Chapter 152

A nation... perished!

Countless commoners went bankrupt!

The money-printing merchants made a fortune!

This is the power of a poisonous plan!

Gao Yang slowly began, "For Your Majesty to understand, I will use overseas as an example!"

"In the overseas far from Da Qian, there is a very large island where a nation lives. Let's call it the Lan Kingdom. The Lan Kingdom is extremely rich and strong, and the commoners live and work in peace and contentment!"

"One day, a group of merchants from afar came to the Lan Kingdom. Besides doing business, they also brought some flower bouquets. This flower is called the Tulip!"

"This group of merchants presented it to the royal family of the Lan Kingdom. Because the Lan Kingdom did not have this tulip, and because the tulip was beautiful and rare, it was highly sought after and gradually became a symbol of status and wealth!"

"For a time, countless local merchants smelled a business opportunity!"

Gao Yang's eyes were indifferent and extremely deep.

Even Wu Zhao smelled the chilling murderous intent hidden under the tulip from these words!

Shangguan Wan'er's heartbeat accelerated, and she couldn't help but clench her fists.

They were very nervous.

"With the action of local merchants, they began to hoard tulip bulbs, and the price began to rise significantly!"

"Soon, it was sought after by the whole country!"

"Let alone grain, even gold was far inferior to its price. At this time, everything changed. The tulip was no longer a flower for viewing, but for short-term profit!"

"For this reason, some commoners sold their houses to hoard it. In fact, at this time, everyone knew that tulips in the market were no longer rare, but people still bought them like crazy, wanting to make a profit!"

"They thought it would still rise sharply!"

"But at the highest point, those merchants who pushed up the price sold directly. Your Majesty, can you guess what happened next?"

Gao Yang had a smile on his face, but it was chilling.

Wu Zhao said seriously, "What happened?"

Gao Yang said directly: "In just over ten days, the price plummeted by ninety percent, countless people went bankrupt, and some even starved to death! These merchants then turned around and inflated grain prices, and the Lan Kingdom's economy declined, making it difficult to compete with surrounding nations!"

The words fell.

Shangguan Wan'er and Wu Zhao were both shocked.

A ninety percent drop in just over ten days!

Wu Zhao looked moved, deeply feeling the cruelty!

Is this the power of a poisonous plan?

Its destructive power is even higher than war!

Wu Zhao took a deep breath!

"Your Majesty, what did you learn from this setup?"

Gao Yang felt a secret thrill in his heart. There aren't many things that could shock Wu Zhao like this!

Wu Zhao's eyes were murderous. "The merchants from afar don't follow the rules of martial arts; they should be killed!"

"Is this principle correct?"

Gao Yang: "..."

He looked at Wu Zhao's noble face. It must be said, this angle is quite unique!

"Saying it like that is also correct!"

"The merchants from afar are indeed either treacherous or thieves, and they should be killed!"

Shangguan Wan'er couldn't help but speak up, "But what does this have to do with what was said earlier about it clearly being a scam, yet people still falling for it?"

Gao Yang smiled and said, "In the early stages, you couldn't tell it was a setup, but in the later stages, it was very obvious."

"The whole country was hoarding tulip bulbs, and all parties were entering the market. Didn't the commoners know?"

"Actually, they all knew, but they didn't hesitate to mortgage their houses and fields to enter the market. The root cause is greed. They thought it would go higher!"

"They would think that before this bubble burst, they wouldn't be the unlucky ones. This is like passing a flower to the beat of a drum; as long as you aren't the last unlucky one, you'll make a huge profit!"

"And those who can run are very few, because once they make money, it's hard to resist continuing to gamble. This is the same as the gambling dens in Changancheng. You can win once, or even many times, but if you stretch the time, the gambling den will definitely win. This is also human nature!"

"All setups in the world are nothing more than using human nature!"

"Besides these means, drawing a big pie is also a common means of setting up a layout!"

Wu Zhao was stunned.

"Drawing a big pie?"

Gao Yang coughed twice and said: "For example, if Your Majesty orders me to weaken the six kingdoms, and then gives me ten beauties, this is drawing a big pie!"

"Of course, I don't mean anything else, and Your Majesty doesn't need to specifically reward me with a few beauties and ten thousand taels of gold. I'm just explaining it to Your Majesty."

Gao Yang stared straight at Wu Zhao and said.

Wu Zhao's mouth twitched.

After all this time, Gao Yang was pointing at her.

Having ascended the throne for so long, this was the first time she had seen a minister take the initiative to ask her for a reward.

"Originally, I wanted to compensate the Vice Minister with dozens of beauties, but since the Vice Minister is so polite, then forget it."

Wu Zhao curled the corner of her mouth and said lightly.

Gao Yang was instantly incredulous.

He really wanted to jump up and give the Empress two big slaps. Listen, is this human language?

Sure enough, those who play politics are dirty, and their faces are thick.

But he was also helpless. After all, this is the Empress of Da Qian!

"In short, I have quite a few such scams!"

"If Your Majesty is short of money, I will definitely support you from behind!"
