Happy New Year! Wishing you great luck in the Year of the Dragon!

Happy New Year, everyone! I wish you all rolling wealth, good health, everything going as you wish, and great luck in the Year of the Dragon in the new year!

Of course,

I should report and summarize the past year.

Or rather, reflect~

Honestly, this is my first time writing a book, and the further I got, the harder it was to keep going; I just had this feeling of wanting to slack off (in fact, I already have, and my procrastination has become very, very severe).

This is also the reason why the latter part of this book has been falling apart; I discovered so many, many problems, but it was like being stuck in a quagmire—clear-headed yet unable to break free.

Or to put it another way,

I lost the passion I had when I first started writing.

There was also that maddening feeling of being unable to correct things and not knowing where to start correcting them, which has lingered with me constantly.

Perhaps it is because I started this book on a whim from the very beginning; I had no outlines, no detailed plots, and so on and so forth.

For one, I only had a superficial understanding of these things, and for another, since it was driven by interest at the start, I was too lazy to deal with them.

But clearly,

the further I got, the more strenuous the writing became. In short, there are many problems, and I can only leave them for the next book to see if I can solve them.

Of course,

saying all this isn't to say I'm going to rush the ending or abandon the book; I'm just explaining my situation.

Hmm, that's about it~...

Oh, right, let me explain the issue of my increasing procrastination since November, especially why it became rampant and lawless starting from the twelfth lunar month.

Besides the change in my job in November, the main reason is that my grandmother was diagnosed with cardia cancer right when this book started, and by the end of the year, it became very serious.

On the thirteenth day of the twelfth lunar month, the morning of January 23rd on the solar calendar, she left us~ After handling the elder's affairs, it was almost Chinese New Year, and I started getting busy again—social obligations, cleaning the house, a whole series of things—I was dizzy with busyness.

Because I returned home early, I also had to find time to handle the wrap-up of my work, which made me even more procrastinating.

(My supervisor and boss are truly not things, they all deserve to be hung from a lamppost! — A rage from a wage slave! PS: I'm such a coward; it's only because I write novels and my supervisor and boss don't know that I dare to curse them here. In reality, I just finished paying them New Year's greetings ) I can only say I'm sorry~ Finally, once again, I wish everyone a Happy New Year! (End of this chapter)
