Chapter 521: Little Brother, Where Are You??
Su Lin now wanted to take these two unprofessional cosplayers and leave, but unfortunately, his assets had not yet been fully liquidated.
This memory domain was a region he shaped within the tree's branches; had Aha not taken some of the Divine Keys, he wouldn't have needed to hide the remaining ones.
One less is one less.
For example: the iron trash can of the Celestial Mandate Church.
The pirated version of Heavenly Fire Sacred Judgment will be found only by the Celestial Chosen Ones selected by Su Lin.
"By the way, could you two please let go? Everyone's still watching."
Su Lin asked with a forced smile.
"Our relationship isn't something to be ashamed of," Huiye said with a smile. "Right, Kallen?"
Yi Leina nodded with a smile: "Exactly."
"Grandma," Delisa called out tentatively as Yi Leina passed by.
"Grandma?!" Yi Leina stopped, looked left and right, and under countless stares, tremblingly pointed her index finger at herself: "Little girl, are you calling me?"
Kleen reminded: "She's Delisa Apocryphal. I borrowed her Divine Key from a Parallel World to help."
Walter felt his anxiety ease after swallowing a calming pill: "Your genes come directly from Kallen Kaslana. You ought to call her mother."
"Delisa was the name he intended for his daughter, meaning 'Gift of the Gods.'"
A golden-haired figure hiding beside the crowd, behind the ruins of the church, seemed to make a decision and stepped out from behind: "Long time no see, old friend."
Holy shit, it's the Void's Ten Thousand Treasures—then never mind.
"Mother?" Delisa blinked, then turned to the man who looked and felt exactly like her grandfather, yet claimed he wasn't him: "So then, Grandpa really is—"
"Don't call me that," Su Lin sighed, clearly sensing someone nearby losing composure:
"Rest assured, everyone, I am not the Otto Apocryphal you know, so don't worry. Later, that Fool will send you back to your Own World."
"As thanks, he will distribute my payment."
Kleen said seriously: "That's right!"
"How do you know so much about the other Otto? And why are you so familiar with Qianya and us—as if you know everything?" Lei Dian Yeyi's eye twitched as she watched the young "Yae Sakura" affectionately touch him.
"I know everything about all Parallel Worlds, including your stories."
Su Lin clenched his fist, revealing a confident smile, and whispered: "I have surpassed all Otto Apocryphals, surpassed the Honkai, surpassed the Imaginary Number—I've done what every Otto failed to accomplish!"
Huiye suddenly blushed: "So what if we slept together? Don't bring that up in front of others, it's embarrassing!"
Su Lin's smile froze, his clenched fist tightening further.
Meng Qi: "Bro, I gotta ask—what's going on here? Did it happen?"
Meng Qi: Image
It was a snapshot taken by Su Lin before he quickly shook off the two beside him, out of others' sight.
On screen, beautiful women flanked him; behind them, the Herrscher figures blended into the background, their expressions strange—like they'd swallowed a mouthful of bitter herb extract, turning green.
Meng Qi: "How much did you all give as wedding gifts? Let's agree on a number—I'll send a Realms Ledger entry."
Ye Fan: "?"
Han Li: "?"
Especially Especially Especially Xiao Yan: "?"
Yang Jian: "Congratulations."
Li Changshou: "Should we announce it to the Three Realms to bring good fortune?"
Zhang Chulan: "Really happened?!"
Zi Jin Shen Long: "Aowu! I, the Zi Jin Shen Long, pride myself on being charming, beloved by every dragon I meet—but I've never had the charisma of this boss! Why was I born when Lord Haotian exists?! Puh—!"
Ge Xiaolun: "Dude, you've got to act more dragon-like!"
Lu Mingfei: "Liu Li Ge, have you finished your seclusion?"
Han Li: "How long was I in seclusion? Did the Time Tower malfunction?"
Especially Especially Especially Xiao Yan: "Three female group members, and you've got two of them?! Shameless old lecher, you call yourself pure love? Pathetic!"
Song Shuhang: "I don't understand, but I'm deeply shaken."
