Chapter 385

"…'This really makes me look forward to it, person from another world!"

"Dark Burst Flame Array!"

Although the time was very short, the attack was already right before his eyes,

But as the progenitor of the Black Mage, Zeref was naturally no simple character.

His right fist clenched tight, a black flame rose from his right hand; the moment the terrifying black flame appeared, its temperature was so high that even space itself twisted!

Although he sought death, that did not mean Zeref would give up resistance and let Lin Cheng's attack land freely.

Setting aside Lin Cheng's strength, Zeref was clear that if he could not exhaust the power within his body, even if Zeref gave up resistance, his body would still be controlled by the power of the curse to block on its own.

To obtain complete release, the only way was to exhaust the power within his body.

In other words, if he wanted to die, if he wanted release, there was only one possibility — to die in battle!

This was the answer Zeref had obtained over four hundred years, through attempt after attempt. (Got it)

The dark flames erupted, and in an instant they shattered Lin Cheng's white slash with a single strike!

Boom boom——!!

Power erupted; a terrifying blast wave surged forth in an instant, directly kicking up a great amount of smoke.

Not waiting for the smoke to disperse on its own, Zeref waved his right hand, and several more black flames surged forth from his hand.

With the swing of his fist, black flames launched one after another, triggering wave after wave of terrifying explosions across the entire battlefield.

The shockwaves and tremors produced by the explosions, the boiling blast sweeping out, could be felt extremely clearly even tens of thousands of meters away.

However, just as Zeref kept launching attacks, several hundred meters behind him, a figure suddenly flickered into being behind him along with a dazzling white flash!

And that figure was none other than Lin Cheng himself!

At the same time, Lin Cheng's voice, like a dragon's roar, resounded through heaven and earth!

"Armed Draw Slash!"
