Chapter 565: Could it be that Doraemon is our Gene-Father?
"Lord Seth, are you truly not shocked by this scene?" Gabriel Seth's fingers trembled as he looked at the scene before him.
In the gladiatorial cage, two towering figures were locked in combat; hammers, swords, and shields collided, but the Astartes gathered around could not see clearly, hearing only the continuous, rhythmic sound of impact.
The Lion, Lion El'Jonson, was battling that beautiful silver-haired figure—the clone of the Primarch Fulgrim.
The two Primarchs were dueling with their superhuman physical prowess, a dazzling display of combat that left the Astartes completely unable to discern what was happening.
And in the adjacent gladiatorial cage, an Ultramarine shrouded in shadow was locked in a standoff with a battle-scarred Sister of Battle.
The two gazed at each other; in his lidless, pitch-black eyes and her faintly burning golden ones, it seemed as if the future was being reflected—and this future was constantly changing as the two made their predictions.
"They have been standing there for twenty minutes." Gabriel Seth was speechless.
That Ultramarine was the former Second Captain of the Ultramarines, Captain of the Doraemon Chapter's Ultramarine Company, and the Night Lord Chosen of Konrad Curze, Titus.
As for that Sister of Battle, she claimed to be the dual-chosen of Doraemon and the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang, an ordinary Sister of Battle named Letna.
It was said that both possessed the ability to foresee the future, which was why their duel had devolved into such a bizarre standoff.
Lion El'Jonson, the clone Primarch Fulgrim, the Night Lord Chosen Ultramarine Titus, and the dual-chosen of the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang and Doraemon, Letna. Are there not a few too many god-like beings on this ship?
"You arrived too late. A few decades earlier, and you could have seen the Primaris-enchanted Khorne-Doraemon-Hua Hua Hua Di Huang triple-chosen Abaddon and the Tzeentch-chosen Ahriman," Seth said gloomily.
With the return of Doraemon, the summons for the former Doraemon Chapter had been issued; those warriors who had once traveled together on the *Lord of Light* were converging toward the *Red Tear*.
Seth looked at the clone Primarch Fulgrim clashing with the Lion, and he couldn't help but think of that original Children of the Phoenix Chapter, the Primaris Astartes who called himself a son of Dorn, Thor.
Thor must have received the summons as well, but given the current situation, he likely wouldn't arrive before the *Red Tear* reached the homeworld of the Crimson Angels, Corinal. I am truly curious about the expression on Thor's face when he sees the clone Primarch Fulgrim.
Corinal—at the thought of that homeworld of the Crimson Angels, Seth couldn't help but exhale a breath of scorching blood-mist. He felt the rage in his chest intensifying bit by bit; it was surely the influence of that so-called Red Angel.
In the previous war council, Doraemon had told the high-ranking members of the various Blood Angels successor chapters the whole story.
The origin of everything lay with the Crimson Angels Chapter.
Many years ago, Seth's impression of the Crimson Angels was that of a paragon among the sons of Sanguinius, often envying their low incidence of the Black Rage and the Red Thirst.
But later, during the Battle of Baal, Seth and the other sons of Sanguinius learned the truth.
The Crimson Angels used a profane, secret dark ritual to suppress their Black Rage and Red Thirst.
The Crimson Angels called this the Ritual of Repentance. Every fifty years, they would hold it; in this ritual, they would drain the blood of a portion of their homeworld's population, gathering it into a blood pool.
Then, they would sacrifice a Sanguinary Priest, injecting the priest's blood into the pool as well, finally drinking their fill and crafting the remaining blood into blood-food to sustain them for their battles in the coming fifty years.
The darkest part of this ritual was that the blood of Sanguinius circulated within the Sanguinary Priests. No matter how the Ritual of Repentance was disguised, its essence was the plundering of Sanguinius's blood, using it as food to satisfy their own scarlet hunger.
Many years before the Battle of Baal, Dante had discovered this dark ritual, but the then-Chapter Master of the Crimson Angels, Chaude, declared: if the Blood Angels interfered with their Ritual of Repentance, the Crimson Angels would expose the secret of the Black Rage and the Red Thirst, letting the entire galaxy know of the Blood Angels' flaws.
This forced Dante to endure it, merely severing all ties with the Crimson Angels.
According to Captain Finney, who had disobeyed the Chapter Master's orders during the Battle of Baal and brought his company to support Baal: Chaude was now dead, and the Chapter Master who succeeded him was named Kuldus Mor.
But Mor not only failed to correct Chaude's mistakes, he instead intensified the Ritual of Repentance.
And Doraemon had unveiled the true face of the Ritual of Repentance.
The essence of this ritual was a conspiracy of the Blood God. The ritual pointed to the Red Angel, a daemon born ten thousand years ago from the rage of the Blood Angels, birthed from the Khorne artifact, the Fire of Fury.
Every time the Ritual of Repentance was held, it pushed the Crimson Angels further toward falling to the Red Angel, and it nourished the Red Angel.
And now, Tzeentch had joined this conspiracy.
The Changer of Ways sought to cultivate the Red Angel, allowing him to completely replace Sanguinius, usurping Sanguinius to become the Primarch of the Blood Angels.
Seth clenched his fists slightly. This profane abomination of the Warp dared to do such a thing!
"Lord Gabriel Seth, Lord Doraemon and Lord Sanguinius require your presence." Just then, a voice rang out, interrupting Gabriel Seth's train of thought.
A Custodian walked in from the training room door, standing at the entrance and calling out.
That Custodian was Shield-Captain Valerian, who had come along with Doraemon.
When Seth heard the name "Gabriel," he thought he was being called, but upon listening closely, he realized it was for the Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens next to him.
"Me?" Gabriel Seth was stunned for a moment, pointing a finger at himself, a bit confused.
He was just a plain, unremarkable Blood Ravens Chapter Master; why would Doraemon and the Primarch summon him?
Although Gabriel Seth felt puzzled, he did not refuse the summons, following the Custodian's footsteps to see Doraemon and the Primarch Sanguinius.
"In your twenty thousand simulations, is there true danger on Corinal?"
