Chapter 215: Announcement on Official Release

~3 min read 476 words

Announcement on Official Release

The book will be officially released at noon today.

This book’s contract went smoothly—I wrote two openings, and Shuimo agreed to the internal signing. From the current situation, reader retention is decent; it has made it onto the Three Rivers list and the Little Trumpet.

While writing my previous novel, “Return to 1980: My Artistic Life,” I was already plotting my next book—a story set in a small county town.

I live in a small county town myself and am familiar with its social customs, its so-called Brahmins. But as web literature, there are many restrictions; I cannot delve into the core of county life—the inner workings of power, or the tangled relationships between politics and business.

I can only occasionally brush against these themes; the focus remains on everyday life—workplace, family, friends, classmates—lighter, more relaxed elements.

Of course, for a million-word web novel, this content is far from enough. By the middle and later stages, the protagonist will leave the county town and step into a broader world.

But his roots remain here, just like real-life big shots who always carry an inexplicable, unbreakable bond with their hometown—he frequently returns to the county, to the familiar environment. This is also one reason I chose a county town close to a major metropolis.

Also, this is a multi-female-lead novel, though not many female leads have appeared yet—all who have shown up are already here. Web novels are essentially wish-fulfillment; romance naturally follows suit.

Alright, back to the point.

The book goes live at noon today. Everyone says first-subscription numbers matter, so I hope you’ll help me out.

Today, I’ll release ten thousand words: three chapters at noon, two in the afternoon—I can’t do more. Starting tomorrow, I’ll aim for three chapters daily: two at noon, one in the afternoon. I say “aim” because it depends on my drafts—I can’t write 6,000 words a day, since I still have a job.

If there are tips: Guardian adds one chapter, Elder adds two, Sect Leader adds three, Master adds four, Alliance Leader adds five. Silver Alliance... I’ll dress up and dance for everyone. Ha, just kidding—what’s there to watch in an old man dancing?

If a Silver Alliance really appears, I’ll release all my drafts—but I’m an honest man speaking honestly: it’s only about twenty thousand words.

I can’t help it—I’m just an amateur writer with painfully slow typing speed, and I still want to keep some drafts for full-attendance bonuses.

Monthly votes: add one chapter for every 100 votes.

Finally, I beg you: please support with first subscriptions, full subscriptions, tips, and monthly votes!

I see some readers on QQ Reading—if you have money in your Qidian account, please subscribe to two chapters here. A high first-subscription count is like a lucky draw—it looks good.

Senwai bows to all readers.
