Chapter 627: Say, I Will Protect Everything in Marvel
How should one describe the current situation?
Two homeless disaster refugees, dragging their children, come to seek refuge from their identical twin brothers in New York City—same father, same mother, even identical DNA?
It's like a scene straight out of escaping a cloning island.
"Sorry, uh." Su Su Tuoni stood up, glanced at the silent Stark and the white-haired Su Su Tuoni on the sofa, and raised a finger:
"I'll make you some coffee, JARVIS—take care of our guests."
He picked up the kettle and strode off with agile steps; only when the corner wall blocked his view did he slow down, rubbing his chest and exhaling.
An inexplicable strangeness.
Whenever he saw those two faces, he felt an inexplicable aversion—it made no sense, no logic.
Perhaps it was like magnets—like poles repelling each other.
"Mr. Stark."
"Yes! It's me!"
The sudden voice and finger poking him startled him—he turned to find Homura Akemi standing behind him, holding a steaming ceramic pot emitting a milky aroma.
"Shh," Homura Akemi made a hushing gesture: "Would you like some milk?"
She stood before the door of a bedroom, dimly lit, decorated with mechanical ornaments and potted plants.
"Morgan and the others just fell asleep."
Homura Akemi raised the ceramic pot, gently closed the door, and said: "A cup of warm milk before bed helps you fall asleep faster."
Morgan had just woken up, emotionally shaken; due to the unusual circumstances, the Su Su Tuoni outside had no time to care for the children.
"Thank you, but I need coffee to stay alert."
Su Su Tuoni glanced at the closed door and sighed: "Those two newcomers today…"
"Franklin is strong. Even though I can sense his pain, he keeps comforting his sister." Homura Akemi praised, cradling the pot.
"He's a very responsible older brother."
But Homura Akemi also noticed the boy would sneak off to the bathroom to cry, only emerging once he'd composed himself.
Su Su Tuoni nodded, slightly apologetic: "Thank you for looking after Morgan and them."
"I have a younger brother at home too. When my parents worked late, I often played with him—it's nothing."
Homura Akemi lowered her head, smiling shyly, and said:
"Before, I always felt I couldn't help Mr. Stark or anyone else—so at least doing something within my ability is better than nothing."
She was referring to having collected few fragments in the Holy Grail War, and not joining the Earth's counterattack against extraterrestrial forces.
"In fact," Su Su Tuoni hesitated, then led Homura Akemi to the floor-to-ceiling window: "You've done more than enough."
"War and killing are matters adults must face—children had nothing to do with them from the start."
"You don't mind if I treat you like a child, do you?"
In a sense, many in that alliance of parallel-universe Earths were actually decent people—just deceived.
The city's buildings reflected on it; from here, looking down, you could feel the city's rhythm and enjoy rare tranquility.
Su Su Tuoni noticed his own reflection in the glass looked fierce—he paused, then continued:
"If I had greater power, I'd handle everything myself, instead of dragging all of you into this."
"In a sense, what I lack might just be time—if I had more time, perhaps…"
"Perhaps…"
Su Su Tuoni suddenly fell silent. He stared blankly, his fist involuntarily clenching.
"Have you noticed?" He turned his head, gave a self-deprecating smile, and gestured at himself:
"I haven't actually done anything. I look busy, but the world's destruction or survival has little to do with me."
"God and others are the real stars of this movie, aren't they?"
"I'm just relying on others."
"I don't think so," Homura Akemi said, her eyes puzzled but her tone direct:
"Mr. Stark, you've done enough—even though you've always thought of everyone else, haven't you?"
"You're doing what you can, and trying to do better."
"If we're talking about receiving help, I'm no different from you, Mr. Stark—I'm standing here as Homura Akemi only because everyone helped me."
She placed her right hand over her chest; the resolve in her eyes shone like light, making Stark's breath catch for several seconds.
"Sorry, I've been acting strange today…"
Su Su Tuoni rubbed his forehead—he'd clearly lost composure. He'd thought he could control his emotions better.
He'd intended to comfort her, but ended up being comforted by this little girl.
A personality that's more rational than she appears—soft outside, firm within?
Su Su Tuoni felt awkward: "Could you not tell anyone what I just said?"
