Chapter 8

"Even if the person who dug up the gold is quick-handed, they cannot hide it from the people working together."

"Once they start arguing, I will take the opportunity to look nervous and ask them to hand over the gold, even give them some silver, and ask them not to reveal the news of digging up gold from the mountain, so as not to let others come to fight for it."

"With this attitude, it won't take a few hours for the news that there is a gold mine under the barren mountain to spread throughout the village."

"With just one or two pieces of gold, the evil of human nature will be exposed without a doubt."

"These people who witnessed the gold digging, under the temptation of the gold mine, will definitely not be able to sit still, anxious like ants on a hot pot. The people who dug up the gold will even mobilize their whole families to go up the mountain secretly. This is human nature. At that time, the rumors will become more and more intense. At this time, there is no need for wages; whole families will carry hoes and go up the mountain to dig the ground overnight."

As soon as these words were spoken, the officials were shocked and looked at Gao Yang in succession.

The people are lazy; the root cause is that reclaiming wasteland is hard and tiring. Even if it is three times the wages, there is no motivation.

But if they think there is a gold mine under the barren mountain, driven by rumors, especially driven by the first person, the villagers will swarm to dig the mountain, hoping to get rich overnight.

Even after Cui Xinghe figured it out, he had to say it was brilliant.

Although this strategy still has flaws, it is definitely feasible!

Gao Feng also looked at Gao Yang in astonishment, his eyes wide open.

Is this his, Gao Feng's, son?

Has he opened his mind?

"Brilliant, using gold to draw out the greed of human nature, making the whole village go up the mountain to reclaim the wasteland."

"Later, bury gold in different places on the mountain at will, making the people firmly believe that there is a gold mine under the barren mountain. This not only saves a lot of wages for reclaiming the wasteland, but the villagers will also reclaim the wasteland overnight."

"The son of Vice Minister Gao really did not disappoint me."

"This strategy is very brilliant."

Wu Zhao said admiringly, her phoenix eyes falling on Gao Yang, filled with satisfaction.

Gao Yang laughed, "Your Majesty, wait, this setup has not ended yet."

"On the contrary, the most sinister part has just begun."

Wu Zhao was surprised when she heard this, "The most sinister part has just begun?"

The officials were also astonished. The goal of rapid reclamation was achieved, and this was just the beginning?

"In the remote and poor area, the people are lazy, and the local magistrate must not be able to get any oil and water. It is highly probable that he is a corrupt official. Before making the setup, you can completely bribe him with heavy money."

"If you have the magistrate's help, this setup will be twice as effective with half the effort."

Gao Feng's face changed, and he scolded, "Degenerate son, what are you talking about?"

But Wu Zhao waved her hand, "It doesn't matter. Don't say this is a hypothesis; even in the remote and poor areas of our Da Qian, are there few corrupt officials?"

"Gao Yang, continue, what after bribing the magistrate?"

Gao Yang smiled and said, "According to Da Qian law, the barren mountain is the tea merchant's private territory. The villagers going up the mountain to dig for gold overnight has already violated Da Qian law."

"If I were the tea merchant, I would immediately report to the government, send officials and soldiers to arrest people, and order them to hand over the gold they dug up."

"The people are prone to jealousy; most cannot bear to see others living well, so they will definitely report each other."

Wang Zhong's scalp went numb, his eyes astonished, "Not paying a penny, but letting the people reclaim the wasteland for free, and even the gold dug up has to be returned."

"This strategy is too poisonous!"

Wang Zhong looked at Gao Yang with horror.

Wu Zhao also nodded admiringly, "First bribe the magistrate, then use the evil of human nature to take back the gold previously put in. Although this strategy is slightly insidious, it completed the most efficient reclamation with the least wages."

"This is still a brilliant strategy."

Cui Xinghe's face was gloomy. He was one of the four great talents of Changancheng, the eldest son of the Cui family of the Seven Surnames and Five Wangs, and the top scholar of the dynasty. But at this moment, he was upstaged by Gao Yang.

This was unacceptable to him.

He said in a deep voice, "Bribing the magistrate is not a small amount. The villagers will at most just return the gold, but is it worth risking their heads?"

Gao Yang laughed, "Minister Cui, are there few cases of collusion between officials and merchants in the world? Who would bribe with heavy money right away? You can know if they are clean or corrupt officials by walking around among the people."

"And the viciousness of this strategy does not stop there. What if these pieces of gold are gold on the outside and copper on the inside?"