Meng Qi: "I heard you slept together for thousands of years… on the same blanket, Su Lin—"
Tony Stark: "When's the new Bible coming out? Bigamy needs legal guidance."
Su Lin: "You studied journalism, Meng Qi?"
Meng Qi: "I'm the chief editor of the News Department at the Multiverse Knowledge Group—just established."
Su Lin: "Want your wife to see that video of you singing your heart out at KTV? Huowang, pull out your phone—give him a lesson."
Li Huowang: "."
Meng Qi: "I publicly issue an apology: Regarding recent rumors in the group about Su Lin's polygamy, all were fabricated by me—"
"Ying ying ying ying ying…" Huiye looked at the group chat, her eyes curled into crescents, covering her mouth as she sobbed: "Heartless man—you've slept under the same blanket for so long, and still think I'm embarrassing you? Ying ying…"
"To be fair, it's true," Su Lin nodded, and holy light covered his mouth, silencing Yae's whimpering.
This is the underground ruin of Belobog.
Su Lin knocked out all company staff and packed away all his personal assets.
"The Interstellar Peace Corporation headquarters, right? Who am I? I'm the Star God of Hope. Three… are missing from this ruin."
Su Lin paused, then corrected himself: "Seven dolls are missing. Return them within three hours, or I'll scrape off a layer of flesh from Kriper's body."
He hung up the call he'd received from Xing Zhao Jingyuan, gazed toward the starry expanse, and clasped his hands in apology to the Earth-and-Wood God still building the wall.
"Technically, they're all my dolls. You can take back the Immortal Metal, but everything else was my material," Yi Leina said.
Su Lin, hearing the voice behind him, frowned: "You're not planning anything strange with my dolls, are you?"
"Don't worry, they'll all be treated harmlessly," Yi Leina smiled. "You don't think I like you, do you? I've seen this face enough already."
"That's good." Su Lin exhaled softly, waved his hand, and left.
Yi Leina saw Hui Liyi, in order to refresh her status, had just picked up the company's weapon and shot herself in the head.
"Why does it feel like he's pulling at you?"
Hui Liyi rubbed her head and asked, "Can you really tolerate this?"
Yi Leina: "."
"Let me tell you, with a man like this you should—don't go!" Hui Liyi was just about to launch her Master Guidance Training Program, but the students showed zero interest:
"Yi Leina-chan, hesitation leads to defeat. You don't want to see me suddenly get maxed-out affection and launch a surprise attack, do you?"
"Please demonstrate it yourself." Yi Leina retracted half her foot from the space tunnel, placed her hand over her forehead, and after a moment's hesitation asked, "Is it really that obvious?"
"Not really, but I've lived this long and cleared so many games," Hui Liyi boasted.
Yi Leina suddenly understood: "So you're an old woman."
"." Hui Liyi corrected, "I am forever exactly eighteen."
Troublesome immortal.
"To be honest…" Yi Leina sat beside her, removed her triangular hat and placed it in her storage ring, then looked up at the moon above the ruin's hollow: "If I really consider that possibility, I still feel awkward around men. But if it were a beautiful girl, I wouldn't feel so strange."
She propped her chin on her hand, watching the white snowflakes drift down from the sky; her warm breath rose, blurring the starry night.
"Then shall I seize the opportunity to win him over?"
"Wishing you a hundred years of harmony."
"Then I'll pursue you."
"Old woman, get out of the way."
"You're so hard to please, Yi Leina-chan."
Hui Liyi sighed: "Shall I just demonstrate right now? How Hui Liya Young Lady wants him to confess? I don't even know what you're worried about."
"Because I've never really felt anything toward men…" Yi Leina drifted off, her cheeks slowly reddening; she stammered, "If there's intimate contact, and he suddenly brings up that thing, wouldn't it be awkward?"
She hugged her head, recalling modern information she'd seen online, and shook it off.
"What stupid things am I saying?"
Under Hui Liyi's amused gaze, Yi Leina pulled out her wand and aimed it at the pile of "Otto T800."
Each doll was reduced to its basic materials; the immortal metal used for conduction was separately stripped away.
Finally, reshaped by magic, each bare body stood alone.
"If others found out, Mr. Fool would be verbally attacked," Hui Liyi warned.
