Chapter 427

Gao Yang cleared his throat and said, "There was a poor scholar who was on his way to the capital for the exam. Because of heavy rain, he found a wealthy family to take shelter from the rain!"

"The rich lady of the wealthy family warmly entertained the poor scholar, and after discovering that the poor scholar was very talented, the two developed feelings for each other on a rainy night and entangled together."

"The next day, the rich lady wept to the poor scholar and shouted at him, 'If you pass the exam, don't let me down!'"

"And the rich lady also sent some travel expenses as the poor scholar's travel expenses for the exam. The scholar took the travel expenses, held the rich lady's hand, and swore, 'If I pass the exam, I will definitely use an eight-bearer sedan chair, marry you openly, promise you a lifetime of prosperity, this love is eternal, I will never let down the meaning of lovesickness, and grow old with you!'"

"After speaking, the scholar took the book boy and embarked on the road to the capital!"

After this, Wu Zhao and Shangguan Wan'er were moved.

Wu Zhao is an empress, but she is also a woman, and she also yearns for these romantic vows.

A poor scholar and a rich lady fell in love overnight, which is truly romantic!

She was moved.

Shangguan Wan'er couldn't help but ask, "What happened later?"

"Did the poor scholar pass the exam and marry the rich lady in an eight-bearer sedan chair?"

Gao Yang touched his nose.

Wu Zhao and Shangguan Wan'er's focus is a bit different.

But the direction of this story is really not like this.

Gao Yang looked at Wu Zhao and Shangguan Wan'er and continued to speak.

"After the scholar swore and left, the lady asked the maid to record the scholar's name in the book. The maid said helplessly, 'Miss, this is already the thirtieth scholar.'"

"The lady looked at the scholar's back as he went away and said, 'There is no way, with so many scholars, one of them will really pass.'" ===== CHAPTER 429 =====
