Chapter 1321

"I apologize, but this concerns a crisis involving your former legion—I hope the General will grant us an audience. My prince has something of great importance to ask of Master Lin Cheng." Tiequan bowed in plea.

Ji Xia narrowed her eyes coldly. What had she just heard?

A crisis involving the Eternal Night Legion? She could not possibly ignore it. Officially, she had retired—but in truth, she was still one of the Eternal Night Legion's members! And a vital one at that!

"Rongrong, come over and take my place."

"Yes, Sister Ji."

A server named Rongrong immediately stepped forward to replace Ji Xia's duties.

"As for you three! Follow me!" Ji Xia led the three straight into the shop, passing through the display area, then the personalized customization and inscription zone, finally arriving at the Spirit Weapon display area.

"These..."

Tiequan, Menghu, and Zhongjian were all formidable experts; naturally, they sensed the intense pressure emanating from this final zone—the weapons' qi had formed a special field, and merely standing here exerted considerable oppression.

As far as the eye could see, every kind of weapon was on display: single-handed battle axes, double-handed battle axes, small crossbows and short swords, large greatswords and broadswords, plus strange weapons—teaching rulers, pipas, spherical hook-sickles, and even an exceptionally precious Phoenix Robe of Jade.

It seemed there was no weapon they could not imagine that wasn't displayed here.

Ji Xia gave no answer to their questions, only glancing at them dismissively.

"Lin Cheng, someone's here for you."

"What the hell? Who is it? Don't you know I'm busy?" Lin Cheng's impatient voice rang out from the inner room.

"Who? Who the fuck wants me? Don't you know I'm busy?" Lin Cheng shouted at Ji Xia, then tossed the sniper rifle into the air.

The sniper rifle floated as if possessed, gliding to the side of the hook-sickle and hovering against the wall; the hook-sickle trembled slightly, as if communicating something.

Glancing to the side, Lin Cheng saw Hua Mulan's greatsword and short sword, Kai's Blade of Annihilation, and the weapons of the Bai Li brothers—only Su Lie was missing, and the Great Wall Defenders would be complete.

"You're..." Lin Cheng finally noticed the three behind Ji Xia—he had a vague memory of them, but couldn't recall their names.

"Master Lin Cheng, have you forgotten us? That day on the ship's arena, we all lost to you." Tiequan grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his head.

Lin Cheng suddenly understood.

"Oh, it's you guys. Here to buy weapons? Try personalized customization."

"How much for that one?" Zhongjian didn't hesitate—he pointed directly at Ji Xia's greatsword. Instantly, Zhongjian felt as if pinned by a gaze; a faint but oppressive pressure pressed upon him.

"I'm sorry, this set already has an owner. You may look at others." Lin Cheng glanced at Ji Xia—her gaze had already begun to subtly turn hostile toward Zhongjian.

That weapon had been forged by Lin Cheng for her personally—how could anyone else dare lay hands on it?

"Alright." Zhongjian sighed, turning to other greatswords, soon fixing his eyes on a broad, thick blade.

"What about that one?"

Following Zhongjian's gaze, Lin Cheng recognized it as Li Xin's sword.

"Try it."

With a flick of his right hand, the greatsword representing Li Xin's legacy floated directly toward Zhongjian.

It halted midair before him, hovering. He reached out to grasp the hilt.

"Wait." Lin Cheng suddenly shouted.

"What's wrong?"

Zhongjian turned to look—Lin Cheng was grinning at him.

"Friendly warning: watch out for being blasted away."

Zhongjian scoffed, gripping the hilt firmly.

Instantly, an unfamiliar force surged into his body through his palm. Zhongjian's spirit reeled—he tried to block it, but his strength had no effect.

An invisible aura erupted from Zhongjian, sweeping outward. Tiequan and Menghu instantly raised their arms to shield themselves, yet still couldn't stop being pushed back a full meter.

Their eyes widened in astonishment—they couldn't believe Zhongjian had changed so drastically in an instant.

Zhongjian's own consciousness seemed pulled into a strange space.

"Not king, yet not marquis; a thousand chariots, ten thousand riders ride northward toward Beimang!"

See your resolve!

As Zhongjian wondered where he was, a blade of qi suddenly slashed toward him—his body's hairs stood on end, overwhelming danger surged.

In an instant, without sensation, his vision brightened again—he was back in the present. The greatsword in his hand had slipped away, slowly floating back to its original position.

He reached again for the hilt—but before his palm touched it, a repelling force erupted from the blade.

Zhongjian's eyes widened again—the familiar, lethal danger surged. He yanked his hand back instantly; the repelling force vanished at once.

In that fleeting moment, Zhongjian broke into a cold sweat on his forehead and back. He quickly scanned the surroundings—no one else seemed to have noticed.

Lin Cheng's face was expressionless. Tiequan and Menghu looked utterly bewildered, as if Zhongjian had just put on a show.

"Master Lin Cheng, what about Zhongjian—" Tiequan frowned, looking at Lin Cheng.
