Chapter 355: Otherworld Invasion, Preparing to Net Them All
Kamikawa Mitsu was stunned.
The characteristics Akie imagined for the race matched exactly those of this race, and every characteristic she imagined could be found in this race.
It was entirely the same race.
The race named "Immortal Clan" was precisely the race Akie had imagined.
If it had been just one or two or three similar characteristics, Kamikawa Mitsu wouldn't have thought much of it.
But all the characteristics were similar.
Crucially, these weren't ordinary characteristics—they were bizarre, nearly impossible to combine, yet they truly existed!
Identical asexual reproduction, born inherently powerful, fixed and extremely small population, one death means one less, and when one is born, the parent dies.
"Coincidence?"
Kamikawa Mitsu muttered to himself, then immediately shook his head.
This was way too much of a coincidence.
Did her mouth have divine blessing?
Kamikawa Mitsu fell silent.
It wasn't just divine blessing on her mouth—this was prophecy. A seer with infinite divine luck.
Had Akie encountered this race before?
Or perhaps…
Kamikawa Mitsu unconsciously gazed at Kamikawa Akie.
If previous coincidences could still be called coincidences, what about this one? Was her mouth truly blessed?
It couldn't be that simple.
Perhaps Akie truly possessed some special prophetic ability, divine-mouth power, or wish-fulfillment talent—some unique power making her words come true the moment she spoke them.
Or perhaps Akie had unintentionally encountered this race before, leaving her subconscious with an impression of it?
I was reborn into Japan and have lived with Akie ever since; if this race had ever contacted her, it couldn't have been during my reborn lifetime.
If contact did occur, it must have happened before my rebirth, when Kamikawa Mitsu was still the original host.
But…
If this race truly contacted Akie, why would it contact her?
Is Akie special in some way, or was it just random chance with no particular reason?
"Nii-san?"
Seeing Kamikawa Mitsu staring blankly at her, Akie curiously waved her hand in front of his face.
"Nii-san, why are you zoning out?"
"Oh, nothing. I was thinking about the races you and Iori and the others imagined—whether any beings in the world resemble them."
"Did you find any?"
"Yes."
Kamikawa Mitsu casually picked up a pen and wrote down each race the system identified as similar, sketching their forms as well.
Their strength soared, their mental and manual abilities improved, reaching divine-demon levels—everyone became an artist, at least capable of simple sketches.
Kamikawa Akie watched intently as Kamikawa Mitsu wrote and drew the races.
Long silence.
"Nii-san, why are you only drawing the races Iori and the others imagined? What about mine? Is there no similar race to the one I imagined?"
Akie looked at him with hopeful eyes.
Kamikawa Mitsu ruffled Akie's small head:
"Of course there is—I'm saving it for the grand finale."
But Kamikawa Mitsu didn't speak directly; instead, he asked Akie first.
"Akie, why did you imagine this race with these specific traits? Did you see something, or encounter something, that led you to these ideas?"
Akie paused, startled.
She didn't understand why Kamikawa Mitsu suddenly asked this, but answered honestly:
"Seen something? Probably. After reading the first volume of the Bestiary, I saw so many beings with countless traits, but noticed there were no asexual reproducers in it—so I added asexual reproduction.
The other traits were added because some were rare in the Bestiary, so I combined them."
She hummed, thought carefully, then continued:
"I just picked out some cool, rare traits and added others I thought of myself that weren't in the first volume of the Bestiary—that's how I came up with this race.
Nii-san, isn't this race awesome? My favorite part is that its numbers are extremely small, yet every member is born a powerhouse."
Did I overthink this?
Is it really just an impossible coincidence?
Listening to Akie explain clearly why she conceived each trait, justifying every detail, Kamikawa Mitsu froze.
At his level, it was easy to tell if an ordinary person was lying.
He could see Akie wasn't lying—she truly imagined the race exactly as she described.
Forget it.
If I can't figure it out, I might as well stop thinking. I'll find time to investigate this race myself.
The "Immortal Clan" has only twenty members; investigating them will be easy.
"Akie, your little brain is sharp—you imagined a race that actually exists, and unlike Iori and the others, whose races only had similar traits by chance, yours actually exists."
Kamikawa Mitsu drew out the information and form of the Immortal Clan.
Seeing this, Akie's delicate face lit up with delight.
"Really?! Wow! I'm so awesome, hehe—I told you my imagined race was great, but Iori and the others didn't believe me. I'm going to tell Iori and the others right now that my imagined race actually exists, while theirs are just fantasies, at best similar ones."
Chiemi happily clutched her notebook labeled "Immortal Clan" and ran to get her phone, opening Line—clearly ready for a girl-to-girl bragging session.
Several days passed.
Kamikawa Mitsu woke early and made breakfast.
Knock knock knock.
"Chiemi, wake up and eat."
He knocked on Chiemi's door, then prepared to clean up the kitchen.
But at that moment.
As if sensing something, he paused, his eyes swirling with rising and sinking sun and moon, stars birthing within—profound beyond measure, as if gazing through the vastness, sweeping across several directions.
Those directions were the Shikoku region of Japan, several sea areas, and the direction of America.
"Already connected, then."
Kamikawa Mitsu murmured, his expression utterly calm, unchanged as ever.
"I thought they'd open one after another, but they opened all at once? Perfect—I'll net them all in one go."
With those words spoken.
Kamikawa Mitsu opened the Script System.
He activated the Custom Mini-Script function, opened the Character section, added a character, then entered the name "Kamikawa Mitsu."
Then he opened the Character section again...
In central Shikoku Island, Japan, near Shishan.
At this moment.
The vast town—no one could be found on the streets, nor within any building, not even a single shadow.
Clearly, the entire town near Shishan had become an empty city, utterly deserted.
