Chapter 2849: Buddha Eyes Collapse! The Vajra Umbrella Suddenly Flies Out!

When something happens, their attention will uniformly shift to the other side.

But after a series of unexpected incidents, they will adjust all their emotions at the first moment, then deal with what comes next.

Just like the situation before them now—everyone stared at this statue, basically all prepared for battle, so that if the statue triggered some mechanism the next moment, they could respond at the first instant.

Even Shen Qiong was wondering whether to retreat straight back the way they had come; if the statue released some kind of crossbow-bolt mechanism later, they might not be able to avoid it at the first instant.

But just as everyone was agonizing over this point, a crack burst open at the brow of the statue, and an umbrella shot out from inside—it was the Vajra Umbrella.

Seeing this umbrella made everyone even more nervous; it could only indicate two situations. First, since the umbrella's owner was Yang Lu, her sudden appearance now meant she had resolved all the problems and returned here.

Second, Yang Lu had truly run into danger, which caused her to throw out only this one umbrella, and since they still had not seen Yang Lu's figure, their hearts were in utter turmoil.

No need to keep guessing where Yang Lu went—whether alive or dead, the final result was that Yang Lu used some method to open the mechanism and entered the inside of the statue.

Time went back half an hour earlier—Yang Lu had just chased after it, and left words telling everyone not to follow her, afraid they would be in danger.

Meanwhile, the others had fallen into that fierce argument, naturally splitting into two factions agonizing over whether to disobey Yang Lu's order.

Looking at Yang Lu's side now, she had chased that monster all the way to the end of the cliff where the second archaeological team was located, just as the monster was about to drag A Xiang downward.
