Chapter 183: The Result

However, Xiao Yan was completely unaware of everything happening on the field; he had now fallen into a mysterious state.

In Xiao Yan's perception, he knew every situation inside the Pill Cauldron like the back of his hand, including the temperature of the flames and the state of the Medicinal Pill's formation; not a single iota of change could escape his perception.

Meanwhile, Yao Lao watched Xiao Yan with gratification. He had not been crushed by the heavy burden; instead, due to the immense pressure, he had entered this state that was rare to encounter. Now, Xiao Yan's Soul Power was no weaker than that of an average Grade 5 Alchemist, and refining the Medicinal Pill would be no problem.

"What a terrifying yet fortunate little fellow!" Fama also discovered Xiao Yan's situation and could not help but exclaim.

"President Fama, could you explain?"

Regarding knowledge of alchemy, Xiao Zhan could only say it was a long story. In his daily life, cultivating and handling clan affairs had exhausted his energy; how could he possibly understand these things?

"This is this little fellow's fortuitous encounter. He has entered a mysterious state, and his Soul Power has ushered in a surge. I imagine there will be no problems," Fama explained.

At the same time, there was even a trace of envy in his heart; he had only encountered such a fortuitous encounter a few times in his entire life.

"Alright, now we should go out and announce the results." Afterwards, Fama smiled. He could be said to be quite satisfied with this Alchemist Grand Meeting.

Two Grade 5 Alchemists—this year's meeting far exceeded the one from Pill King Gu He's time. Although there was a piece of rat dung stirring up trouble, the flaws did not obscure the virtues!

When Fama and the others appeared before everyone again, the Alchemist Grand Meeting had already been declared over.

And Xiao Yan had also completed the pill-retrieval step.

"The results of this Alchemist Grand Meeting will be judged based on the grade and effect of the Medicinal Pills refined by each alchemist," Fama announced.

"And this time, there are two people who have refined Grade Five Medicinal Pills."

"Therefore, the champion of this Alchemist Grand Meeting is..."

Just as Fama was about to continue, an untimely voice rang out, "I object!"

Everyone looked over; who else could it be but Yan Li?

At this moment, Yan Li knew he had failed, but he simply could not bear to see others do well.

Harboring such thoughts, Yan Li stood out and pointed at Xiao Yan, saying, "This guy clearly went over the time limit. According to the rules, his competition qualification must be canceled."

Xiao Yan's expression was not very good. If his skills were inferior to others, so be it, but for such a thing to happen now...

Yan Li's death-seeking behavior also angered Yao Lao, "Little Yanzi, it's fine. After the Alchemist Grand Meeting ends, I will go with you and finish him off."

"Not even leaving behind ashes!"

The other alchemists also looked at Xiao Yan with some pity; even Liu Ling and Xiao Gongzhu were the same. They were equally full of admiration for Xiao Yan, who was able to refine a Grade Five Medicinal Pill.

Such a genius, to actually be disqualified because of exceeding the time limit and thus lose the chance to compete for the championship, it really is...

Sigh!

"Wait!"

However, just when everyone thought this Alchemist Grand Meeting would end with the victory of that "Qiu Shan," Xiao Wu Yue walked out.

"I want to compete with him," Xiao Wu Yue looked at Xiao Yan with some excitement.

"If the quality of his Medicinal Pill surpasses mine, then the champion of this meeting is him."

Eh? Everyone was stunned. Could there really be such an honest person? Even with the championship in hand, he wanted to create twists and turns?

However, Yan Li jumped out to stir up trouble again, "No, this Yan Xiao's competition qualification must be canceled..."

"Get lost!"

Xiao Wu Yue glared over with a single look, his aura as a Dou Huang erupting.

In an instant, he sent Yan Li, who only had the strength of a Dou Ling, flying dozens of meters, crashing heavily into the wall and smashing a hole two meters in diameter.

"Noisy!" Xiao Wu Yue snorted coldly.

The entire venue fell into dead silence because of this outburst from Xiao Wu Yue.

