Chapter 129
Franky ran off in a flash.
Sima Di shut the door and looked at the two white rabbits on the bed.
"Oh? Where's the five-person bed?" Robin smiled. "I wonder who Sima's next target is? Nami?"
In contrast to Robin's calmness, Vivi was somewhat displeased.
After all, she'd already shared Sima Di with Robin—if anyone else came along...
"No target yet, but it's better to be prepared. The five-person bed is convenient for maneuvering." Sima Di chuckled. "Compared to those... time is tight, let's hurry, my darlings!"
By the time Sima Di finished his work on the Merry, three more days had passed.
"Hey! I still have some materials left..."
"Can't hear! Can't hear! A turtle reciting sutras!"
Sima Di flew straight up and fled—don't bother me with materials you can buy with money!
In the air,
Sima Di unexpectedly spotted a familiar dog-headed warship docked at the Port of Water Seven—it seemed to be...
Admiral Karp's flagship?
"Oh? So you've finally arrived?"
Sima Di flew toward the house where the Straw Hat Pirates were staying; it was already surrounded by a large force of Marines, and loud rumbling noises came from inside.
Already fighting?
Sima Di rushed into the house and saw Kuroshio and Karp trading blows.
Pure fist-to-fist, flesh-to-flesh, hardcore brawling!
Two old men, with a combined age over 150, were putting on a passionate scene worthy of young men!
Yet despite this fierce duel, not a single splinter of the fragile wooden floor beneath them was disturbed.
Clearly, both men held back perfectly—they weren't fighting at full strength.
Sima Di edged toward Usopp and asked, "What's going on?"
"I don't know either," Usopp scratched his head. "The Marines didn't even use the door—they smashed through the wall and started fighting Kuroshio. They've been at it for over half an hour and still aren't done."
Are they really this strong?
Could One Piece really be a "senior passionate anime"?
As they spoke,
Karp and Kuroshio suddenly broke apart, then both burst into laughter.
"Karp, you're getting old!" Kuroshio chuckled.
"Hahaha—you're no better, Devil Doctor! Your punches are as weak as cotton!" Karp shot back.
The two clearly knew each other well, teasing each other.
Kuroshio was about to say more, but Karp waved him off.
"Let me handle some family business first."
With that,
Karp walked toward Luffy, who was unusually hiding in the corner, and punched him straight through the floor!
"You damn grandson! I turn my back for one second and you go out to sea as a pirate!" Karp roared.
This froze Kuroshio in place—he was ready to intervene!
What the hell?
Damn grandson?
So...
"Huh? Luffy's grandfather is Admiral Karp?" Nami exclaimed.
"The grandson of the Marine Hero became a pirate?" Usopp also found it unbelievable.
The others reacted similarly, their faces filled with shock.
In contrast to their astonishment, Kuroshio wore an expression of sudden understanding.
"No wonder this kid's recklessness looks so familiar—it's clearly your doing, Karp!" Kuroshio smacked his palm.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Breaking through walls instead of using doors—this recklessness matched Luffy perfectly.
"G-Grandpa!" Luffy clutched the big bump on his head. "Becoming Pirate King is my dream!"
"Does this honor my teachings?" Karp demanded.
"Teachings?" Luffy grinned. "You mean throwing me into the jungle, tying me to a balloon and launching me into the sky, or tossing me off a cliff?"
Everyone: _●)_●)
Uh...
They now understood why Luffy's vitality was so incredibly resilient.
"Being Karp's grandson and still staying alive? That's no small feat," Kuroshio sighed.
Suddenly!
"Stop!"
"Catch him!"
"One Sword Style???????
Outside, commotion erupted—Sanji had returned, unaware of the situation, trying to "rescue" them.
Luffy forgot about Karp and rushed out immediately.
"Everyone! Don't fight! Someone will die!" Luffy shouted.
That said......
Sima Di looked toward Xiang Kapu, his eyes brimming with eagerness to try!
Although Kapu was only a Vice Admiral, he had once refused the position of Fleet Admiral, and his physical combat strength was unquestionably at the Fleet Admiral level.
He was the perfect target to test his own combat power!
Kapu also noticed Sima Di's gaze and grew interested.
"Oh? Demon Slayer, is it? You seem to want to have a go with this old man?"
"I do have that thought!" Sima Di stepped forward and said, "I've never been very sure of my own strength. After a fight with you, I'll have a much clearer picture of where I stand."
"Di!"
"Sima!"
"That's the Marine Hero Vice Admiral!"
The others hurried to stop him, afraid Sima Di might do something reckless.
Crocus, however, nodded and said, "Kapu is a decent test subject. Young Di shouldn't end up accidentally beaten to death."
Clearly, Crocus didn't think Sima Di could defeat Kapu either.
But Kapu just kept picking his nose, showing no intention of making a move.
"Why would this old man want to fight you? No fight."
What a mood-swinging old man.
But since he was Luffy's grandfather, Sima Di couldn't just charge in and attack.
He took out a small pouch and tossed it to Kapu.
"This is the payment for asking you to make a move."
"What's this thing? Trying to bribe this old man?"
Kapu reached into the pouch, curious to see how Sima Di planned to move him.
But he found his palm grasping at empty air—nothing was inside the pouch.
That's not right!
Kapu stared in astonishment as his entire arm plunged into a pouch the size of a palm, yet still couldn't feel the bottom.
This little gadget is rather interesting!
"This pouch has roughly ten cubic meters of space and can be used to store things, including living creatures. Just watch out for oxygen flowing in through the opening. How about using it to hire you for a bout?" Sima Di explained.
"Mmph—give me two more, and I'll limber up with you!" Kapu raised the price on the spot.
Such a fun little gadget—of course he'd want a few more.
