Chapter 745

"There was indeed an imperial guard named Chen Qiang in the palace, with his ancestral home in Qingzhou. About five or six months ago, he went missing. After this matter, the eleven people who were on duty with him were all transferred out of the palace and also went missing!"

"My Lord, is this Chen Qiang really okay?"

Upon hearing this, Li Long's expression turned solemn, and a chill suddenly shot from his tailbone to his crown.

One person going missing is normal, but then the eleven people on duty with him were all transferred out and also went missing—this was very outrageous!

"It's ruined, I seem to have been stirred into a pool of muddy water!"

"Brother Wenhe even pits his own brothers?"

Li Long was not calm at all. He got up directly and rushed to the Duke of Ding Prefecture overnight.

Empress Dowager's bedchamber.

Empress Dowager Xiao was taking a nap. She was wearing a pure black silk nightgown, covering her perfect figure, with her two long jade legs crossed and exposed.

A palace maid was carefully massaging her temples. Empress Dowager Xiao's phoenix eyes were tightly closed, and her slender fingers were slowly tapping on the bedstead beside her.

Suddenly, a palace maid hurriedly pushed open the door and stepped forward quickly.

"Empress Dowager!"

Empress Dowager Xiao opened her eyes, and when she saw the person before her.

She waved her hand and said, "Everyone leave!"

After the palace maids all left, Empress Dowager Xiao sat up straight and said with an unhappy face, "What matter is so panicked?"

The palace maid said, "Empress Dowager, something is very wrong. Imperial Guard Commander Li Long is searching the entire palace for news of Chen Qiang!"

"Now he has left the palace and gone to the Duke of Ding Prefecture!"

Once these words were out, the Empress Dowager's expression changed suddenly.

"Not good, has my secret been discovered by that Living Yama?"
