Chapter 68: Lightning Five-Strike Whip

~6 min read 1,172 words

"Zhao Qian Sun Li... Wu." Su Lin scribbled with a ballpoint pen on a crumpled piece of paper.

At the same time, he kicked open the door of the luxury hotel's conference room.

Through information gathered by Lu Mingfei's nanny squad, he had learned in advance that tonight was a gathering of the Wu family's bloodlines, all present were insiders, and the hotel staff had all been replaced by their own people.

Even so, this hotel was originally their own property.

He ignored the hundreds of golden eyes that flickered on across the massive conference hall.

Su Lin pulled out his phone to compare, then strolled slowly toward a middle-aged man, 1.8 meters tall, slightly muscular, with a buzz cut.

"The Supreme One sent me to deliver a message," Su Lin said to the man, disregarding the hostile glares of the surrounding bloodlines. "Submit, or be destroyed."

"The Supreme One? Hmph... Hahaha."

The man laughed lightly, as if hearing something hilarious. "I thought someone had come to crash the party—turns out it's a lunatic."

With that, he gave a signal to someone behind Su Lin.

Several bloodlines moved to surround Su Lin; no matter if he was insane, they wouldn't let him leave.

With so many guests watching, the Wu family's honor was at stake—if handled poorly, this joke would circulate in the circle for a while.

The bloodlines watching from the sidelines included handsome young men, elegant women, petite girls—all ages, many related to the Wu family in some way.

Dragon bloodline granted them superior talent and longer lifespans than ordinary humans. Laws and morals constrained them, but only conditionally.

Moreover, the bloodline circle had its own unwritten rules.

Some timid bloodlines turned their heads away, unwilling to witness a bloody scene; others revealed bloodthirsty gazes.

Spirit Speech—

Su Lin closed his eyes, then opened them again. The surrounding bloodlines froze—his eyes were unlike their proud symbol, the "Golden Pupils"; they were pure white-gold, utterly emotionless.

The instant their gazes met those eyes, a sense of holiness, greatness, and supreme authority surged in their hearts.

Thud

The few who had been ready to attack collapsed instantly to the floor; only one had slightly stronger willpower, but his legs trembled violently.

Those with their backs to Su Lin didn't know what had happened—only that several Wu family bloodlines had suddenly collapsed. Someone tightened internally and shifted their steps toward the exit.

They had only come for socializing; they had no need to get involved in a bloodline battle.

But the next moment, they lost even the chance to flee.

As if a video had been fast-forwarded, one instant the guests' senses were still in the hotel's hall, the next, the crystal chandelier ceiling and the wool-carpeted floor had all turned pure white.

The bloodlines stared blankly—everything was gone. They had entered a flawless white space, and they were the only discordant color within it.

Divine Trait: Kingdom of Light

Su Lin stood at the center of the crowd, draped in a robe woven from particles of light.

The Wu family patriarch, suppressing his terror, channeled his battle lust and killing intent into motion, drew a simple ancient dagger from his waist, and slashed at Su Lin.

From both sides of the crowd, two figures surged forward—one old, one young. The elder, past eighty, wore a white training robe like an old man practicing tai chi in the park; his gaze was icy, and his speed surpassed even the middle-aged man's. In his hand, Lei Ting coalesced into a whip, cracking through the air with explosive force as it lashed toward Su Lin.

The young girl, with a ponytail, about sixteen or seventeen, still bearing childish features, her golden pupils blazing, gripped a Tang sword.

These three were not the only ones to act—but they reacted the fastest.

Rustle-rustle

Like iron chains dragging across the floor.

Before anyone could react—

Countless chains, solidified from light, pierced through every bloodline's body, whether they intended to fight or not.

"Not bad," Su Lin surveyed them coldly, addressing the several suspended before him, motionless. "You're the most talented among this group."

Su Lin smiled as he looked at the bloodlines, pierced and bound in place by light chains emerging from all directions.

Though they were the most hostile of these families, their bloodline quality was decent—including the one who hadn't collapsed when he first locked eyes with him.

To still harbor defiance against his fully suppressed divinity meant they qualified.

After testing this Divine Trait on the first bloodline family, Su Lin found it far more durable than expected—no new cracks or damage had appeared; in his perception, it remained unchanged from before.

Perhaps he'd been using too little power, Su Lin speculated.

So, when he visited later, he'd use his ultimate move to obliterate them instantly—no wasting time with slow negotiations. Eliminate first, then talk.

"Who are you?" Wu Zhongcheng's voice trembled slightly, but he forced himself to remain composed as he demanded of Su Lin.

"You're definitely not a bloodline," Wu Haoran stared fixedly at Su Lin's eyes—even though those white-gold eyes made him tremble and instinctively want to flee.

Over nearly a century, he had participated in multiple dragon-slaying battles, even alongside comrades successfully killing a revived second-generation dragon in the Himalayas—a symphony of sacrifice and courage; thirty-seven fought, fewer than half survived.

But he swore, every dragon and bloodline he'd ever encountered paled beside the pressure this man exerted— that second-generation dragon would have groveled before him.

Could he be one of the Four Dragon Kings? His family had members studying at Cassell—news of the Dragon Kings' revival and humanity's successful extermination of them was well known.

"The Supreme One sent me to deliver a message," Su Lin repeated his opening line. "Submit, or be destroyed."

"Who is this 'Supreme One'?" Wu Haoran asked, unable to believe this man was merely a messenger!

"Hei Huang Nidhogg. Well, you can think of him that way." Su Lin still didn't know what Luffy truly was—he only knew that future Luffy arrogantly called himself the Supreme One. It didn't matter. He was the power apex of this world; he did whatever he wanted.

"...."

Dead silence.

Normal. There always had to be a moment of acceptance.

【1, 2, 3...】 Su Lin silently counted, guessing how long before someone would speak first.

"Has He... returned to this world?" Wu Zhongcheng felt his tongue was about to tie itself in knots; fear forced him to expend all his strength just to hold his body still.

【17】

New record.

Su Lin said nothing, only continued to watch him.

"Which Long Wang are you?" Wu Zhongcheng urgently wanted more information.

"Me? I'm not a dragon, nor a half-blood."

Su Lin released the suppression on himself; the chains offered a measure of protection to this group of half-bloods, so there was no need to worry.

In an instant,

the music of the heavens sounded, divine might like an ocean.

The divine kingdom took shape, the God of Light descended.
