Chapter 447: The Peng Goes Mad, the Blood Sea Descends
Deep within the Shattered Star Abyss, fragments of continents fell from the void, only to be shredded by spatial storms.
The Peng stood at the heart of destruction, bloodstains still wet on his brow, demonic aura surging skyward.
At this moment, he had slipped into madness; his true Peng form loomed over heaven and earth, and alone, he launched a direct assault against Doumu Yuanjun and the other two.
Zhenyuanzi, with the Earth Book floating above his head, projected a phantom of the Earth Immortal Realm beyond the domain, layers of earth-yellow divine light cascading down to form a mountainous prison, attempting to trap the charging Peng.
Doumu Yuanjun stood amidst starlight, the Star Constellation Divine Seal suspended in her palm, ready to strike the Peng at any moment.
The underpowered Zhenwu Emperor could only interfere with the Peng using his Purifying Demon Sword intent from the sidelines.
Zhenyuanzi struck first, slamming his palm downward; the Earth Book opened, and countless phantom mountains descended from the void beyond the domain.
The Peng evaded Zhenyuanzi’s attack with the Peng’s Ultimate Speed technique, exhaling a breath of Northern Darkness coldness that froze heaven and earth, shattering the Earth Book’s prison.
Zhenyuanzi’s killing intent fully revealed, he pointed a finger and unleashed the Mountain-Shaking Divine Finger technique; his fingertip condensed thick, dark-yellow energy, carrying the weight of ten thousand mountains as it struck the Peng.
“Peng, today is the day to settle accounts for Hongyun.”
The Peng looked up, his eyes showing not a trace of retreat; he summoned a curtain of water through the Northern Darkness principle to block Zhenyuanzi’s Mountain-Shaking Divine Finger.
“Settle accounts?” The Peng sneered, his laughter growing louder, shaking the meteorites around the Shattered Star Abyss into explosions.
“Zhenyuanzi, what right do you have to settle accounts with me?”
“Back then in the Purple Cloud Palace, Hongyun played the good man and gave up his seat, ruining my opportunity.”
“He died because he was foolish—he deserved it. In the Primordial Chaos, whoever lags behind deserves death.”
Upon hearing this, Zhenyuanzi shook his dust whisk; each white filament transformed into celestial chains locking toward the Peng.
The Peng spread his wings, ink-black demonic energy surging into a Northern Darkness tidal wave that swept aside the chains.
Watching the two clash evenly, Doumu Yuanjun finally acted.
She let the Star Constellation Divine Seal fall from her palm.
“Bind.”
Three hundred and sixty-five primary starlight pillars descended from the depths of the void; though this place lay beyond the Three Realms, Doumu Yuanjun, wielding her authority as Mother of the Stars, forcibly summoned stellar power—starlight turned to chains, piercing demonic energy to clamp onto the Peng’s true form.
Zhenwu Emperor stepped forward and slashed with the Purifying Demon Sword; frost-white blade light cleaved through the ink-black demonic sea, aiming straight for the Peng’s throat.
The three combined forces unleashed their deadliest strikes.
The Peng’s eyes burned crimson; he flared his wings, condensing spatial laws upon them.
Behind him, the Great Peng’s phantom emerged.
The Great Peng tore through the void, its phantom forcibly holding back the Star Division chains and the Purifying Demon Sword light.
BOOM!
Dozens of shattered star-continents within the Shattered Star Abyss were swept by the shockwave, instantly reduced to dust.
The Peng’s body staggered, his brow wound bleeding anew.
Though powerful, he had just been interrupted by Su Chen in the critical moment of assimilating the Primordial Chaos Purple Qi, and his origin had been shaken by the Chaos Bell.
Now facing the encirclement of Zhenyuanzi, Doumu Yuanjun, and Zhenwu Emperor, he was finally strained.
Zhenyuanzi perceived this; he turned another page of the Earth Book, spreading golden light that drew the phantom mountains and rivers inward.
“You won’t leave today.”
The Peng stared coldly at him.
“You cannot hold me.”
As he spoke, the outer void of the Shattered Star Abyss suddenly tore open—a shadow crashed through the starlight seals at an unimaginable speed, racing straight toward the battlefield.
Doumu Yuanjun’s eyes darkened.
“Stop him!”
The Star Constellation Divine Seal reversed direction; dozens of star chains instantly pierced toward the shadow.
But the shadow moved too fast—one flash, it slipped past the chains; another flash, it stood behind the Peng.
Zhenwu Emperor recognized the shadow and said grimly, “That’s the Peng from the Three Realms—this must be one of his Three Corpses!”
Zhenyuanzi nodded.
“This is his Self-Corpse.”
The shadow passed through the three and slammed directly into the Peng’s body.
In the next instant, the Peng transformed into human form; his previously chaotic aura stabilized. Two streams of light emerged from him—one became a dark palace hovering above the Peng’s head, echoing with the worship of ten thousand demons: the Supreme Primordial Magic Treasure, the Demon Master Palace.
The other flowed into the Peng’s palm, forming the Northern Darkness Sword; its blade trembled, instantly frosting the surrounding void with black ice.
With the Demon Master Palace above his head and the Northern Darkness Sword in hand, the Peng’s combat power reached its peak.
Seeing this, Doumu Yuanjun’s expression turned grave; she raised her hand and formed a seal, rearranging the stars anew.
Zhenyuanzi shielded himself with the Earth Book and summoned the Mountain-Shaking Seal once more.
Zhenwu Emperor held his sword before him, ready for battle.
