Chapter 127: Enfeoffing the Thirty-Three Heavens

~15 min read 2,948 words

Mythical Da Luo and Acting by Reduction to Seek Emptiness. Although these two paths are diametrically opposed, they lead to the same destination, both pointing toward the end of transcendence.

Mythical Da Luo emphasizes merging the Heavens and Myriad Worlds, Causality, and Fate Lines into one, becoming the unique "One."

This requires extraordinary strength and a profound understanding of the Great Dao, merging the Causality of the Heavens into one, and gathering countless Fate Lines and Causality Lines.

Once proven, it is proven forever; one is free and unfettered.

Acting by Reduction to Seek Emptiness, however, requires abandoning everything, approaching "Nothingness" through constant subtraction, and becoming "Nothingness."

This requires a profound realization of "Nothingness," as well as the courage and wisdom to lose everything.

Because you do not know on which day, while on this path, you might truly cease to exist.

When facing these two paths, the Saints will undoubtedly feel confused and hesitant.

But as the Heavenly Emperor said, choosing which path to take depends entirely on their own hearts.

Whether becoming "One" or becoming "Nothingness," both require firm conviction and unremitting pursuit.

As the Heavenly Emperor's words fell, the deep-seated desires and pursuits within the hearts of the Saints were awakened.

They knew this was the critical moment for them to pursue transcendence.

Whether they are the powerhouses who choose Mythical Da Luo or the wise ones who choose Acting by Reduction to Seek Emptiness, they will all begin their respective journeys of exploration.

In this process, they may encounter countless difficulties and challenges.

But as the Heavenly Emperor said, only by pursuing unremittingly can one finally transcend above the Great Dao.

The path of seeking the Dao has always been this way: if you do not advance, you retreat.

Compared to the present, not seeing any hope for a breakthrough in the past was truly a torment.

At least now, there are already two paths laid out before them.

They do not have to be like headless flies, bumping into things everywhere as they did before.

In fact, whether it is Empress Thick Earth or Empress Nuwa, the path they are currently walking is the path of the Heavens returning to one.

Gathering the Qi Luck Merit of the Heavens, making the Qi Luck Merit of the Heavens return to one.

At the same time, it is also the return to one of the Time and Space lines, Causality lines, and Fate lines of the Heavens.

The Heavenly Emperor stood above the Thirty-Three Heavens and continued to speak to the various Saints of the Heavenly Court.

"In My Heavenly Court's Thirty-Three Heavens, you shall each sit in command of one Heaven and enjoy the Qi Luck of one Heaven."

The Heavenly Emperor enfeoffed the various Saints, each to sit in command of one Heaven, to be the master of one Heaven, and to enjoy the Qi Luck of one Heaven.

Taiqing Laozi is the master of the Taiqing Realm Great Red Heaven, sitting in command of the Taiqing Realm Great Red Heaven.

Yuanshi Tianzun is the master of the Shangqing Realm Yu Yu Heaven, sitting in command of the Shangqing Realm Yu Yu Heaven.

Tongtian Jiaozhu is the master of the Yuqing Realm Qingwei Heaven, sitting in command of the Yuqing Realm Qingwei Heaven.

Emperor Fuxi is the master of the Taihuang Huangzeng Heaven, Earth Emperor Shennong is the master of the Taiming Yuwan Heaven, and Human Emperor Xuanyuan is the master of the Qingming Hetong Heaven, each sitting in command of one Heaven and enjoying the Qi Luck of one Heaven.

Empress Nuwa is the master of the Xuantai Pingyu Heaven, and Empress Thick Earth is the master of the Yuanming Wenju Heaven.

Jieyin Daoren is the master of the Qiyao Moyi Heaven, and Zhunti Daoren is the master of the Xuwu Yueheng Heaven.

Ancestor Minghe is the master of the Taiji Mengyi Heaven, and Great Immortal Zhenyuan is the master of the Chiming Heyang Heaven.

