Chapter 615

Gao Yang's words were righteous and confident.

Wu Zhao: "..."

She stared at Gao Yang and took several deep breaths. Gao Yang was useful, and he was strong in all aspects, but he had one point: he was infuriating.

But there was no help for it; it was still the same phrase from her recruitment edict!

"For extraordinary merit, one must wait for an extraordinary person!"

For the sake of Great Qian, I will endure it!

Not to mention, she even endured Zhao Yuheng!

"I will summon the six ministries tomorrow to discuss this. I must implement the Single Whip Law and the Tax-to-Land Reform!"

Wu Zhao looked at Gao Yang, her phoenix eyes carrying a firmness.

"Your Majesty, this must wait!"

Just as Wu Zhao was full of ambition, Gao Yang interrupted her directly.

Wu Zhao said unhappily, "Why?"

"Your Majesty, actually the Green Sprouts Law is also a good policy, but because it touched upon the interests of various clans, the contradictions between the two sides began to erupt!"

"Although the Single Whip Law and the Tax-to-Land Reform are good, they will also shake the interests of these people. Please forgive me for speaking bluntly: now that the Zhao Kingdom is not yet settled, and there are vassal princes plotting mischief inside, it is not appropriate for Your Majesty to reform the laws. You must know that being too hasty can easily 'pull a muscle'!"

Wu Zhao's face turned black, and she said unhappily, "I have no 'muscle' to pull, how can I pull it?"

Gao Yang: "..."

"Then it's easy to strain..."

Seeing this, Gao Yang subconsciously looked at Wu Zhao's excellent figure under her dragon robe.

But he was met with Wu Zhao's face full of murderous intent.

He immediately said, "My meaning is that everything has its limits. There is no absolutely good policy in the world; it is just that relatively speaking, the Single Whip Law and the Tax-to-Land Reform are more suitable for our Great Qian."

"It's just that now, the timing is not yet mature!"

Wu Zhao's brows locked tightly, and she fell into thought.

Although she couldn't wait to reduce the burden on the people, what Gao Yang said also made a lot of sense. Everything has its limits; taking too large a step can easily pull a muscle or strain the chest.

And there are too many things Great Qian needs to do now, and every single one is extremely important!

In the end, it was still a matter of time!

"Then I will wait a little longer."

Wu Zhao took a deep breath and said. ===== CHAPTER 617 =====
