Chapter 147

As the person closest to the Empress, Shangguan Wan'er was not stupid either; she instantly realized Gao Yang's goal.

She was even very familiar with this operation.

Because in Linjiang City, she had seen with her own eyes how Gao Yang had driven those grain merchants to bankruptcy.

Although this was different, it had the same effect!

It was just that the setup Gao Yang wanted to create this time was aimed at the entire Zhao Kingdom, from the emperor and nobles down to the ordinary commoners.

How many people would die this time?

Gao Yang stared at Wu Zhao and Shangguan Wan'er, the smile on his face growing richer.

This was his true domain.

It must be said, this feeling of tricking people was simply too wonderful!

The smile on Gao Yang's face was very simple and honest; he stood in the Imperial Study, looking light and breezy.

"If wealthy merchants and noble families want to make a huge profit, they must increase production capacity and recruit silk-weaving workers on a massive scale."

"If commoners can earn more by weaving silk than by farming, they will swarm to weave silk. If planting mulberry and rearing silkworms is more profitable, it will lead to more commoners turning to plant mulberry and rear silkworms."