Today, there are a total of twelve Saints in the Heavenly Court, each sitting in command of one Heaven, suppressing the Qi Luck of one Heaven, and simultaneously enjoying the Qi Luck of one Heaven.

As for the other twenty-one Heavens, there is no one sitting in command for the time being.

In the view of the Heavenly Emperor, one must at least become a Saint to be qualified to sit in command of one Heaven.

Only after more Saints emerge in the Heavenly Court in the future will these Thirty-Three Heavens be complete.

And the Heavenly Emperor also believes that before long, more and more Saints will be born in the Heavenly Court, and the Thirty-Three Heavens will have their respective masters.

The Heavenly Emperor's voice spread throughout the entire Heavenly Court, "The remaining Heavens, once someone proves the Dao and becomes a Saint, may sit in command of one Heaven and enjoy the Qi Luck of one Heaven."

Hearing the Heavenly Emperor's words, the various peak Quasi-Sage powerhouses belonging to the Heavenly Court, such as Duobao Daoren, Yunxiao Niangniang, and others, all felt a burning sensation in their hearts.

They wished they could immediately break through to the Saint realm and become a master of one Heaven.

Although they did not know what the benefits of becoming a master of one Heaven were,

the Heavenly Emperor would absolutely not treat them unfairly.

Proving the Dao and becoming a Saint was something one simply dared not even think about at other times.

But now, in the Heavenly Court, proving the Dao and becoming a Saint is not impossible.

It is even said that other factions, for example, the people of Lingshan Buddhism, also had new ideas.

In the past, Lingshan Buddhism, under the instruction of the Western Two Sages, wanted to challenge the authority of the Heavenly Court.

After the Investiture of the Gods Great Calamity ended, the Western Two Sages had the same intention.

By striking at the authority of the Heavenly Court, they aimed to strengthen the prosperity of Fomen and make Lingshan Buddhism a Western land comparable to the Heavenly Court.

When the time came in the future, if all living beings in the world thought of Fomen instead of the Heavenly Court when they had matters, that would mean Lingshan also possessed a kind of legitimacy.

The Western Two Sages planned it this way, but unfortunately, the Heavenly Emperor appeared out of nowhere, making Lingshan dare not have the slightest movement.

Now that the Western Two Sages have both defected to the Heavenly Court, does their Western Lingshan also count as a faction belonging to the Heavenly Court?

Therefore, if they could prove the Dao and become Saints, could they also become masters of one Heaven in the Heavenly Court and enjoy the Qi Luck of one Heaven in the Heavenly Court?

At this moment, those who regretted the most were the former disciples and followers of the Chan Sect; after the Investiture ended, these disciples fled into Fomen and became a part of Western Lingshan.

Looking at it now, it would have been better to have been sent directly to the Investiture of the Gods and become a person of the Heavenly Court, wouldn't it?

During the Investiture of the Gods Great Calamity, through various operations, they finally managed to send almost all the disciples of the Jie Sect to the Investiture of the Gods.

But because of the emergence of the Heavenly Emperor, this name on the Investiture of the Gods was not a loss at all, but instead became an opportunity?

Now that the Western Two Sages have both defected to the Heavenly Court, they, the victors of the Investiture of the Gods Great Calamity, have entered Fomen.

In a strict sense, they have actually become a faction subordinate to the Heavenly Court.

The people of Lingshan are now thinking of quickly finding time to ask the Western Two Sages what they should do next.

Above the Thirty-Three Heavens, the twelve Saints each sat in command of one Heaven; they felt the blessing of that Heaven's Qi Luck, and the terror of one Heaven's Qi Luck.

Under the blessing of such Qi Luck, their deduction of the Great Dao became increasingly rapid, to the point that they had even vaguely grasped the paths of Mythical Da Luo and Acting by Reduction to Seek Emptiness.

