Chapter 80

~7 min read 1,287 words

Zhou Yun looked at the sticky yellow pus on his fingertips and suddenly felt a wave of dizziness.

A series of pains came from his stomach, a strong sense of nausea surged in his throat, and his skin began to heat up and turn red.

Disease.

Zhou Yun had been infected with a disease.

It was the Screamer-Killer's blade; that blade which had slashed Zhou Yun's cheek had transmitted the disease to Zhou Yun,

infecting Zhou Yun with the plague from Nurgle... the plague from within Morge's body.

Zhou Yun only felt his legs go weak, and he couldn't help but retreat a few steps, leaning against a metal pillar and sitting down.

The discomfort continued to deepen; his muscles began to ache, his bones trembled faintly, his nerves caused his limbs to shake slightly, and his throat was full of thick phlegm.

Inflammation appeared faintly at the corners of his eyes, swollen pustules appeared on his body, and fat granules accumulated from his pores into sores...

"Sorry, Leman Russ."

Margit's voice carried deep apology:

"This disease is not fatal; both I and Morge genuinely consider you a friend."

Zhou Yun endured the pain surging from his lungs and glanced at Morge.

His throat seemed to have accumulated a lot of thick phlegm, which made his voice hoarse:

"Is this how you treat friends? Treating me with disease and plague?"

"I don't want to either." Margit shook his head slightly: "But you have too little trust in us."

"If you could have family-like trust in us, we would have become good friends long ago and could have saved Ashford together."

Margit's voice was full of sincerity, seemingly without a hint of falsehood:

"Everything I do is to save Ashford."

"Save?" A mocking laugh came from Zhou Yun's throat.

"Save!"

Margit nodded solemnly:

"The Tyranid swarm is about to descend; how can Ashford be saved?"

"Is it the Viceroy? The Viceroy who was given the duty by the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang to watch over a planet?"

"Is it the Blood Angels? The descendants of the Great Angel, the death angels born to protect humanity?"

"Or the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang himself? That great god who claims to love all humanity?"

"No!"

Margit's tone suddenly turned sharp:

"The Viceroy only cares about his own survival, the Blood Angels care more about their home planet, and even the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang refuses to cast a shred of mercy upon the masses of Ashford."

"Only the angels are determined to save Ashford; they want to save everyone... even if they are quite weak."

"Since the Hua Hua Hua Di Huang is unwilling to save the masses of Ashford, then let us do it..."

As he spoke, Margit turned his head to look at the Warp engine, his voice low as he said:

"I often say I am willing to be open and honest with you; I intend to use this Warp engine to open a door to the Warp."

"The Father of All Life's divine army will be able to enter reality and eventually bring the entire planet back into the Father's realm."

"There, everyone will survive."

Margit finished speaking and turned to look at Zhou Yun.

He discovered that beneath Zhou Yun's slightly swollen eyelids due to inflammation were eyes that seemed to be looking at a fool.

"So your salvation..."

Zhou Yun's throat moved a few times, making his throat feel slightly more comfortable:

"... is to let everyone get infected with all sorts of messy viruses, bacteria, and parasites, and then go butterfly swimming in the Warp cesspit together?"

"Help me tell the Fourteenth Legion Commander Typhus that I have no intention of competing for his ten-thousand-year title of cesspit freestyle champion."

"... You know the Father's realm quite well."

Zhou Yun's words made the corners of Margit's eyes twitch slightly:

"Then you should also understand that no matter how many viruses, bacteria, and parasites coexist, there will be no true death in the Father's realm."

"You should also understand that in that lush realm, everyone will obtain happiness and joy, forever."

"As for cesspit butterfly swimming... that is a personal hobby."

"First of all, I have to object to everyone being happy and joyful... Have you asked for the opinion of First Captain Mortarion? I think he is quite depressed."

Zhou Yun lay under the metal pillar, looking at Margit with dead-fish eyes and complaining.

"No matter, once you personally experience the Father's blessing, you will know whether everything is happy."

Margit shook his head, and after speaking, he walked toward the Warp engine that was running and whistling.

Margit raised the curved sword in his hand high.

The triangular sword, which had been sacrificed using the entire Old Eighth District as a petri dish for the plague, was wrapped within it.

"Sevenfold Curse!"

Margit shouted loudly, every word seemingly using the strength of his whole body, exhausting the energy of every cell:

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

Seven syllables echoed in Margit's throat, and sevenfold diseases squirmed on Margit's body.

In the first district, plague zombies were fighting with Genestealers on the streets.

Many humans and Genestealers throughout the entire first district had been converted into members of this endless tide of corpses.

These patients infected with the living corpse virus had not died, but they could definitely not be called alive either.

As if they were one, they suddenly raised their heads numbly and looked at the dome of the first district.

In the depths of this Hive World where the sky could not be seen, layers of dark clouds suddenly gathered from the "sky."

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

Rain poured down, black as ink, fishy as blood, and filthy as excrement.

The viscous rain fell on the faces of every plague zombie and also fell fairly on those few remaining Genestealers.

The thick nectar swept across the cheeks of every life, and the terrifying viruses contained within it eroded all life.

The sound of the rain was so loud, like a thousand bells ringing, drowning out the painful wails of those eroded by the virus.

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

Every raindrop was wrapped in countless diseases, sliding down their cheeks.

Every disease contained millions of living beings, multiplying within their bodies.

Every living being was full of infinite joy, laughing between their flesh and blood.

A moment later, only plague zombies remained in the entire first district.

They raised their hands high, welcoming this sea of rain that made all things reborn.

The rain filling the sky made their diseases grow even more severe.

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

In the Empyrean, in Nurgle's lush garden, the Nurglings sang aloud.

They had succeeded; they were about to save a planet and let the masses on that planet obtain happiness.

A group of brand-new members was about to be integrated into their happy big family.

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

The Rain Father, Rotigus, shook his yellow willow branch, praising the Nurglings for their hard work.

The Plague Father, Ku'gath, also raised his head from the work of cultivating viruses and applauded for the little Nurglings.

Septicus also praised joyfully, and Typhus nodded repeatedly in praise; only Mortarion remained depressed.

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

Margit raised his curved sword.

The worms all over his body squirmed with joy, the viruses raged with happiness, and the bacteria multiplied with delight.

Margit stabbed the curved sword heavily into the Warp engine.

"Sevenfold Curse!! Sevenfold Disease!! Sevenfold Blessing!!!"

In the first district, in an abandoned house, Jeanne slowly opened her eyes.

A faint golden radiance shone in her pupils... like a tiny sun.
