Chapter 698: All is dust
Warp, Steroid Planet. Sweat spilled from the scarlet skin. The scarlet Ma Genusi stared at Tzeentch, the Changer of Ways, hanging in the air.
Tzeentch's eerie figure constantly changed, constantly twisted, constantly displaying different postures. Every change displayed nearly infinite knowledge.
If an ordinary person saw this knowledge, they would probably have their head torn apart, their spirit shattered, and their flesh mutated on the spot.
Even a person with enough wisdom to understand this knowledge would have their spirit twisted on the spot, becoming a puppet, turning into a pawn of fate.
But the current Ma Genusi was different. This knowledge was like water to him, and his head was an IP68-rated waterproof, extremely smooth stainless steel lump. The knowledge splashed on his head, flowing away with a splash, without leaving even a trace.
Ma Genusi's existence itself had been twisted. It was the bacteria that Zhou Yun had previously cast into the Book of Ma Genusi to devour the knowledge in the book that were playing a role.
The power of those bacteria exceeded Tzeentch's expectations. They not only acted on the current Book of Ma Genusi but also acted on the past, present, and future Books of Ma Genusi, completely twisting Ma Genusi's existence from beginning to end, and even Ma Genusi's link to Tzeentch's domain was being stripped away bit by bit.
The former Ma Genusi was endless thirst for knowledge; regardless of good or bad, all knowledge was collected into his self.
The current Ma Genusi was an absolute domain of ignorance; regardless of good or bad, all knowledge was rejected by his self.
He still possessed the ability to understand and recognize things, but he could not store the results of this understanding and recognition as knowledge.
But this was not necessarily a bad thing, at least not a bad thing for Ma Genusi. Without the troublesome knowledge acting as threads to pull his body, he instead became much clearer.
His gaze toward Tzeentch proved this point. Although he had no knowledge, his single eye was exceptionally clear.
"Coach!" Ma Genusi's voice was like thunder, but Tzeentch's figure shrank back with disgust.
Unbearable, truly unbearable.
The current Ma Genusi had completely overlapped with his essence; he was already a minor god of the Warp, but not the divinity Tzeentch wanted.
The current Ma Genusi was a god of ignorance. Tzeentch touching him was like touching a scorching fireball, burning His fingers with pain.
If Ma Genusi were allowed to continue growing like this, perhaps he would even backfire on Tzeentch, causing tremendous influence on Tzeentch.
Tzeentch could only rely on that faint, seemingly real and seemingly illusory muscle authority as a thread to control Ma Genusi.
But Tzeentch was truly a god of muscles now, yet Ma Genusi's muscles were his own imagination, not real.
Once Ma Genusi realized the deception within, this fragile thread would instantly snap... No, He had actually already begun to realize it.
"You have already sensed it?" Tzeentch's voice sounded beside Ma Genusi's ear, sharp and piercing.
But Ma Genusi's expression did not move, as if completely unaffected by Tzeentch's voice.
"I can see what is a lie and what is the truth." Ma Genusi said.
"This is truly rare for someone who cannot acquire knowledge." Tzeentch's figure constantly twisted, and dense tentacles, strange birds, and eerie flames all tried to reach toward Ma Genusi.
But these powers brushed past Ma Genusi's body without having any influence on Ma Genusi.
"Knowledge does not equal wisdom. A person with knowledge may be foolish due to arrogance, while an ignorant person may instead be wise due to humility."
Ma Genusi gazed at Tzeentch and said in a voice like thunder:
"Without knowledge, I instead see some things clearly."
"Coach, you treat me as a puppet. I am not angry about this; I only hate myself for being foolish due to arrogance in the past."
"But you treat my sons as puppets. You conspired to turn my sons into puppets through Ahriman's hands. I cannot tolerate this."
Tzeentch looked at the nearly snapping thread. He understood that Ma Genusi was already out of control. He could no longer use Ma Genusi like a puppet.
Admittedly, Ma Genusi was ascended by Him, and his body and soul had been dyed through by Tzeentch's evil power. He could destroy Ma Genusi completely in a single thought if He wanted to, but this was not what Tzeentch wanted.
He still needed Ma Genusi. The body cultivated by the Hive Mind was approaching birth, and Zhou Yun was about to entangle with it.
The Changer of Ways needed a tool to help Him seize Robert Guilliman.
The Changer of Ways raised one of His 990,000 arms, and thousands of threads extended from His fingertips, connecting to every Thousand Son, weaving into a dense net. Every Thousand Son was like a small insect falling on it.
Spider silk entangled, fate as a prison; every Thousand Son could not escape Tzeentch's palm.
Ma Genusi issued a light sigh.
Ahriman, who was doing push-ups, suddenly trembled. He sensed a feeling of liberation; some threads connected to his body snapped.
His body trembled abruptly, and he raised his head with some confusion.
He... he was no longer Tzeentch's chosen.
Not just him, but on many Thousand Sons beside him, their links to Tzeentch also snapped with a bang. All the Thousand Sons looked around with confusion and bewilderment, not understanding what had happened, not understanding why they had been released by Tzeentch.
Why?
Ahriman's thoughts stalled, a hint of horror appearing on his face. He remembered some of Ma Genusi's strange expressions these days and formed a guess.
His psychic power spread toward the Empyrean, and he saw it.
The Changer of Ways, whose figure changed more than 9,000,000 times in that instant, was entrenched at the high place of the Warp, hanging around the Steroid Planet. Just by looking at His figure, Ahriman felt his thoughts chaotic and his flesh surging, but he still gritted his teeth and looked at the figure before Tzeentch.
That figure was very massive, but before the Changer of Ways, it appeared so small, like a dim sixth-magnitude star in the eerie night sky, releasing a faint scarlet light.
But just by looking at that scarlet star, Ahriman seemed to regain his reason and found a reliance.
That scarlet back was so reliable, like a wall built before Ahriman.
Ahriman remembered the rainy night that submerged Prospero, remembered the black water filling the sky, the howling wild wolves, the shattered pyramids, and the broken Crimson King.
Remembered that last glance the Crimson King's broken eyes gave him.
Fenris's frost wind was sharp and bone-chilling; Prospero's Crimson Monarch chose to bear it alone.
As always.
"Why!" Ahriman roared and questioned: "Why! Father, why once again..."
Ma Genusi was being dragged into His domain by the Changer of Ways, but dragged toward that thing called the Well of Eternity.
The Crimson King turned his head and looked at Ahriman with his broken single eye.
+What other reason does a father need to protect his son? +
"Father!!!" Ahriman issued a roar, but Ma Genusi raised his hand at this moment.
Boundless Warp energy surged, gathering into a tide, washing over Ahriman's body, instantly pressing Ahriman's will back to the Steroid Planet. ===== CHAPTER 699 =====