If the Qi Luck of the Heavenly Court were divided into thirty-three portions, each of them would enjoy one, and one can imagine the terror of this.

All the Saints bowed to the Heavenly Emperor once more in heartfelt submission, saying, "We thank His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor!"

None of the Saints present had ever imagined that one day they would all join the Heavenly Court and become members of it.

They also never imagined that they could sit together harmoniously and catch a glimpse of the Great Dao above the Saints.

And this was all brought about by the Heavenly Court, brought about by the Heavenly Emperor.

The Heavenly Emperor gave the Saints a few words of instruction, saying, "You all must cultivate diligently and break through as soon as possible. In these Heavens and Myriad Worlds, there is no knowing how many powerful existences there are, nor how many powerful Worlds there are. Our Heavenly Court should set its sights upon these Heavens and Myriad Worlds; the Heavenly Court is not just the Heavenly Court of the Great Desolate World, but must be the Heavenly Court of the Heavens and Myriad Worlds."

After the Heavenly Emperor finished saying this, he turned and left directly.

As for the few Saints who had just joined the Heavenly Court, they were still somewhat bewildered.

The Heavens and Myriad Worlds?

What does His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor mean by this?

These Saints were certainly not fools; did His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor not mean that the Heavenly Court had discovered other Worlds?

Looking again at those Saints who had joined the Heavenly Court early, they showed no surprise; they had all understood.

This Heavenly Emperor had long ago discovered other Worlds and set his sights upon them, while only they knew nothing.

It is fortunate that they joined the Heavenly Court.

All the Saints held beautiful expectations.

These words of the Heavenly Emperor undoubtedly opened up a brand-new horizon for the Saints present, making them realize that the ambition of the Heavenly Court was not limited to the Great Primordial World, but was to conquer the Heavens and Myriad Worlds. Such a grand vision and ambition undoubtedly ignited the passion and motivation within their hearts.

For Jieyin Daoren and Zhunti Daoren, they began to think about how to spread Buddhism in new Worlds and serve the Heavenly Court and His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor. They understood that only by contributing to the Heavenly Court could they enjoy more blessings of Qi Luck, thereby breaking through themselves faster and peeking into higher levels of the Dao.

At the same time, other Saints were also silently planning their own futures in their hearts.

Mythical Da Luo, or Acting by Reduction to Seek Emptiness, this is a question.

As the Heavenly Emperor's sermon ended, the Saints of the Great Primordial World entered a state of seclusion one after another.

They began to ponder the two paths above the Saints mentioned by the Heavenly Emperor: "Mythical Da Luo" and "Acting by Reduction to Seek Emptiness." These

two paths undoubtedly revealed higher levels of cultivation realms to them and provided new possibilities for their future cultivation directions.

In the process of seclusion, every Saint began to plan their own future according to their own understanding and insights, placing their focus and perspective within the Heavens and Myriad Worlds as well.

And the entire Great Desolate World, under the rule of the Heavenly Court, developed toward a scene of prosperity.

Three Kingdoms World.

Zhuge Liang utilized items from the Worlds of other members of the Heavens Chat Group to engage in farming.

Zhuge Liang cleverly utilized many modern items and knowledge to carry out subversive reforms for the Great Han.

Coupled with Zhuge Liang's miraculous calculations, the national strength of the Great Han was at its zenith, especially the strength of the army, which became increasingly powerful.

Originally, under the strict orders of the Cao Wei Emperor Cao Rui, the Cao Wei army intended to quickly retake Chang'an City, which had been occupied by the Great Han.

In the eyes of Cao Wei, the Great Han had always been a formidable enemy that could not be ignored, but for a long time, the strength of Cao Wei had steadily suppressed the Great Han.

Zhuge Liang's several Northern Expeditions had, of course, achieved results at the beginning.

But as soon as the Cao Wei army reacted, they could quickly take back the Great Han's gains; all in all.

Every time Zhuge Liang launched a Northern Expedition, the final result was a depletion of the Great Han's national strength.

