Chapter 361: Heavenly Marriage Completed, the Spring Night is Short

~16 min read 3,195 words

Now, after Fang Longye had successfully received Tie Shan from the Nether Blood Sea, he had finally brought all three of his new brides home from their maiden families.

Thus, he naturally drove the carriage, carrying an ever-growing procession, and returned along the same path to his own Daoist temple.

As the wedding procession returned, the dowry, winding for who knows how many miles, was dazzling and eye-catching, making who knows how many guests feel envious.

Even those who knew his situation like the back of their hand could not help but feel jealous of him.

In fact, it was not just the guests who came to attend his wedding; the sheer ostentation of the journey alone attracted the attention of countless Divine Immortals—not only male cultivators, but female ones as well.

After all, while there were male cultivators who envied Fang Longye for gaining both a person and wealth, there were naturally female cultivators who envied Yang Chan and the others for being able to marry with such fanfare—of course,

it would be even better if they didn't have to share a husband with others and could find someone who treated them with single-minded devotion—hmm, besides that, there were also some high-and-mighty great powers who, upon seeing these dowries that were abnormally generous, felt a deep sense of empathy with Yang Jian—each of them determined in their hearts that they would absolutely keep a tight rein on their own sisters, daughters, nieces, grandnieces, granddaughters, and granddaughters-in-law...

They could not let some poor boy run off with them—after all, no old fogey likes to be the one whose wealth is plundered—the wedding music drew closer, and soon, the singing and dancing wedding procession had already arrived above Cangmang Mountain.

However, they did not land immediately, but instead circled continuously in the sky above Cangmang Mountain.

The entire procession was draped in red and hung with colorful decorations, like a crimson dragon winding for who knows how many miles—it was showing off and displaying the brides' dowries.

Clang—a moment later, following the sound of a bell and chime, the wedding procession circling above Cangmang Mountain finally stopped, then turned and filed into Cangmang Mountain like a long dragon entering water.

In the magnificent treasure hall, after some tidying up, the bridegroom Fang Longye and the three brides walked out—

He had changed into a festive red robe, followed by Yang Chan, Long Xuan, and Tie Shan, who were wearing phoenix crowns and rosy capes with red veils covering their heads.

Fang Longye was handsome and refined, with a smile on his lips and an extraordinary bearing, truly peerless; the three women beside him were also each a national beauty, graceful and luxurious.

The four of them each held a red silk ribbon, with a red embroidered ball in the center of the ribbons.

The guests looked at this scene, each with a strange expression; they had seen Ehuang and Nvying, but they had never seen three women marry the same husband, and the key was that there was no distinction between primary and secondary wives.

The most critical point was,

these three brides each had a background greater than the last, and even in the entire Honghuang, their status and position were ranked among the top, yet they happened to marry the same husband.

Even though a large portion of the guests present knew Fang Longye's background, they still cursed his promiscuity and peach blossom luck in their hearts—it was dusk, and the auspicious hour had arrived.

Under the witness of the attending guests, the bridegroom Fang Longye and the three brides performed the rites of the bride-welcoming, hand-washing, sharing a meal and drinking from nuptial cups, and untying ribbons and binding hair one by one, and then prepared to worship Heaven and Earth.

As transcendent Divine Immortals, they were naturally different from ordinary mortals; compared to these cumbersome rituals, worshipping Heaven and Earth was even more important.

Or rather, this set of ancient rites that used Heaven and Earth to witness the marriage was what is called a Heavenly Marriage.

Thus,

after paying respects to the guests present, Fang Longye carried Yang Chan and the others out of Longying Cave and arrived at a pre-arranged altar to stand still.

After that, he nodded to the master of ceremonies who had followed them out of Longying Cave and was standing to the side.

The one presiding over their wedding was none other than Fuyuan Xianweng from the Heavenly Court, who specialized in human marriage and matchmaking.

That is, what is commonly known in the human world as Yuelao.

"First bow to Heaven and Earth!"

Fuyuan Xianweng, acting as the wedding officiant, saw that the newlyweds were standing still and immediately called out in a loud voice.

Fang Longye and the three women, Yang Chan, heard this and immediately bowed to the firmament.