"I don't care," Yi Leina's eyes gleamed faintly; she smiled slightly and murmured, "It's already like this anyway."
Hair like a waterfall grew out, gradually adjusting subtly based on someone's original appearance.
"Hehehe, uh, why are you still here?"
She snapped back to awareness, glanced warily at Hui Liyi pulling out her phone, and hurled all the incompletely transformed dolls into the dimensional space.
The next day.
Krieger Castle, conference reception area, Aether Front VIP lounge.
Su Lin arrived here in the guise of "Qiong," as the birth of the Star God of Hope and various events on this planet had left Belobog severely short-staffed.
"Star."
"Are you going to attack me now?"
Su Lin retracted his fingers; Hui Zai crouched with hands over his head.
"My Skyfire, don't even think about stealing gear."
"But I really want to launch one awesome attack."
Star rubbed his head, raised his eyes, and gazed at Su Lin with an innocent look: "If you become rich, don't forget me."
How did a simple trash can learn the complexities of human society?
"I'll give it to you if you win the Bunko Dream Championship," Su Lin said.
"Huh?" Star froze for a moment, chin in hand, deep in thought. "Aren't I just playing Genshin Impact?"
Su Lin's eyelid twitched; he glanced subtly at Zhongli and the others at the nearby table.
"I have no objection," Zhongli lifted his teacup, savoring the tea from Xianzhou. "I originally thought the Memory Realm would contain the Seven Heavenly Statues."
I wanted to, but it was too troublesome, so I gave up.
"Senior Su Lin, I didn't expect you really traveled back thousands of years," Song Shuhang studied Su Lin. "You don't seem to have changed."
Su Lin replied, "It was about the same as sleeping through a nap. What change? Just became a Star God."
Song Shuhang wanted to retort, but after thinking carefully, as King Dou Dou had said, according to Senior Su Lin's normal advancement speed, taking thousands of years to become a Star God was already incredibly slow.
Though for them, only a few days had passed.
"You say you don't want to work, but your body's not lying, is it?" Meng Qi raised an eyebrow. "Why not handle the Three Teachings' affairs for me from now on?"
"The Paths and philosophical concepts have been scattered. I'm not managing anything now," Su Lin sat down, crossed his legs.
The Path of Hope spread across the universe.
But walking this Path is not easy, and as Su Lin said, he no longer manages affairs—even if Path Practitioners appear, other Star Gods are the ones who glance down.
Otherwise, given the number of life forms in a universe, he'd have to keep opening and closing his eyes every day, shouting: "You passed."
By the way, where's my brother in prison?" Su Lin looked around.
Lu Mingfei entered, holding Hui Liyi's hand, removed his frost-covered fur hat, and said, "He's in the room. I asked him if he wanted to go to the Memory Realm together, but he said he had something to do, so I didn't press him."
"Is that so?"
No sooner had Su Lin spoken than the ceiling light flickered once—Fang Zheng suddenly appeared beside him, though the door had never opened.
His face bore an exaggerated, even horrifying smile: "Good evening."
The lights went out again.
My name is Fang Zheng—Fang as in "square," Zheng as in "upright."
Although everyone in the group, led by Laotou, now likes to call him Laozheng, it doesn't matter, because.
He really is in prison.
That's not entirely accurate—just that the iron gate at the back alley resembles a prison window, making him feel as if he's behind bars.
"Where the hell did I end up?"
Fang Zheng looked up at the misty sky, snowflakes drifting down and landing in the pool of blood beneath his feet, turning into blood-red ice crystals.
How did things come to this?
I merely chose to do something while a bunch of gods were busy debating high-level topics like spacetime, fate, star gods, and the danger level of fools.
For example: helping Sister Ni from the publisher collect signed copies of "The Unlocked Adventures of Snow Country"; helping Miss Fei carry goods for the bookstore; helping Fu Ge Hualous find a friend; sending letters for the Silver Mane Iron Guards; retrieving items from rift fissures.
Three days ago, Miss Agnes from the Food News treated me to lunch in thanks; I was reading the newspaper Alexei gave me on a bench when I met Old Goethe, who gifted me several jars of kvass and a bag of salmon bread, thanking me for tearing down his hotel and securing him a compensation payment.