Many people felt their mouths go dry and kept swallowing saliva, their hearts filled with shock.

"You... you've got to be kidding!" someone muttered.

At this moment, regardless of status or strength, everyone had only one thought—this is a dream!

A Grade 5 Alchemist under thirty years old was already shocking enough, but you're telling me he is also a Dou Huang powerhouse?

"Teacher?" Xiao Yan cautiously called out to Yao Lao in his mind.

The latter also understood his meaning, his voice revealing helplessness as he bubbled up: "That's right, he is indeed a Dou Huang!"

Where did such a monster emerge from in the Jia Ma Empire?

"Hiss!" Xiao Yan was greatly shocked in his heart; it was terrifyingly powerful!

Fama and the others were also quite stunned by this unexpected accident, but they quickly regained their composure. Knowing the strength of the Xiao Clan, their acceptance of this scene was clearly very high.

He coughed lightly a few times, signaling for everyone to come back to their senses. Even so, the panic remaining in their eyes could still not be hidden.

"Now, I shall announce the supplementary rules for this Alchemist Grand Meeting," Fama's voice was resonant.

Supplementary rules? Everyone was confused.

"Due to the unprecedented appearance of two individuals who refined Grade Five Medicinal Pills at this Alchemist Grand Meeting, to show our respect, we are extending the time for both alchemists by one hour!"

As soon as these words were spoken, the whole venue cheered!

The onlookers present were extremely satisfied with this.

After all, anyone could see Xiao Yan's ability and talent; for such a genius to fall at this step was truly inappropriate!

And Xiao Yan also revealed a satisfied smile; at least he still had a chance.

"To ensure the fairness of the competition results, we will invite many highly respected alchemists to evaluate the Medicinal Pills refined by everyone."

"Everyone, please wait a moment."

This decision by Fama was made on the spot. Grade 5 Alchemists were extremely rare in the Jia Ma Empire, so he took this opportunity to give many alchemists a chance to observe Grade Five Medicinal Pills.

As for that Yan Li, he was completely ignored by everyone.

Before long, a group of more than ten people, composed of Elders from the Alchemist Guild and representatives of independent alchemists, came down in a mighty procession; one could still see the irrepressible excitement on their faces.

As for the Medicinal Pills of others, they only checked them roughly before putting them down, then headed straight for the two Grade Five Medicinal Pills.

Almost half and half, both Xiao Yan and Xiao Wu Yue were surrounded by people; the alchemists, who were usually highly respected and aloof, were no different from ordinary people at this moment.

"Let this old man take a look!"

"Move aside, let me!"

A group of old men scrambled for the Medicinal Pill, their eyes turning red; Xiao Yan was actually squeezed right out, wearing a speechless expression.

As for Xiao Wu Yue, due to the strength he had just displayed, the others were a bit more polite and not as exaggerated, but they were clearly quite excited as well.

After nearly half an hour, under the expectant gazes of the crowd, all the Medicinal Pills had been inspected.

Everyone returned to the high platform to report the situation to Fama, but as he listened, the latter's brows began to furrow.

Then, under the puzzled gazes of everyone, he returned to the room on the second floor.

"Teacher, what is going on?" Xiao Yan asked, puzzled.

"Hehe," Yao Lao chuckled, "What do you think?"

Before Xiao Yan could flare up, Yao Lao began to explain:

"The Recovery Pill and the Hongyuan Pill are almost identical in grade; although your Exotic Fire surpassed that Alchemist's, he is clearly of a higher rank than you, with rich experience and skillful techniques."

"Moreover, the Recovery Pill can heal injuries, while the Hongyuan Pill can replenish Dou Qi consumption; there is not much difference in their utility."

"Overall, the Medicinal Pills refined by the two of you are about the same."

"Those old fellows are in for a hard time!"

Finally, after another period of time, Fama walked out, his voice, bolstered by Dou Qi, spreading to every corner of the square.

"Now, this old man officially announces the competition results."
