water sprayed everywhere.
"Aaaahhhhh—"
A girl's sharp scream rang through the air.
Luo De turned his head.
There, beneath the bright midday sun, a nude, half-human, half-fish creature dangled—her bright pink hair, soaked yet dry, streamed wildly in the wind.
A siren.
Just as legend described: her upper body was flawless—slim where it should be slim, curvy where it should be full, not an ounce of excess fat, a true beauty.
Luo De raised an eyebrow, locked onto her chest in an instant, then immediately looked disappointed.
"Though she has no clothes, are her scales covering her?"
That'd be fine too.
Partially visible? I like that.
The crimson Hundred-Eyed Demon arm tightened, hoisting her upside-down in midair.
But the siren had no intention of surrendering.
Her face shifted from gentle beauty to a snarling, fanged grimace, claws extended, attacking the withered arm gripping her tail.
Though it was useless.
She changed expressions just as quickly.
Realizing her attack failed, she instantly reverted to a pitiful, tearful gaze, looking pleadingly at Luo De.
She chattered incoherently, voice mournful and melodic.
And not just one language—she kept switching between them.
Sharon glanced at her, then immediately glared fiercely at Luo De.
"You really plan to take one home as a pet? This thing eats human flesh."
"Impossible—she was spying on us."
Luo De felt slightly guilty.
Eating human flesh? Whatever.
This morning, the ghoul Pan Ni tore a chunk of flesh right off my arm.
Dimiya said: "She seems to be saying something."
Their brief exchange reminded the siren. She paused, then spoke fluent Common Tongue.
Mostly directed at Luo De, her expression adoring:
"Great hero who eradicates evil! On behalf of the Thousand-Throated Lament Clan, I invite you to our palace for a victory feast! If you wish, our entire tribe is yours to choose from~~"
As she spoke,
Her eyes shimmered with seduction, utterly enchanting.
Sharon calmly explained to Luo De:
"Did you hear the tone of her voice? Rising, rhythmic—that's how sirens weave magic into speech. Anyone with low mental resistance will be hypnotized within seconds, lured into the sea, drowned, and devoured."
"Ohhh, I see~~"
Sharon froze, turning to look at her dog-man.
Seeing his raised eyebrow, she knew instantly—he was tempted.
Instant fury surged: "You're serious? Right in front of me?!"