"Don't adults have more to think about than children?" Homura Akemi placed the ceramic pot filled with milk into Su Su Tuoni's hands and smiled:
"Coffee's bitter—add a little milk, it'll taste better."
She bowed slightly, then ran off.
'She's practically an angel.'
Su Su Tuoni suddenly felt an irrational urge to switch faiths and join the Circle God sect that Lu Mingfei had created in his group.
Even though this sect, devoted to 'the best little circle in the entire universe,' had been strongly opposed by the person herself.
Distracting himself with random thoughts, Su Su Tuoni returned to the lobby after brewing a pot of coffee.
"I never drink milk—could this universe have been born from this possible branch?" Stark spoke first:
"After all, the reincarnators in the reincarnation space all believe I'm the God of Iron."
"Oh, that's truly a sorrowful story," Tang Ni replied with a blank expression.
Although the lines were improvised, blame it on Deadpool.
"Recently in the Cycle Space, there's a 'Main God Space Investigator Team Stationed in Cycle Space,' and also a Robert Downey Jr."
Stark sipped his coffee and stared at the other: "Do you know something?"
After confirming that this group were the true 'Multiverse Devourers,' and that Main God Space and those suicide-prone Cycle Walkers were their doing, Stark's brilliant mind connected many dots.
Especially after he saw the name 'Ye Zhetian Trading Company' on Main God Space's exchange list.
"That's my stage name in the Cycle Space."
"I bought every single one of your products on the market! Spent thirty million Cycle Points!"
Stark slammed his fist on the table and roared: "Aren't you dead?!"
"I killed myself by jumping into a black hole to escape the Cycle Space—just came back for a vacation," Tang Ni sincerely thanked:
"Thank you for your patronage. Would you like to see other new models?"
This universe's Iron Man seemed unexpectedly rich.
"I've spent many years in the Cycle Space—long enough that this universe has rebooted several times," Stark softened instantly, sat back on the sofa, and rested his forehead in his hand:
"Everything you can see in the Cycle Space, everything sold on the market—Stark Industries tech—is my product."
"Monopoly?" Tang Ni was surprised: "All these years, no second Su Su Tuoni Stark came to compete with you?"
After all, the number of Cycle Walkers in this world was more numerous than cockroaches in New York's sewers.
"They're all dead," Stark fell silent for a moment, then said:
"Suicides—or I hired people to kill them during missions."
"Why?!" Tang Ni didn't understand.
"Because after I became a Cycle Walker, the history of the 616 Main Universe became distorted and reset," Stark lifted his head and coldly stared at the other:
"Whether Iron Man or anyone else in this universe, becoming a Cycle Walker is an act of altering history and reality."
"I became a Cycle Walker because my previous team had a mission requiring the recruitment of a superhero—and I couldn't resist my craving for scientific knowledge."
"Su Su Tuoni Stark is the original anchor of the First Heaven, the plague of the entire universe!"
A gentle sea breeze brushed past, waves rhythmically crashed against the rocks, carrying the salty tang of seawater and distant seagull cries.
"Strange," Nya-ko stood on the shore, holding in one hand the 'Holy Marks' collected by Constantine and others last night.
In fact, this was a product formed by a mixture of spiritual base and collective will.
When enough are gathered, they can produce a small-scale resonance with the Holy Grail.
"Did the First Heaven lose its way or go blind? Can't it even see this?"
In Nya-ko's other hand, a cage formed by tentacle roots imprisoned a fragment of the First Heaven—1.795% of its total—emitting a dark, sinister glow, allowing her to remain in this universe.
"Ahh~ You're such a true FIVE. I overestimated you."
"Nya-chan~ Your Asian boyfriend's come upstairs to find you~~~"
Deadpool's voice came from outside the barrier.
"Tch."
Nya-ko's lips twitched; she bit hard on her thumb's nail, thought for a moment, then hurled all the 'Holy Marks' into the sea.
"Wade, Constantine! Hurry up—tonight you must gather more Holy Marks!"
Nya-ko called out with a sinister smile: "Or else the First Heaven will awaken."
Boom—!
This ownerless sea of dreams began to boil; pitch-black darkness engulfed everything, flashes of light made it resemble a projection of the universe.