With this bow, a ray of light flashed above the nine heavens, and a divine light descended from the void, agile as a swimming dragon, and submerged into Fang Longye's crown.

"This is, an Innate Divine Dao Edict?"

In Longying Cave,

Jinchanzi, who had come to offer congratulations on behalf of the Brahma sect, was originally eating meat and drinking wine heartily, but upon sensing the aura revealed by this divine light, he could not help but be stunned.

"That's right!"

Nezha, who was huddled with him, heard Jinchanzi's words and could not help but nod, confirming: "The Master is not mistaken, it is indeed an Innate Talisman!"

He held a wine pot in his small hand and said happily: "If I'm not mistaken, this should be the gift from that Great Heavenly Venerable—"

This Third Prince had sharp eyes; he saw the traces at a glance and confirmed that this was the work of that Great Heavenly Venerable—Jinchanzi curled his lips; this Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerable was truly shameless, no less than some bald donkeys in their Brahma sect.

He was accustomed to doing such things as "porcelain-touching"—bestowing a gift while people were worshipping Heaven and Earth, making it seem as if they were worshipping him—Shituo Wang, who was at the guest banquet, saw this scene and, after confirming his conjecture with Niu Mowang, had a somewhat unpleasant expression—

This was an Innate Divine Dao Edict!

Something he could not obtain even if he begged for it, yet others obtained it without any effort, and for others, it was still an optional thing—

But he had to admit it; this is how the world is, who told them to have such a background!

"Innate Divine Dao Edict—"

Fang Longye, as the person involved, looked at a divine talisman in his sea of consciousness—woven with innate patterns, shining with bright gold, filled with mysterious sounds, countless bizarre and grotesque scenes, and the whole body permeated with mysterious Innate Dao essence.

In the dark, there was a sense,

as long as he refined this Innate Divine Dao Edict, he could transform into an Innate Divine Spirit.

Of course, there was no specific divine office, just the essence and abilities that an Innate Divine Spirit should have.

"Adding flowers to brocade—"

Fang Longye's thoughts turned, and he said to himself in his heart.

If this thing were for someone on the Divine Dao, it would be a priceless treasure, which could be called the foundation for attaining the Great Luo.

But he was not walking the 【Divine Immortal】 path, so for him, it was naturally optional.

Of course, it was not to the point of being a chicken rib.

After all, he was also cultivating the 【Divine Immortal Path】 and possessed a Divine Golden Body, so this Innate Divine Dao Edict was still of some help to him.

Fang Longye just let his mind turn and then ignored this Innate Divine Dao Edict; at this moment, he was worshipping Heaven and Earth—"Second bow!"

Fuyuan Xianweng, as an ancient Divine Immortal, naturally knew what had just happened, so he waited until Fang Longye had clearly recovered before shouting again.

Fang Longye and Yang Chan, Long Xuan, and Tie Shan, upon hearing this, continued to bow to Heaven and Earth.

This time, the Red Embroidered Ball between the four of them began to bloom with red light, illuminating the entire Cangmang Mountain territory in an instant—

Anyone who saw this red light felt emotions like happiness and joy surge in their hearts instantly.

The whole mountain was filled with a festive atmosphere—in the void, the luck of Fang Longye and the three women, Yang Chan, began to blend continuously, and wisps of auspicious light and clouds descended from the nine heavens—

The destiny and creation of the four people, with Fang Longye as the pivot, were henceforth connected, sharing both weal and woe. This was what is known as "Dual Cultivation of Joined Registers"!

Compared to ordinary husband and wife, Fang Longye and the others just had a few more people; in other respects, there was no great difference~

"Three bows!"

At the third bow, the radiance of the Red Embroidered Ball soared into the sky; in the void, sounds of dragon roars and phoenix cries rang out, and heavenly flowers and tassels fell in profusion.

Ceremonial music played grandly, and dragons and phoenixes sang in harmony~ Amidst the purple and cyan auspicious Qi, there was even a mysterious power mixed in, sprinkling upon Fang Longye and the three women, bestowing a blessing from the unknown.

"This is a joyous omen of a Heavenly Marriage! I didn't expect that the marriage of this Dragon Lord Yuanlong and the Three Holy Mothers would actually attract the blessing of Nuwa~"

Among the guests, those with keen insight saw this scene and could not help but sigh with emotion.

