Chapter 338

General Sun, you flatter me; since General Sun wishes to spar, then I, Si Mou, shall obey rather than merely show respect.

Seeing someone challenge him, Si Yan's heroic spirit surged, and he returned the salute.

Seeing this, the crowd scattered, clearing an open space to make room for the two generals' duel.

The autumn wind blew strong, their lapels fluttering in the breeze, giving them an air of martial heroes.

Si Yan and Sun Wukong stood facing each other; though both wore smiles, their eyes sparkled with the fire of battle.

The battle was about to erupt; Si Yan struck first, his form like wind, swiftly approaching Sun Wukong and unleashing a palm strike, the forceful wind howling.

Sun Wukong reacted swiftly, sidestepping the palm and countering with a punch, yet Si Yan nimbly dodged it.

The two moved quickly in the arena, their moves fierce, offense and defense orderly, leaving onlookers dazzled.

Nice skill!

Si Yan responded, his eyes flashing with excitement.

Sun Wukong laughed loudly, 'But if you want to beat me, you'll need to add a bit more strength!'

This Asura Hellforge Halberd is pitch-black all over, its shaft etched with eerie runes, as if containing endless hellish power.

After Si Yan and Sun Wukong briefly exchanged blows, their fighting spirit was fully ignited.

A flash of sharp light crossed Si Yan's eyes; he shifted his stance, retreated several steps, and drew from his back a peculiarly shaped weapon—the Asura Hellforge Halberd.

Note: When using God-Demon Annihilation Slash, aside from weapon and mount bonuses, all other strength bonuses are ineffective for Si Yan himself.

Effect 3: 'Past I went, then by Xingtian, heaven's flying shadow, shadow's diamond,' upgrade to Hell-Face Asura; when one's righteous or evil aura reaches an extreme and rises to the strongest aura, one's strength permanently increases by 1 and this skill advances to Hellforge Asura.

Effect 1: Lethal, God-Demon Annihilation Slash; after using this secret technique, while holding the halberd and using God-Demon Annihilation Slash, once this effect triggers, all strength boosts and suppression effects from one's own skills cannot activate; using this effect instantly raises one's strength by 20–30 points and suppresses the opponent by 3–6 points (the longer the charge, the greater the increase); after this effect triggers, one's stamina is greatly depleted and the halberd suffers minor damage; upon advancing to Hell-Face Asura, one may gain a new ultimate skill.

Si Yan gripped the Asura Hellforge Halberd tightly, took a deep breath, suddenly pointed the halberd at the heavens, and let out a loud shout.

Effect 2: Strongest Aura, unique through the ages; when one's inner aura arises, strength increases by 6 points; when the inner aura reaches a certain peak, strength increases another 7 points; when the inner aura reaches its zenith, strength increases a final 8 points; when the aura is broken, this effect seals, yet can be activated simultaneously.

The two faced each other with weapons, and the atmosphere suddenly grew tense.

Golden light gleamed; one end bore exquisite dragon carvings, the other was entwined with auspicious clouds, appearing mysterious and unfathomable.

At this moment the autumn wind seemed to freeze, and the crowd's breathing grew shallow and cautious, fearful of disturbing the impending showdown.

Ding! Si Yan's skill Asura Burst!

Asura: righteous can be called king, evil can become demon; the aura of heaven and earth transforms into Asura; this skill may be awakened by those known as Asura or who have worn Asura armor, with varying effects per person.

Come fight!

General Sun, you overpraise me; I will surely give my all.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong also heroic took from Sun Six-Ear's hand his signature weapon—the Golden Cudgel.

Effect 4: Strongest armor in the galaxy; except for Imperial armor, when facing armor in combat, it can seal all armor's weapon bonuses (in group battles it can be activated against all armor).

Effect 5: Flame Emperor Asura, undefeated in a hundred battles; when one's inner aura reaches its peak, one can ignore half of negative effects (rounding down).

Ding! Si Yan's inner aura has reached a certain peak, triggering all parts of Asura skill effect 2: strength +6+7+8, base strength 108, Asura Hellforge Halberd +1, current strength rises to 130!

The sound rolled out like thunder, shocking everyone present.

Good! Today I'll fight you to my heart's content!

Sun Wukong also wore a battle-ready expression, waving the Golden Cudgel, its shadows heavy, whipping up a gust of wind as he laughed heartily.

Ding! Detected activation of Sun Wukong's skills Equal Heaven and Battle God!

Equal Heaven: the Sage of Equal Heaven of Flowers and Fruit, on par with heaven, Sun Wukong's exclusive skill.

Effect 1: Upon activation, own strength +8.

Effect 2: When one's side is outnumbered, it can greatly boost allied morale.

Effect 3: When affected by negative skill effects, one can become immune to all negative skill effects.

Effect 4: When fighting someone whose skill contains the character 'Heaven', if their base strength exceeds yours by X, your strength increases by that same amount.

Battle God: fighting heaven and earth, defeating all heroes, laughing scornfully at gods and demons; this is the Heavenly General-Battle God exclusive heavenly skill of Sun Wukong.

Effect 1: Life endless, battle unceasing; each activation grants +6 strength, up to three times.

Effect 2: Fiery Eyes, Golden Gaze; in single combat, can see through opponent's flaws and reduce their strength by 2–5 points; in group battles, it fixedly reduces all enemies' strength by 3 points, affecting up to five people.

Effect 3: In commander duels, when continuously fighting to the second match, strength gains +2 extra; thereafter each additional battle adds +1 strength, this effect can increase strength by at most 4 points.

Effect 4: Divine Stone Monkey, shifting stars and exchanging constellations; however much negative effect one bears immunity to, one can directly inflict the same negative effect on the enemy!

Currently Sun Wukong's base strength is 108, weapon Golden Cudgel +1, Equal Heaven effect 1 activated gives +8, Battle God effect 1 activated twice gives +6+6, current strength rises to 129!

As the words fell, the two collided like shooting stars.

The Asura Hellforge Halberd and Golden Cudgel clashed violently in midair, emitting a deafening metallic ring.

Each impact seemed capable of tearing the sky apart and shaking the earth.

Si Yan's halberd technique was fiercely unstoppable, each strike carrying the scorching heat and savagery of hell.

Meanwhile, Sun Wukong's Golden Cudgel was as flexible as a spirit snake, sometimes as heavy as a mountain, sometimes as gentle as flowing water.

The two tumbled and maneuvered in the air, fighting to an indecisive stalemate.

Their figures crossed in the air, each clash brimming with a contest of power and skill.

Haha, fine halberd technique!

Sun Wukong loudly praised in the midst of the clash.

General Si's staff technique is not bad either!

Si Yan responded, wielding his halberd with even greater ferocity.

The battle entered a white-hot phase; their speed grew ever faster, their movements ever more fierce.

The spectators saw only two figures in the air flashing past each other, barely able to discern the specific movements.
