Chapter 444: All the Heroes of the World Have Fallen Into My Trap
“Forget it.”
“I never should have expected much from them.”
Gao Wen praised aloud, slashing sideways with his blade, forcing the attackers back.
Crimson wings flared, hovering high in the sky, complementing his dragon scales like armor—majestic and tyrannical.
A demon god descending from myth and legend!
In this battle, Gao Wen unleashed his full strength, fighting the crowd, and saw his own limits.
He was drenched in blood, his crimson scales looking especially ferocious; even with the dragon’s formidable defense, he bore heavy wounds.
But that was all.
The abundant earth veins of Britannias converged into streams of blue mist, rushing toward Gao Wen’s wounds, rapidly repairing his body.
In other words, as long as he stood upon the earth, Gao Wen was perpetually at his peak.
If no one inflicted grave injury upon him at the battle’s start, or disrupted his absorption of earth vein energy, he was an absolute immortal until the energy was exhausted.
“This game… must end!”
Gao Wen murmured, his aura surging violently, sweeping across the land and tearing it apart!
The great battle resumed.
The Round Table Arena—no, the entire Camelot—had become a battlefield.
Explosions, roars, earthquakes spreading hundreds of kilometers—around Camelot, it looked like the end of the world.
With earth vein energy bolstering him, Gao Wen was nearly unstoppable, while the others’ stamina steadily drained, their combat power inevitably declining.
Quickly.
The tide of battle began tilting toward Gao Wen.
Luffy’s Five-Stage assault was slashed aside by Gao Wen’s blade; he struggled to rise, then immediately exited Five-Stage form—his skin sagged like a centenarian’s, utterly drained of strength.
And this time, no man with the world’s fastest speed would bring him food.
“I won’t let you take another step!”
Kidd desperately blocked before Luffy, his face fierce but his feet unmoved.
If he had chosen to board Luffy’s ship, he could not watch his captain die here!
He had once been a crime lord of the South Blue, and as a man—especially one with a crime lord’s background—promises and loyalty were instincts carved into his blood and bone.
“Good eyes.”
Gao Wen praised.
He stepped past Kidd and charged toward the stronger opponent farther away.
Kidd’s breath caught—he felt all pressure vanish from his body in an instant.
Only then did he realize his back was soaked in sweat, yet a nameless shame rose within him.
That man had never once looked at him directly…
Kidd lowered his head, staring at his hands, eyes filled with bloodshot veins—he wanted to prove himself—when Luffy’s weak voice came from behind:
“Meat!”
“Give me meat!”
Kidd froze, his clenched hands slowly relaxing.
I…
Have something more important to do!
…
The great battle continued.
With Luffy and Kidd out of the fight, the fragile balance shattered, and the battle collapsed at an unimaginable speed.
Sanji’s full-power God Wind Leg was casually caught by Gao Wen, who then slammed Sanji’s upper body into the earth.
Baratie launched a medium-sized bullet coated in Conqueror’s and Ultimate Armament Haki to clash with Gao Wen—but Gao Wen saw through his intent and dismembered him on the spot with a compressed beam of Crimson Earth, Crimson Star.
Baratie’s true body was blasted over ten kilometers away!
The S-Dragon, already missing an arm, had his wings torn off by Gao Wen’s brute force—yet he still roared:
“I!”
“Will kill you!”
Boom—!
Gao Wen reversed his fist and smashed him straight into the ground; the entire battlefield fell silent.
Now, only three figures remained standing besides Gao Wen.
Gao Wen flared his wings, hovering in the sky, backlit by the sun, gazing down upon the three, his aura exploding violently!
Goo—!
Crimson Conqueror’s Haki surged like a tide, staining the sky above Camelot red, while the earth below sank into a hemispherical depression!
Facing Gao Wen now at full power, his invincibility written plainly on his face, even the three below felt despair.
“The gap…”
“Is too great!”
Rydfield staggered, barely steadying himself with his staff-sword.
As he looked up at Gao Wen standing high above, his eyes burned with resentment:
“Have I reached my limit?!”
“Can’t even make that monster truly enjoy himself?!”
Rydfield let out a bitter laugh, glancing around—he realized everyone else was in nearly the same state.
Though the battle had lasted only minutes, Gao Wen’s power had been overwhelming.
Near-immortal vitality, perpetually peak condition, Conqueror’s Haki growing stronger with each clash—all combined into the Lion King who looked down upon them like a god.
“How disgraceful!”
“The gap is widening!”
Even Mihawk felt despair now.
He had thought that after two years of effort, his swordsmanship had advanced, reaching Gao Wen’s former level—his physique and aura far surpassing his past self.
Even if he couldn’t defeat Gao Wen, he shouldn’t lose in such a humiliating manner!
But…
Mihawk looked up—even though Gao Wen merely stood there, he felt it was an insurmountable peak crushing down upon him!
“What an utterly despairing man!”
“Tch, can’t even make that monster enjoy himself?!”
Kaido casually tossed aside his spiked club, his aura growing fiercer, his dragon-like body becoming more monstrous, his features more bestial.
How could he accept defeat now?!
But in the next instant, the immense Conqueror’s Haki he’d felt during his battle with Moria pressed upon him again—weighty as mountains!
Boom—!
The ground beneath Kaido instantly sank, ripples spreading outward.
Even Kaido’s mighty physique felt a metallic taste in his mouth, and heard his bones creaking under unbearable pressure!
“What the hell?!”
Kaido roared, muscles bulging, trying to break free—only to receive a slash aimed at him.
Hss—!
Blood gushed—this slash nearly split Kaido open from chest to gut.
Kaido’s pride, his body, shattered against the Obisadai without even ruffling the water.
“Gao Wen!”
Kaido let out a furious roar, collapsing backward—incapable of fighting further.
Gao Wen pressed his blade against Kaido’s neck, scanning the surroundings.
Luffy sat slumped to the side, his appearance returned to normal, but utterly weak—his stamina not yet recovered.
The S-Dragon struggled out of the earth pile, snarling and lunging at Gao Wen—but took only one step before collapsing, full of resentment.
Mihawk and Rydfield stood with swords in hand, but had no strength left to fight.
The outcome of this battle was now sealed.
Gao Wen was already weary, yet his killing intent surged:
“Submit… or die!”
Gao Wen’s cold voice reached the three, and all who watched this battle!
Every face turned pale.
“Submit or die?!”
“How tyrannical!”
“Is this what the knight Gao Wen truly wanted?!”
“He never came here to claim the title of strongest! He rose atop Whitebeard’s shoulders—why bother with this charade?!”
“We… we all underestimated him!”