The so-called joyous omen of a Heavenly Marriage was the blessing that Nuwa specifically gave using the Innate Spiritual Treasure, the Red Embroidered Ball, when the first Heavenly Emperor, Di Jun, married.

The Red Embroidered Ball, this top-tier Innate Spiritual Treasure in Nuwa's hands, contains the laws of marriage and procreation, representing the destiny of marriage and fertility.

It is said that Fuyuan Xianweng was transformed from the True Spirit born of this spiritual treasure, the Red Embroidered Ball.

Back then, the Red Embroidered Ball developed intelligence, and fortunately, it received Nuwa's pity; she did not erase it but instead enlightened it, which is how the current Fuyuan Xianweng came to be.

It can be said that Nuwa is the master who governs all marriage and procreation in the Honghuang. And this blessing from Nuwa can allow the married couple to have enduring good fortune, remain immune to all evils, and ensure that their offspring possess peerless talent and extraordinary intelligence.

This kind of blessing,

although it does not increase the strength of the immortals and gods themselves much, has many incidental benefits.

"Chenxiang, Hong Hai'er~"

Fang Longye was naturally aware of these things and could not help but murmur to himself in his heart.

Now that both the Three Holy Mother of his past-life legends and the Tie Shan had become his women, would Chenxiang and Hong Hai'er still exist?

Fang Longye suddenly thought of this point.

In his past life, no matter which version of Liu Chenxiang it was, he was always overflowing with talent, comparable to his uncle Yang Jian; in just over a dozen years, he could fight back and forth with Yang Jian, although it was highly likely that Yang Jian was secretly going easy on him.

But such strength could still crush the vast majority of immortals and gods in the world.

There were even legends in his past life that Chenxiang was the previous incarnation of the Buddhist Dizang Wang Pusa.

Well, in this Honghuang, this legend could not come true; that Dizang Wang Pusa had long since taken root in the Netherworld.

But regardless, the strength and cultivation of this Chenxiang were beyond doubt~ And there was Hong Hai'er~ This Hong Hai'er shone brilliantly in Journey to the West, even burning Sun Wukong half to death, and that was the result of him cultivating for less than five hundred years.

In the end, he was even favored by the Bodhisattva Guanyin and became the Wealth-Bestowing Boy. Hmm, perhaps that woman Guanyin had been planning this for a long time.

Just like the Black Bear Spirit~ In short, the potential and combat power of this Hong Hai'er were no less than Chenxiang's.

"If these two little brats can still be born in response to the destiny and become my cheap sons, that would be great!"

Fang Longye thought to himself.

Well, there was no need to be self-deprecating.

Fang Longye changed his train of thought; even the half-human, half-god Liu Chenxiang could have such powerful talent, and he was an Innate Divine Dragon. Whether it was Yang Chan or the Tie Shan, their Bloodlines were extraordinary, so the offspring born would only be even more powerful.

Coupled with Nuwa's blessing, perhaps the offspring would have the Dharma power of a Golden Immortal upon birth, and after cultivating for just ten years or so, they would be able to stand on their own.

While he was daydreaming,

his sleeve was suddenly tugged.

"Fang Lang, the Heavenly Marriage ceremony is complete, and the guests who came to offer congratulations are still waiting for you!"

Yang Chan reminded him softly.

Fang Longye immediately came back to his senses.

Nothing was even set in stone yet! It was a bit early to think about offspring; better to talk about it later.

"I know!"

Fang Longye turned his head and smiled at Yang Chan.

"By the way, under the blessing of the Heavenly Marriage, this Red Embroidered Ball has transformed into a fine spiritual treasure. You should put it away and see who will refine and use it~"

Fang Longye pointed to the Red Embroidered Ball that he and the three women were holding together and said.

After blooming with red light, this ordinary-looking embroidered ball had actually turned into a spiritual treasure radiating mysterious Divine Light~ The Red Embroidered Ball, at a glance, was clearly a spiritual treasure for a female immortal. But there were three brides; the problem was not scarcity but inequality, so who would refine and use it was a difficult question.

Therefore, he left it entirely to Yang Chan and the other two to discuss among themselves who would refine and use this spiritual treasure~ He would not jump into that pit of fire.

