Chapter 13: This Cultist Is a Bit Weak
"My name is Ryan Luth." Zhou Yun said with complete seriousness.
The moment they heard this name, the three people present couldn't hold it in anymore.
"You don't need to fool us with such a perfunctory fake name," Monge said, shaking his head.
"It doesn't matter if you're unwilling to say your real name," Malchite said with a gentle smile.
"Do you have some obsession with Ryan and Luth?" the winged figure within the Bai Guang said.
A single name simultaneously fused two Primarchs of the Empire, and moreover, two Primarchs who were at odds with each other.
The Primarch of the Dark Angels, Lion El'Jonson.
The Primarch of the Space Wolves, Leman Russ.
The name Ryan Luth was as absurd in the 40K universe as someone being named Jesus Shakyamuni or Aisin Gioro Chongzhen.
"How is it a fake name? This name was given by my parents according to their own preferences," Zhou Yun said with a serious expression.
"Your father revered the Primarch Lion El'Jonson, and your mother revered the Primarch Leman Russ?" Monge asked with some curiosity.
"No, my dad likes cats, and my mom likes dogs," Zhou Yun said with a grin.
"Luth might laugh very happily, but Lion would absolutely not let you off," the winged figure within the Bai Guang said softly.
Monge and Malchite exchanged a glance; even though Zhou Yun couldn't see the faces beneath their hoods, he could feel their bewilderment at that moment.
"I now feel that you are on the same path as us."
Monge turned his head to look at Zhou Yun and said:
"Just for that sentence of yours just now, you deserve to be put on a pyre and slowly roasted for three days and three nights."
"Behind this is the PDF's base."
After passing through the maze-like streets of the abandoned hive city, Malchite and Monge brought Zhou Yun, who called himself "Ryan Luth," to a ruin deep within the Hive City district.
Monge, Malchite, and Zhou Yun hid behind a spacious house not far away, staring at the scene ahead.
Piles of rubble as high as mountains were wedged between the ground and the ceiling of the Hive City, like an insurmountable Wall of Sighs.
And at the foot of the rubble mountain, local gangs had already established temporary strongholds.
Small generators roared and bellowed, pumping electricity into the abandoned houses near this street, lighting up newly installed light bulbs one by one.
Old Sector Eight was once part of the Upper Hive, where the middle class of the Hive City lived.
They were the bureaucrats who handled the daily affairs of the Hive City, the senior managers of factories, and the political and economic service providers required for noble life.
Their living conditions were far better than those of the Lower Hive; here the space was larger, the buildings were better, and the streets were wider.
There was almost no opportunity to sneak in secretly through the complex streets.
Moreover, these gang members had built low walls between the houses using rubble, looking as if they were strictly guarding against all attacks.
After all, the equipment inside the PDF base behind this rubble mountain made countless gangs drool with envy.
Zhou Yun narrowed his eyes slightly.
He noticed that beside the rubble mountain, a small excavator that had already been assembled was parked there.
"They actually managed to get a small excavator in here?" Monge, squatting beside Zhou Yun, muttered quietly.
"It seems this gang has mechanics who understand technology," Zhou Yun said, nodding.
He saw that beside the machinery, two or three men dressed as Hive City workers were adjusting that small excavator.
"What method did you originally plan to use to get in?" Zhou Yun asked the two people covered in robes.
"My brother planned to corrode a tunnel in the pipe district to enter the PDF base from above," Monge said.
Zhou Yun's eye twitched slightly; he looked at the size of the rubble mountain before him and assessed the thickness between the pipe district and the PDF base.
"I'm afraid even if the Hua Di Huang stood up from the Wang Zuo, the two of you still wouldn't have dug through," Zhou Yun said with a twitch at the corner of his mouth.
"I feel the same way," Monge said with a face full of agreement.
"You two shouldn't be singing in unison," Malchite said, shaking her head somewhat helplessly: "We must have patience, very much patience."
"Then I'll figure out a way to get in by myself; you two go back and dig slowly," Zhou Yun said, shrugging.
"You have a way to get in?" Monge asked, looking at Zhou Yun.
"Just try not to have anyone die," Malchite said in a soft tone: "We don't want to attract too much attention."
Hearing this, Zhou Yun couldn't help but roll his eyes; he never expected that his first time cooperating with cultists, the cultists would actually demand no deaths.
How to put it? It was very much in the style of a Nurgle follower.
"Um, do you have any wonderful witchcraft that can make them get diarrhea or something?" Zhou Yun asked, stroking his chin.
Monge and Malchite exchanged a glance.
"My blood is toxic; if added to their water source, it should be able to make them get diarrhea... right?"
Monge said with an uncertain tone.
"Diarrhea? Just diarrhea?" Zhou Yun paused for a moment, looking at Monge somewhat strangely.
You, a Nurgle follower, and your blood can only make people get diarrhea?
Noticing Zhou Yun's strange gaze, Monge fell silent for a while before saying:
"Some unlucky ones might also get infected with parasites or something."
A Nurgle follower's blood only makes people get diarrhea and infected with parasites... thinking about it, it's a bit...
"It's fine; Monge's blood toxicity is very embarrassing; it has never killed anyone."
Malchite said calmly:
"If it weren't for its corrosiveness, Monge's blood wouldn't be fatal at all."
"After being added to water, the blood is diluted, and the corrosiveness poses no harm."
"Brother!" Monge said gloomily.
Hearing this, the corner of Zhou Yun's mouth twitched slightly.
Why did he feel these two cultists were a bit weak?
Margit's temper was so good it didn't seem like a cultist, and he was excessively patient.
Mong, as a Nurgle follower, had blood that, aside from being corrosive, could only cause diarrhea and parasitic infections.
No wonder Asford had never had much cultist trouble; it turned out your skill level was just this low.
Zhou Yun's gaze toward the two cultists suddenly held some pity; maintaining a cult in the Hive City at this level was no easy feat.
"But look, there are guards near their water source; how will you get Mong's blood in there?" Margit pointed at the water source and said.
Six or seven gang members were patrolling there.
"Sigh! I have an idea!" Zhou Yun chuckled lightly and pointed his finger at the excavator at the foot of the rubble hill.
The mechanical hand on top of his hat also extended a finger along with him.
Boom-——————
A sound of mechanical friction rang out; the small excavator parked at the foot of the rubble hill suddenly raised its mechanical arm high.
The Hive City workers debugging it nearby were startled and all stepped back a few paces.
"What are you doing?" a nearby gang member shouted in reprimand.
"We didn't move anything!" the Hive City workers hurriedly explained.
Then, in the shocked gazes of the workers and gang members, the excavator slowly turned its cab, facing the several gang members.
"Could it be the Machine Spirit has manifested?!" a Hive City worker, remembering the Machine Spirit he had once heard others speak of, shouted loudly.
"The Machine Spirit is greatly pleased!" another Hive City worker also couldn't help but shout.
Then, the excavator's mechanical arm swung down heavily, knocking one of the nearby gang members unconscious.
The Hive City workers' faces instantly shifted from excitement to terror.
"The Machine Spirit is displeased!"
