Chapter 613: Actually, I have long been a human!

"Never seen one, have you? A genuine, authentic Terran human skull!"

Xie Mohe cradled his own rounded head and smiled at Zara-Susa.

Initially, he had replaced his head with the shape of a human skull entirely out of having witnessed the great power of the Saint Doraemon, realizing that the human race truly possessed something special; he used this method to show his loyalty and stance, while incidentally wanting to disgust the Silent King.

But ever since he switched to the human skull, the more Xie Mohe looked at his own head, the more novel it seemed, the more pleasing it looked, the more satisfied he felt, and the more beautiful he found it.

Can a Necron also be this beautiful?

No wonder he had always heard that the average attractiveness of humans was among the best of all races in the galaxy; looking at it now, it certainly made sense.

Looking at his new head, Xie Mohe even felt his stale will refreshed, and his logic brain's operating speed had increased by a significant margin.

"Human things are truly beautiful!" Xie Mohe couldn't help but exclaim.

Xie Mohe's words drew slight displeasure from the nearby Necron Phaerons and Overlords.

"Xie Mohe, our skulls are in the form of the Necrontyr race from before we lived; how can you change them so easily?" one Phaeron questioned coldly.

"What do you know? If I grew a long, slender skull like a Necrontyr head, would the Saint Doraemon pay any attention to me?" Xie Mohe snorted dismissively.

Regarding this Phaeron's assessment, Xie Mohe could only say they were still deceiving themselves; the relationship between their Necrons and the Necrontyr was likely not even as deep as that between Orks and mushrooms.

They were merely pretending to be the continuation of the Necrontyr, acting out the roles of those poor wretches destroyed by the C'tan.

"You are being too sycophantic toward humans!" another Phaeron spoke up to refute him.

"Actually, I have long been a human. According to human standards, as long as the skull looks like a human's, then it is human. How could I be sycophantic toward myself?" Xie Mohe said, his expression unchanged.

Since Necrons could consider themselves Necrontyr, why couldn't they consider themselves other races? Why couldn't they consider themselves human?

Xie Mohe had witnessed the capabilities of humans; humans truly had gods, and the human gods truly worked. Being a human was truly not a loss.

"Then what about your dignity!" Yet another Phaeron attempted to refute Xie Mohe.

"I am both a Necron and a human. With two great galactic hegemon-level civilizations serving me alone, how could my dignity be lacking?" Xie Mohe grinned, answering with a face full of pleasure.

The surrounding Necrons were left speechless, actually not knowing where to refute Xie Mohe; it wasn't because Xie Mohe's arguments were particularly persuasive, but simply because they were shocked by Xie Mohe's shamelessness.

Xie Mohe looked at the silent Phaerons and Overlords, unable to help but reveal a slight smile.

Studying history is good, studying history is still good; understanding history allows one to use history as a mirror, and by using history as a mirror, one will not be constrained by the past.

Xie Mohe knew very clearly that, excluding the Necrontyr portion, the so-called glorious past of the Necrons was not glorious at all.

They were created as slaves, and then destroyed their masters while they were weak; this was the entire history of their race.

And they likewise possessed no future; the Silent King's so-called reversal of biotransference was, in Xie Mohe's view, complete nonsense.

Necrons were never the direct product of biotransference; the flesh and blood of the Necrontyr were burned to ashes during biotransference, and their wills were swallowed along with their souls. Some fragmented memories remained, which were copied into living metal bodies, and thus they became Necrons; at most, they were just the waste left behind after biotransference.

Or rather, the dregs discarded by the C'tan during their feeding.

Delusionally attempting to restore the food itself through the dregs was simply wishful thinking.

But now, becoming a human meant one could possess both the past and the future; this was a massive profit.

"Lord Xie Mohe." Zara-Susa approached Xie Mohe's side silently: "Send me a copy of the skull's modeling data."

"You," Xie Mohe was a bit surprised: "You are very flexible!"

Zara-Susa's expression remained unchanged; the reason he did this was entirely because his territory was surrounded by humans, right next to the Blood Angels' home world, Baal.

This actual ruler of the Mephrit Dynasty did not care about things like Necron history, the Silent King's reversal of biotransference, or the Szarekh's order; he also had no desire to expand outward or fight for power.

He only wanted to protect himself and the remaining assets of the Mephrit Dynasty, and live his own little life; that was all.

But now the galaxy was becoming increasingly chaotic, and the difficulty of protecting his assets was growing; counting on the Silent King was definitely a dead end, but counting on Dante was still very reliable.

As a neighbor to the Blood Angels, Zara-Susa had dealt with the Blood Angels quite a bit over these years, and his biggest takeaway was that Dante was an honest man.

Reliable, loyal, and someone who could definitely be depended upon at critical moments.

Moreover, the Underworld was the Shield of Baal; if Zara-Susa were on good terms with the Blood Angels and helped them protect the Underworld,

then when the Underworld encountered danger, Dante would definitely dispatch strong and powerful troops to support it; this had already happened once decades ago.

Therefore, Zara-Susa was willing to express goodwill toward humans.

And by changing his head, others wouldn't recognize him at first glance, making it difficult to call him by his name; he would truly be the one who cannot be named.

"I have a Terran one here; this is the most standard human skull shape."

"And here is a Fenrisian one; its characteristics are prominent cheekbones and distinct canine teeth."

"This is a Custodian's; there are three cracks on their skull, which is said to be evidence of their proficiency in farming."

Xie Mohe leaned close to Zara-Susa, introducing them in a low voice.

"Are there any Baalite ones?" Zara-Susa asked. ===== CHAPTER 614 =====