In the void,

Yinglong Laozu held threads of red silk in her hand that condensed into a ball, over a foot in diameter, pink in color.

All over the Red Embroidered Ball, tassels and pearls hung down, and the rings jingled, possessing a unique radiance.

"It was worth it for me to borrow the Goddess's spiritual treasure~"

Yinglong Laozu looked at the four people, Fang Longye and the others, below, and could not help but nod with satisfaction~

This Red Embroidered Ball was no ordinary item; although it could not compare to Innate Spiritual Treasures like the Taiji Diagram, Pangu Banner, or Qiankun Creation Cauldron, it was by no means a common object.

Back when Zixiao Gong opened and the Dao was preached to three thousand powerful beings, the Dao Ancestor Hongjun divided treasures in Zixiao Gong and once manifested the image of a lotus flower, which all the Saints of the heavens sensed.

Taiqing Laozi called it the red flower, Yuanshi called it the white lotus root, Tongtian Jiaozhu called it the green lotus leaf, Nuwa called it the lotus seed pod, Jieyin Daoren called it the lotus seed, and Zhunti Daoren called it the lotus stem.

Each obtained their own Dharma, unfolding the Qiankun.

Among them, the lotus seed pod created and nurtured the red dust, forming the Red Embroidered Ball, gathering the marriages of the world, winding the threads, and fixing the roots of karma and affection.

This Red Embroidered Ball,

was the top-tier Innate Spiritual Treasure that Nuwa had nurtured from a part of the 36th-grade Creation Green Lotus after the Dao Ancestor unfolded the Dharma and she attained enlightenment.

It not only had superior attack power but also possessed boundless mysteries in the paths of marriage and karma.

By utilizing the power of this Innate Spiritual Treasure,

she not only bestowed upon the newlyweds below the same blessing that Nuwa had given in the past, but also firmly locked the marriage karma of the four newlyweds~

And this latter point was precisely her main purpose in borrowing the Red Embroidered Ball.

There was no help for it; since most men in the world are fickle, and the Dragon Clan accounts for more than seventy percent of them, she really could not feel at ease with this little fellow, Yuanlong~......

The celestial marriage having been concluded, Fang Longye, with his arms around his brides, returned to Longying Cave and escorted Yang Chan and the others to the bedchamber to rest.

Hmm, it was not yet time for the bridal chamber; he straightened his robes and cap, turned, and left the bedchamber to begin making his rounds, offering toasts to thank the guests.

Goblets were exchanged, and wine was poured as the merrymaking continued.

It was not until the moon hung high in the center of the sky,

that the clamor and excitement gradually faded away; as the guests left one by one, Fang Longye, smelling of wine, swayed as he headed toward the bedchamber.

However,

upon entering the bedchamber, he found himself in a bit of a dilemma.

With three brides, which one should he go to?

It had been agreed that there would be no distinction of seniority or status.

But at a time like this, there had to be an order! He couldn't just pull some trick like using clones—that would be too much like cuckolding himself!

Besides, it wouldn't be respectful—after thinking it over and over, Fang Longye chose Yang Chan's room. It was nothing else—though it was said there was no seniority, in reality, there was still a subtle hierarchy.

Having made up his mind, he immediately stepped into Yang Chan's room.

The maidservants outside closed the door, took red paper-cuts and pasted them onto the door, "sealing" the bridal chamber.

Afterward, they paired up, tiptoed away, and whispered and giggled to each other as they retreated, leaving the coming spring night for the two of them to enjoy alone.

At this moment, Yang Chan, in her phoenix coronet and rosy-cloud cape, sat upright on the edge of the bed, her stunningly beautiful face looking even more radiant and moving under the glow of the wedding candles.

"Fang-lang~"

Even though the two of them had already been completely intimate at Zhuogou Quan before, Yang Chan felt inexplicably shy at this moment, her cheeks flushing red.

Fang Longye laughed heartily and strode forward.

As the saying goes, the high-burning silver candles illuminate the red makeup, and the hibiscus curtains are gathered low.

Joyous and bright, spring rises in the emerald quilt, turning up red waves. Sweat melts the powder's fragrance, a sweet and beautiful situation, a unique scene indeed.