Originally, this time, Cao Wei was prepared to repeat the events of the past.

Chang'an, this ancient capital, was the foundation of Cao Wei and could not be lost.

However, when the Cao Wei army marched toward Chang'an in a mighty force, they were surprised to find that the Great Han before them was no longer the Great Han of the past.

The city walls were as solid as iron, arrows fell like rain, and the soldiers of the Great Han wore light armor and held powerful firearms; every attack could make the Cao Wei army pay a heavy price.

The generals of Cao Wei were shocked; they could not believe everything before their eyes.

Why was the Great Han army so powerful? Why were the weapons in their hands so advanced?

In shock and fear, the Cao Wei army began to fall into disarray; their attacks were no longer as swift, and their defenses became riddled with holes; in the end, the Cao Wei army suffered heavy casualties.

Cao Wei had already sent people to try to steal the divine weapons of the Great Han, but there were no results.

Or rather, after they stole some weapons, they found that the Great Han quickly equipped themselves with even more powerful weapons.

After launching several attacks, Cao Wei suffered heavy losses and had to retreat, reporting to Cao Rui and adopting a defensive posture.

After a year of recuperation, under the careful governance of Zhuge Liang, the Great Han army had been greatly restored and improved.

Zhuge Liang had already consumed the fruits of victory and perfectly controlled Chang'an City and the surrounding areas occupied by the Great Han.

For these lower-class commoners, as long as they were fed, they would support your rule.

Many commoners sought nothing more than survival in their lives; asking them to consider the great righteousness of the nation was actually a difficult problem.

Because they were displaced and starving themselves, how could they talk about the great righteousness of the nation?

And since Zhuge Liang promoted high-yield crops such as corn and sweet potatoes, they naturally supported the rule of the Great Han.

Of course, there was another reason: many lower-class people still had their hearts set on the Han Dynasty, and the Great Han was also Han.

In short, over the past year or so, the strength of the Great Han had greatly increased, while Cao Wei had suffered heavy losses and its strength had weakened.

Zhuge Liang did not want to wait any longer.

Zhuge Liang's gaze pierced through the mountains and rivers and landed on the current Imperial Capital of Cao Wei—Luoyang City.

The belief in reviving the Han Dynasty burned in his heart; Chang'an City was just a beginning, and Luoyang City was his ultimate goal.

"Revive the Han Dynasty, and return to the old capital."

Zhuge Liang's vow echoed in every corner of the Great Han, inspiring every soldier and commoner.

They knew that only by occupying Luoyang and destroying Cao Wei could they truly recreate the glory of the Great Han.

In 236 AD, after more than a year of careful preparation, Zhuge Liang finally decided to use troops against Cao Wei again.

He led an army of 300,000 from the Great Han, setting out from Chang'an City like a tiger descending from the mountains, heading straight for Luoyang City.

Under the command of Zhuge Liang, the army of Shu Han swept forward like a torrential flood, and wherever they arrived, no one could stop them.

They breached one city after another belonging to Cao Wei, their momentum like bamboo being split.

Although the army of Cao Wei resisted heroically, they appeared powerless in the face of Shu Han's formidable firearms and advanced tactics.

This is not the fault of the battle!

It is the collision between the old era and the new era.

Carrying a magnificent momentum, Zhuge Liang led the army of Shu Han, pushing forward all the way until they arrived directly before Luoyang City.

On the city walls, the defending troops of Cao Wei gazed at the army of Shu Han surging toward them like a tide from afar, and a sense of absurdity and despair could not help but rise in their hearts.

One year ago, Cao Wei was still at the height of its power.

To them, the offensive of Shu Han was nothing more than a tickle.

Everyone believed that it was their Great Wei that could truly unify the world and end this chaotic era of the Three Kingdoms.

Yet now, the Shu Han that was not worth worrying about in years past has actually reached the outskirts of Luoyang City today.