The three exchanged glances, each now carrying deeper gravity.
This was the true Ancient Demon Master.
The Peng raised the Northern Darkness Sword, its tip aimed at Zhenyuanzi.
“I have endured countless eons. Today, I finally found the chance to prove my Dao.”
“Then a petty thief disrupted it.”
“Since you let that thief escape, you shall bear my wrath instead!”
The Peng stepped forward; the Demon Master Palace above his head burst open, primordial Dao patterns and array lines spreading across the void.
Simultaneously, he swung the Northern Darkness Sword downward; a black blade light cut across the Shattered Star Abyss.
The Earth Book’s light barrier blocked before Zhenyuanzi; the blade light struck the barrier.
BOOM!
The earth-yellow barrier was forcibly split open at one corner; Zhenyuanzi stepped back half a pace.
He glanced down at the Earth Book—the scroll itself was unharmed, but the phantom barrier it generated had been sliced open.
The Peng sneered.
“Zhenyuanzi, even your turtle shell can be broken.”
Zhenyuanzi lifted his head, his killing intent undiminished.
“Then try again.”
Doumu Yuanjun seized the opening and struck; the Star Constellation Divine Seal transformed into a massive purple star, crashing toward the Demon Master Palace.
Zhenwu Emperor followed closely; his Purifying Demon Sword light merged with starlight, slicing into the palace’s array patterns.
The Demon Master Palace trembled; screams of ten thousand demons echoed from within its gates.
The Peng reversed his sword; Northern Darkness light severed the star streams, then his wings sprouted—he unleashed the Peng’s Ultimate Speed, charging straight for Zhenwu Emperor, the weakest among them.
Zhenyuanzi hurled the Earth Book to block before Zhenwu Emperor.
Zhenwu Emperor, shielded by the Earth Book, met the Northern Darkness Sword head-on.
The two swords clashed; Zhenwu Emperor’s divine body shuddered, new cracks appearing on his form—but he did not retreat a single step.
The Peng’s eyes turned dark.
“Zhenwu, do you truly think I won’t kill you?”
Zhenwu Emperor gripped his sword, voice steady.
“Try.”
As the Peng prepared to strike again, Zhenyuanzi activated the Mountain-Shaking Seal, crushing down from behind; Doumu Yuanjun’s star chains simultaneously clamped onto his wings.
Zhenyuanzi’s voice rang out.
“Peng, where is Hongyun’s Primordial Chaos Purple Qi?”
At this, the Peng’s fury intensified.
“Primordial Chaos Purple Qi?”
He gritted his teeth, voice brimming with uncontainable rage.
“That purple qi was startled away by Su Chen, that little thief! He’s the one who let it escape!”
“You don’t chase him—you come to block me?”
Zhenyuanzi replied coldly, “Had you not betrayed Hongyun back then, how could the Primordial Chaos Purple Qi have been lost to this day?”
The Peng laughed in furious rage.
“Hongyun, Hongyun—always Hongyun!”
“He’s been dead for countless eons, yet you still cling to his old grudge.”
With that, the Peng’s Demon Master Palace slammed downward; ancient demon characters ignited, forming an ancient demonic court killing array.
The Northern Darkness Sword slashed again—blade light, demon characters, spatial laws, and the Law of Consumption all erupted together.
Zhenyuanzi’s Earth Book soared through the air, bracing against the Demon Master Palace.
Doumu Yuanjun guided the Star Constellation Divine Seal to strike the Peng’s true form.
Zhenwu Emperor seized the gap in the blade light and thrust the Purifying Demon Sword into the Peng’s shoulder.
Demon blood sprayed; the Peng struck out with one palm, sending Zhenwu’s divine body flying backward.
Doumu Yuanjun swept her star robe, catching Zhenwu.
Zhenyuanzi seized the chance and activated the Mountain-Shaking Seal; a ten-thousand-zhang great seal descended from the void, crashing onto the Demon Master Palace.
The Demon Master Palace shook violently; the Peng groaned in his throat.
Though he had regained his peak, Zhenyuanzi and Doumu Yuanjun were no ordinary Pre-Saints.
Zhenyuanzi, his equal among the ancient greats, was invincible the moment he summoned the Earth Book; Doumu Yuanjun, wielding authority over the celestial constellations, could seal space and wield formidable killing power.
And the True Martial Emperor was a madman, utterly disregarding his own injuries, relentlessly striking with his Sword of Pacifying Demons.
The Peng grew increasingly strained; now partially conscious, he began to consider retreating.
But every time the Peng accelerated to full speed, the Star Chains would descend, forcing him back.
The Peng finally realized the danger—his quasi-Saint primordial essence began to boil.
Zhenyuanzi’s eyes flickered.
“He’s going to fight to the death.”
Doumu Yuanjun raised her hand, and the Star Constellation Divine Seal blazed with radiant light.
At that moment, on the other side of the Shattered Star Abyss, the void suddenly turned blood-red.
A river of blood appeared out of nowhere, and upon it, the Twelve-Petal Karma Crimson Lotus slowly bloomed.
Upon the lotus, a Daoist walked across the waves, two killing swords behind him emitting piercing sword cries.
The Blood Sea’s Minghelaozu had arrived; he looked at the Peng trapped at the center and smiled.
“Old Peng, don’t be so angry. Such a divine artifact as the Primordial Purple Qi— you cannot control it.”
The Minghelaozu waved his hand, and the entire sky erupted into a raging sea of blood.
“Hand over the Primordial Purple Qi to Old Ancestor, and I’ll save you.”
