Suddenly I remembered—I haven’t written my subscription acknowledgment yet.

First, let me explain why the subscription came a bit early.

This book’s been unlucky: before subscription, my follow-reads hit 5,200, but it didn’t make the Sanjiang list because it ran into too many big-name authors at the same time—I couldn’t compete, couldn’t compete.

Normally I could’ve waited another round, but the next round was full of Outer Demons and veteran Qidian authors, each with terrifyingly high follow-reads; my fanfic naturally suffered in recommendations anyway, and as for the round after that—do I really want to compete with Xueyu’s new wave? Seriously?

So this book got pushed into subscription a bit hastily, but thankfully the performance’s been solid—it’s already surpassed a 4,000 average, which is an excellent result for a newbie like me on Qidian; I’m satisfied.

First, thank you all, seniors, for supporting this newbie and lowly dog—I got tons of data during the new book period, and my first-subscription numbers were fiercely supportive. Honestly, this Warhammer novel was my first ever—I picked it only because I’m a player myself and knew the setting well (even if my tabletop win rate is terrifyingly low).

Second, thank you, Qiji Yuyu (crossed out)—thank you, my beautiful, graceful, kind, and lovely editor Zhe Yu. She’s truly an excellent editor; I came to Qidian because a friend told me Zhe Yu was wonderful, diligent, and always pushing me to write. Honestly, many characters are still alive today only because Zhe Yu stopped me from killing them—like Leina, Rena, Old One-Eye, Lag.

Lastly, thank you to all the senior Qidian authors: the Group Five seniors helped me understand Qidian’s recommendation rules and exposed me to many of its pitfalls; one Group Five senior even argued fiercely to stop me from killing Rena (“She’s already a fool—why kill her?”); I also thank Xueyu, who gave me a chapter recommendation when I was at my lowest point—a chapter recommendation with ten thousand follows! I hit the jackpot!
