Chapter 81

Crawford and Zikrein looked at Teach with blank, confused expressions.

As Teach continued his popular-science explanation, brand-new worldviews kept taking shape.

Still, the explanation can stop about here; leaving one thread for the imagination to follow is enough.

What specific forces will appear later can only be explained in detail after Lin Cheng draws which faction's figurines, and then uses the other figurines to elaborate.

In the end, Chairman Crawford did not directly agree to Teach's request to replace the already-dead Joseph as the sixth of the Ten Holy Great Magisters; Lin Cheng, for his part, didn't care either—take it slow.

After letting Teach's illusion take its leave, Lin Cheng went straight to bed.

"Chairman, my lord."

Looking at Chairman Crawford, who was sunk in thought and silent, Zikrein gave a faint smile and said, "What do you make of what Mr. Teach just said?"

"Oh?"

"Councilman Zikrein."

Chairman Crawford looked at the faintly smiling Zikrein, then smiled as if in thought and said, "What is your considered opinion?"

As Chairman of the Fapingyi Society, Chairman Crawford was hardly on his first day dealing with Zikrein.

Normally, in order to safeguard the authority on his own side, Zikrein would frequently interact with Chairman Crawford; over time, Crawford naturally came to think he understood Zikrein.

He knew Zikrein must have some ideas of his own at this moment.

Of course, Zikrein did indeed have ideas of his own at this moment.

"Given the terrifying strength Mr. Ace actually displayed earlier—"

"This subordinate takes Mr. Teach's earlier remarks half on faith, and keeps the other half as conjecture."

"But regardless, Chairman, my lord, our Fapingyi Society's face has indeed been lost a little."

Zikrein said with a light smile, "We need to find an opportunity to awe everyone."

"Whether the forces out in the open or the ones in the shadows—all of them must be awed, with an absolute bearing."
