Chapter 581

~5 min read 972 words

The cold, heartless sound of welding rang out; electricity and fire completely sealed the Hellbrute, and an unbearable darkness swallowed everything.

Steel pierced muscle, metal stabbed into nerves, tentacles licked the brain, and the soul was torn to pieces within this coffin; flesh and metal began to fuse.

Abaddon opened his mouth, emitting a silent and sharp wail,

but there was no one left to listen to this sound.

Vashtorr watched indifferently as the Abaddon-class Hellbrute was activated after the wetware was implanted; boundless Chaos evil energy surged from within, pouring into the body of this terrifying machine.

That was the blessing bestowed upon Abaddon by the Chaos Gods, but that was not the key.

More importantly, it was the strike with which Horus killed Sanguinius; that strike contained the supreme power of the gods, directly piercing through space-time and fate, tearing apart Sanguinius's essence, and having been continuously nourished by the remembrance of all living beings in the galaxy for ten thousand years. The power contained in this single strike alone was hundreds or thousands of times greater than the blessing the gods had given Abaddon.

On the ice moon of Krassus, Sanguinius had extended a portion of that wound onto Abaddon, directly crushing him and leaving him almost a cripple.

Now, Vashtorr had used a series of exquisite techniques to extract the power from that wound along with the gods' blessing within Abaddon, injecting them into this Hellbrute that condensed the wisdom of Vashtorr and Perturabo.

A sharp, frenzied roar surged from within the Abaddon Hellbrute; the flesh on his body writhed and mutated in an instant, and the terrifying Chaos evil energy made his body, which was already much larger than an average Hellbrute, appear even more bloated.

"Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!!"

A black hurricane whistled and blew; those Iron Warriors closest to the Hellbrute were instantly overturned, their power armor twisted and deformed in an instant, and the Astartes inside were directly shattered into meat paste.

Vashtorr vibrated the metal wings behind his back and retreated more than ten meters in an instant,

but in the blink of an eye, Abaddon swung the modified Talon of Horus and reached him, the sharp claw blades pressing directly toward Vashtorr's face.

Vashtorr didn't even have time to defend——————

Perturabo's speed was no slower; his body, like a wall of steel, slammed directly into the Abaddon Hellbrute.

Abaddon staggered a few steps under the impact of the Primarch, retreating repeatedly,

but even so, he still relied on his combat instincts to swing the hand that was not equipped with a weapon, smashing it toward Perturabo's face.

Perturabo raised a giant steel hand to block it,

and a burst of intense metallic wailing came from Perturabo's arm.

Vashtorr nodded lightly, extremely satisfied.

The power displayed by the Abaddon Hellbrute met his expectations.

Then, Vashtorr's mind stirred, and his will pierced violently into the Hellbrute's body, drilling between the iron and flesh.

In an instant, Abaddon's frenzied and hate-filled will was suppressed by Vashtorr.

This was Vashtorr's authority, the power of the domain of Malicious Craft.

The Hellbrute, which had been created by him in the first place, was even less capable of defying his will.

Abaddon struggled fiercely for a few moments, but it was ultimately to no avail; under Vashtorr's control, he retreated back to his original position, within the circle surrounded by the eight demons.

Vashtorr whispered incantations; these incantations came directly from the Book of Lorgar, the enchantment arts that Lorgar had once taught to Abaddon and Khayon.

Vashtorr had directly modified this technique, fusing it with his own.

Under the effect of the incantations, the seven demons bound by the contracts Vashtorr had signed emitted bursts of low growls.

Poppy, Penicillin, Huns, Pyramid Scheme, Maxim, Ten Plagues, The Unspeakable—seven demons closely related to humanity.

Ecstatic Perception, Corrupting Decay, Mindless Slaughter, Hellstorm, Malicious Craft, Greedy Dissolution, Indeterminate Distortion—seven great positions in the Warp.

The seven demons dissolved almost simultaneously, merging with the Abaddon Hellbrute and drilling into the positions within its interior that had already been prepared for them.

The blackstone eight-pointed star engraved on the Hellbrute's torso instantly burst forth with seven rays of light of different colors; blackstone can both suppress and amplify Warp energy, which depends entirely on its polarity.

This creation of the Void Dragon was indeed very valuable; Vashtorr had installed it on the Hellbrute to suppress the ripples generated when the seven domains collided with each other.

Under Vashtorr's control, the Hellbrute slowly crouched down and picked up the magic sword on the ground that was emitting a faint blue light.

That was Drach'nyen, the demon born from humanity's first murder, which had been sealed by the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang and transformed into a magic sword.

And it happened to belong to the domain of Erosion and Destruction, which was the domain of the Dark King, and also the domain currently vacant in the Hellbrute.

On the eight-pointed star, the corner symbolizing Erosion and Destruction burst forth with extremely bright radiance, as if Drach'nyen's power and contribution were the greatest among the eight demons.

But Vashtorr swept his mind over it and realized that Drach'nyen was just putting on a show; he was clearly the most powerful of the eight demons, and even Penicillin, the most powerful of the seven Greater Daemons, was far inferior to Drach'nyen.

Yet Drach'nyen's output was not even as good as the weakest Pyramid Scheme and Ten Plagues.

"If you are willing to serve me with all your might, I will find a way to lift the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang's restraint on you and let you shed the form of a sword," Vashtorr said, looking at Drach'nyen.

Drach'nyen was silent for half a second.

"Actually, being a sword is quite good," he replied to Vashtorr.
