Chapter 380: The Resurrection Dilemma, Lin Cai'er Finally Appears
"Why haven't you left yet?"
"Isn't there still half a day left? Hehe," Chuyu said with a smile.
"Speak plainly, don't disgust the gods. I heard Hades recognized you as his adopted son; you've learned quite a few lewd tricks," Artemis said.
Chuyu stayed behind naturally because they still wanted to reap some benefit, and moreover their arm is crippled, hoping to find a solution here.
"Master, do you think my arm can still be saved?"
"Who is your master? Your arm has already turned to ash; how could it be saved?"
"Lady Athena and Lord Apollo both said I should ask you, master, about the method of arm elementalization. Master, look: I am the high priest of Athena, senior disciple of Artemis, the one‑armed wanderer—doesn't that embarrass you?"
"First, you are not my disciple; second, the embarrassment isn't mine, and you're not my priest. However, if you want to elementalize to replace your arm, you can consult Ye Luo."
"Ye Luo? Yes, master." Chuyu recalled Ye Luo, one of the twenty fairies.
There was no need for Chuyu to go ask; Ye Luo quickly descended from the Temple.
"I heard Lord Artemis say you wish to learn the method of plant elementalization." Ye Luo, clad in a loose white robe, walked down; the spring light was dazzling, and Chuyu could not look away.
"Yes, please, fairy, teach me."
"Lord Artemis sent me, of course to teach you. In fact you already understand the principle; you're just too dull and haven't yet attained Comprehension."
"All things in the world cannot exist without the character 'life'. Since you can already perceive the energy generated by plant growth and can transform into cypress, why is it difficult to replace flesh with plants and resonate with yourself?" Ye Luo finished, raised her hand, and her arm instantly turned into a mass of vines Entangling together.
"Resonate with oneself?" Chuyu pondered for a moment and closed their eyes.
Moments later, Chuyu's arm emitted a green glow, countless vines spiraled out from the stump, and in an instant formed the shape of an arm!
"So this is an elementalized arm? It feels truly as flexible as my own arm, yet stronger than a flesh-and-blood body! If the whole body were elementalized..." Chuyu examined their new arm with delight.
"Your mortal Comprehension is decent, but I must remind you that our very existence is the Origin. Once the Origin disappears, you will cease to exist."
"Completely elementalizing the body and discarding your flesh will certainly boost your power, even extend your lifespan, but it also destroys your future possibilities."
"For beings like us fairies, born fairies, we are fixed from birth—our appearance and abilities never change. We are disease‑free and immortal, yet we can never progress further."
"Therefore cherish your Human Race opportunity; the Human Race may be a lowly class, but your future potential is the greatest."
"The Human Race was created based on the gods, so the Human Race has the greatest hope of becoming divine!"
Divine! Those two words are so powerful; Chuyu immediately asked about the method of becoming a god.
Ye Luo smiled, "It's impossible for you; your Origin has already been devoured by a god's divine power, taking one arm."
"So, stop dreaming of divinity. With your current ability, even a demigod would be beyond your reach."
Chuyu felt inevitably a bit down after hearing this. Becoming a god seemed hopeless! That was their ultimate goal. To end before even beginning? And what exactly is a demigod?
Hearing Chuyu's question, Ye Luo patted Chuyu's head, then turned and walked back into the Temple.
"Why so many questions, and all of them are basic knowledge? Go back and ask Lady Athena."
"Thank you, master, and the many fairies for your guidance; if I have time, I will return to see you." Chuyu turned and headed toward the outside of the Forest. He now understood the Forest's layout like the back of his hand.
Just as he was about to step out of the Forest and reach its edge, a scroll flew in from behind and landed before Chuyu!
He took the scroll, opened it curiously. His eyes lit up, about to give thanks, when Artemis's voice rang in his ears.
"No need to come!"
The moment he stepped out of the Forest, Apollo was already standing outside, apparently waiting for him.
Seeing Chuyu emerge, Apollo sighed, "Let's go, I really have become your charioteer."
"Seems you learned a lot from my sister. You even stayed in her Forest for a full seven days."
"Of course, all thanks to Lord Apollo's favor."
"No problem, if you can say a few flattering words about me in front of Athena, that would be even better." Apollo patted Chuyu's shoulder.
Chuyu instantly became alert, thinking this fellow wasn't trying to steal his thunder, but had designs on Athena!
"You are half‑siblings, you know. The German orthopedics warned me," Chuyu muttered, but then thought of the rumors about Zeus's virtue...
"Yes, I understand."
"Ha ha, good!" Apollo, hearing this, raised the golden sun‑chariot and continued as his driver.
With the appearance of this divine vehicle, Chuyu quickly returned to Athena's Temple. Apollo did not follow, which suited Chuyu's wishes.
Just as he arrived, he discovered that the Temple had guests today. A strangely‑looking female guard stood outside the hall waiting. Seeing Chuyu step down from Apollo's carriage, she examined him carefully.
She seemed strange because the guard wore brightly colored armor, her pale skin exposed, and at her neck were organ‑like gills.
Beside her was an oversized seahorse mount, indicating the woman belonged to a sea‑dwelling race.
Before Chuyu could speak, the guard opened, "Who are you?"
"And who are you? You even question me!" Chuyu realized the Divine Dog had not logged her, meaning she hadn't reached the goddess's rank.
"Chuyu, come in."
"Yes, esteemed Athena," Chuyu replied.
"You are Chuyu?" the woman exclaimed, blocking his path.
It seemed the woman was expressionless at first, but upon hearing Chuyu's name she grew a hint of disgust! Yet she wasn't a recorded goddess. Whatever her disdain, it was irrelevant.
"This sea nymph blocks my report. Does she want to embarrass my master?!"
The guard immediately yielded, "I wouldn't dare. My name is Hilteis!"
"A pleasure to meet you," Chuyu waved, entering the Temple.
Inside the Temple stood another towering male deity, crowned, wielding a trident, arguing with Athena. When Chuyu entered, the god fell silent, glanced at Chuyu twice.
"Chuyu has seen Lord Poseidon!" Chuyu quickly bowed; this was the Sea King, one of the top gods of Greek myth.
"Continuing this argument will lead nowhere. Let them decide themselves," Poseidon rose and left.
Still bowing, Chuyu felt a little awkward; seeing Poseidon depart, he asked, "What were you arguing about?"
Athena pouted, "He wants to steal my followers!"
"Steal followers? Who? What kind of talent is that? It's worth your quarrel!"