None of that matters.
The point is, three days ago, Old Oleg dragged me to drink two glasses in Pan Yan Town, then I returned to the upper district with several miners' offerings—rock-baked cave eel, lizard meat, and mixed-vegetable broth—when Fu Ge Hualous bluntly invited me to watch an "upper-class" opera.
After the opera, in the biting cold wind, I saw a man nervously standing behind the iron fence at the back entrance of the grand theater; following the principle that it's better to avoid trouble than invite it, I went up to ask what was wrong.
He said something unclean was causing chaos in the back alley.
Then.
Fang Zheng simply climbed over the fence; the nervous man, after a brief shock, began to twist and warp.
Impulsive.
Forgot this alien ghost is different from local ones.
Fang Zheng stared at the deep, bottomless alley, littered with corpses, each "person" frozen in a bizarre, rigid smile.
Among these people, several bore a resemblance to Fang Zheng.
The Gray-White Qi is no doubt an alien world—its people are simple, warm, and hospitable; the Gray-White Qi I've gathered these days has lit many runes, and I never expected Belobog to hide such a place.
The only trouble is, I don't know how to get out, and no one's here to guide me.
"Should I ask for help in the group?"
He was just about to send a message when a twisted, elongated monstrous humanoid emerged right before him.
These monsters gradually take the form of people he's met or spoken to, randomly spawning from the alley's town; besides his own face, some resemble others—he suspects they may be victims.
This setup felt familiar; Fang Zheng had seen similar supernatural records on forums—"Pseudo-People."
These things are divided into three tiers: flawless Pseudo-People, Pseudo-People disguised as angels, and Pseudo-People disguised as victims; of course, Fang Zheng didn't know if Belobog's versions were the same.
Based on what he knew, he deduced that these things also wanted to assimilate him, and they had backlash and mental attacks.
"Fang Zheng."
The "Pseudo-Person" before him murmured his name: "Lao Di."
What the fuck?!
Who the hell could tolerate this?!
In the instant the Pseudo-Person began to form, Fang Zheng was engulfed in golden light, radiant as divine radiance.
"Your grandpa's here!"
He slammed his foot down and shot forward, not caring if he took backlash—he'd spent this time training by absorbing backlash and healing himself.
"Eat my elbow!"
Dragon and Tiger forms coiled around his elbow; Fang Zheng drove it into the Pseudo-Person's face, smashing it into the ground and carving a deep crater.
"Lao Di, don't elbow—it's hard to control remotely."
From the smoke, a familiar voice came.
"Die!"
Fang Zheng roared, plummeting from the sky, ready to use gravity's acceleration for another elbow—when he saw feathers and bronze eyes sprouting from the pile of sludge.
He was suspended midair, as those eyes all stared at him at once.
Strange.
Fang Zheng felt his perception and soul suddenly become vastly more sensitive; chants and sacred hymns flooded into his body.
A gaze descended from infinite heights; he seemed to stand in endless starlight, seeing a half-wheel vortex of light and countless magnificent symmetrical structures.
Heaven?!
"You're awake?"
The scent of flowers entered his nose; Fang Zheng blinked open his eyes, dazed, to an unfamiliar ceiling.
He felt as if he'd forgotten something vital; around him, male and female group members leaned over, watching him closely.
"The surgery was successful; everything that needed removal has been removed," Especially Especially Especially Xiao Yan said, holding out a pill. "You're fine now. You mustn't remember."
Li Huowang nodded: "Believe us—those were all fake. Fake! We'd never lie to you!"
He looked up—his body was covered in flowers; he lay atop a coffin.
"What happened?"
"Nothing happened."
Li Huowang's expression was grave: "Do you think we'd lie to you?"
Fang Zheng: "..."
Strange. Fang Zheng sat up; just as he was about to speak, he felt something itchy in his arms—soft points tapping against his skin.
He pulled up his clothes.
A human skin, wriggling like a caterpillar.
Let's sleep a little longer.
Fang Zheng smiled faintly, lay back on the coffin, and interlaced his fingers over his chest.