"Huh? Already awakened?!" Nya-ko turned her head in surprise: "Underestimated you."
Gray-white timelines began weaving and entangling in the background.
In Nya-ko's slightly surprised yet eagerly expectant gaze, she opened the tentacle-root cage.
A stronger resonance caused the entire dream realm to show signs of collapse.
"Nya-chan, he's knocking!"
"Tell him I'm in the shower!"
Nya-ko shouted impatiently.
Is the Fallen God the First Heaven of this universe?
Hahahahahaha~~~ Just kidding!
"If I didn't say that, how would you feel any sense of crisis? Hehehe."
The strand of hair atop her head began to spin; her smile grew even more exaggerated:
"But I'm not lying—Superhero Nya-ko will seal the Multiverse Devourers completely, just need a small price~"
"Since this universe is already targeted by the Multiverse Devourers, for Mr. Fool's virgin dream, for me not to be reversed,"
Let this universe sink into true samsara as the seal!
Silhouettes slowly emerged from within; inside the already-formed gray-white Tree of Time, a figure seated upon the Wang Zuo of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life lowered his gaze in surprise.
Gray-white timelines surged in, yet between the sea's surface and beneath it, there seemed to be an infinite distance separating them.
No matter how many gray-white timelines branched out, they could never breach that hair's breadth distance, forever frozen as reflected images.
Thus, the immense figure upon the Wang Zuo constructed a projection upon the Sea of Dreams.
Upon entering this universe, the massive body automatically shrank and took on a human form.
"Well done," the black-clad Su Lin nodded slightly: "First, gather those fragments."
Pfft—!
A crowbar pierced straight through the center of the black-clad Su Lin's forehead.
The black-clad Su Lin blinked in surprise and asked, "What are you doing?"
"Cosmic CQC Enhanced Version Type-II Charge!" Nyaa-subi transformed into a black-masked, tokusatsu hero impervious to impact, pressure, fire, and heat.
Then, at a speed beyond time and space, she instantly appeared before the black-clad Su Lin and viciously gripped the pry bar's rear handle, prying with all her strength.
The black-clad Su Lin's skullcap flew off.
No splattering of brain matter or blood occurred, but it seemed as if a tunnel to some unknown dimension had opened.
"Profane Hand Grenade!!!"
Nyaa-subi seized the opportunity and shoved a massive bomb inside, then slammed the skullcap back into place.
"In the immeasurable eternal eon, unable to die."
She grabbed the black-clad Su Lin, hurled him into the air, and leapt after him, pinning the target's head beneath her armpit.
"Dangerous Wrestling Combo!!!"
Boom!
Boom boom!
Concepts and space were shattered in the chain of wrestling throws and Earth throw; this projected avatar was smashed into the ocean of the Dream Realm, then
Bang—!
After spewing a colossal ten-thousand-li wave.
Beneath that sea surface, the cosmic projection underwent a cataclysmic explosion akin to the opening of heaven and earth, as incomprehensible tentacles clumsily danced amid shrieks.
Incoherent mutterings—so unimaginable that merely hearing them at first instant drove all living beings mad.
Angry roars and curses mingled within.
Nyaa-subi landed steadily, closed the miniature birdcage, and retracted it into her body.
Thus, the sea surface returned to stillness.
Soaked, she turned, pry bar slung over her shoulder, to find Deadpool and Constantine standing there, staring at her with awe and disbelief.
"I will guard all infinite universes," Nyaa-subi said flatly. "Because I am the Guardian of All Realms, Nyaa-subi!"
"I told you she's too cute to be a villain!" Deadpool slowly shook his head. "
"Keanu Reeves, you sneaky little bastard—you doubted Nyaa-chan and dragged me here to spy!"
"But I don't blame you; thanks to you, I got to see this amazing scene!"
"I bet this movie's box office will explode!"
Constantine nodded with a complex expression.
"Maybe I've been insane all along."
A moment later.
Outside a French restaurant named "Chateau Joel Robuchon."
Dressed in full regalia, Nyaa-subi was led in by a servant, gazing at the white-haired Su Lin at the head table, her lips trembling slightly.
"I'm sorry."
"What?"
Su Lin looked puzzled.
