Chapter 433

~7 min read 1,312 words

"Maybe there was supposed to be blood-stained bamboo arrows here!"

"This is terrifying!"

"I want to go back!"

A series of井characters exploded one after another on Sima Di's forehead.

"You three have had enough! Get off me right now!"

All three, overcome by fear, clung to Sima Di at once—Nami's hand was smeared directly across his face.

"I might not be killed by Heitaona Gang, but I'll be smothered to death by you first!"

The three bowed deeply in apology.

"Sorry…"

"In any case, let Mei Li go back to deliver a message," Sima Di said. "Tell them to come here quickly and pick us up."

The three nodded eagerly.

Sima Di looked up and shouted: "Mei Li! Did you hear that? Mei Li?"

But no matter how Sima Di called, Mei Li gave no response.

"This is bad… Mei Li's not showing up in the modeling field either. Looks like she got swept away somewhere else…" Sima Di frowned.

"What do we do now?" Usopp asked.

"Use A Yin! Let A Yin take us back!" Chopper said. "It's been so long since I've seen A Yin."

"090 Right! We still have A Yin! Sima Di, pull it out quick~" Nami nodded happily, then reached out her hand.

Usopp and Chopper also reached out, staring at Sima Di with hopeful eyes.

Sima Di suddenly felt their expressions were no different from Doraemon's waiting for Doraemon to pull out a gadget.

Though it might disrupt the rhythm, there was no other choice.

But just as he was about to pull A Yin from his pocket, Sima Di caught a flicker in his peripheral vision—and the modeling field showed an insect.

Sima Di instinctively turned his gaze—and froze, then slowly stepped backward.

The three noticed Sima Di's stare, followed it, and saw a cockroach.

Usopp suddenly remembered how Sima Di had scared him before, and mischief sparked—he reached out and pinched the cockroach.

"Hey, Usopp… what are you doing?" Sima Di's voice began to tremble slightly. "I'm warning you, Usopp—don't bring that thing anywhere near me… get away, get away!"

Usopp grinned wickedly as he edged closer. "Eh? Isn't Sima Di the one who isn't afraid of skeletons or zombies? Why are you scared of this tiny cockroach?"

"Yaaaaa~~~~!"

A male's scream echoed through the haunted three-masted ship.

Sima Di was startled by Usopp's sudden approach—while Usopp was startled by Sima Di's overreaction.

Usopp's hand slipped, and the cockroach flew off—landing squarely on Sima Di's face.

Amid an even more horrific scream, Sima Di fainted in glory.

Nami gripped Usopp's neck tightly.

"You idiot! What are we going to do without Sima Di? How are we going to get out of this hellhole!"

"Before that, we should take the cockroach off Sima Di's face," Chopper suggested.

"I'm not touching it! Usopp—you go get it off! That thing is disgusting!" Nami ordered.

"Alright…" Usopp replied dejectedly.

He swore he never imagined the ever-calm Sima Di would be this terrified of a cockroach.

And in ten minutes, Usopp would regret even more his decision to scare Sima Di with the cockroach.

Usopp and Nami ran ahead, while Chopper, in human form, carried the unconscious Sima Di behind them.

After enduring the relentless pursuit of the three-headed dog… or rather, a two-headed dog plus a fox, the three were utterly exhausted.

But something even more draining lay ahead.

They had thought they'd boarded a life-saving carriage—only to realize it was a death trap.

After getting off the carriage, they discovered they'd been abandoned midway.

"No one's here! We've been dumped right in the center of a graveyard!" Usopp shouted.

"The horse is gone too! We can't leave like this!" Nami shouted.

"Ah! Sima Di in the carriage is gone too! What happened!" Chopper screamed in terror.

"Hey… have any of you heard a strange sound?" Usopp said.

"Strange sound? You mean… zombies?" Nami pointed behind Usopp, where a half-emerged zombie's head loomed.

"Nami! Usopp! They're everywhere!" Chopper screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Aaaaaa~~~!"

Meanwhile, Mei Li.

Mei Li sat alone on her little boat, surrounded by thick fog, unable to tell which way was which.

Mei Li sobbed.

"Wahhh… Dad, Dad, Dad—they're gone, and I can't find the way home… wahhh, what do I do…"

"Hey! Over there!"

A deep male voice rang out.

Mei Li sniffled and turned—barely making out a ship in the distance, with a figure standing on it.

Mei Li's eyes lit up—could it be one of the dads coming to rescue her? As she thought this, Mini Mei Li immediately turned around, slowly advancing under steam.

"Dad! Is that you?" Mei Li waved enthusiastically.

But beyond the fog, only silence remained.

"Not Dad? Then who are you?"

The Mini Merry suddenly stopped; Merry looked at that direction in terror, too afraid to approach.

If the other party were human, it would be fine, but what if they weren't... what if they were a ghost!

Merry began to indulge in wild speculation.

The stories Dad and Dad had told him about midnight buses, mountain village ghost tales, terrifying schools, and so on all came flooding out at once.

Suddenly, the figure in the distance moved.

With a single leap, he easily cleared a distance of seven or eight meters and landed on the Mini Merry.

Merry was startled, turned around, and merged into the hull, daring not to reveal herself.

"Truly strange... I clearly just saw someone on this ship... Could it be another eerie incident? Honestly, nothing good has happened since we entered this domain."

Hearing the person on the ship speak, Merry curiously peeked out her eyes to see what the other party looked like.

Not looking would have been fine, but one look gave her a fright.

This guy... isn't he the pirate who has been stuck on Dad and Dad's room all along?

Luffy suddenly felt a gaze behind him, turned around sharply, and locked eyes with Merry, who had just peeked out.

A bead of cold sweat fell from Luffy; he frowned and shouted, "Come out!"

Frightened by that shout, Merry hid back inside the hull.

"I know who you are! You were sent by that Perona fellow, right! Tell your master I will definitely get my shadow back. No matter what, I will not leave here!" Luffy's expression was terrifyingly serious.

"Perona... I, I don't know who that is." Merry poked her head out, and as soon as she finished speaking, she immediately shrank back.

136 The vase is speaking!

"You... don't know?" Luffy was slightly puzzled, and only then did he seriously examine this ship.

Since a moment ago, he had felt this ship was very familiar, but he couldn't recall where he had seen it.

"You... you are Trafalgar Law, right? I know you." Summoning courage from who knows where, Merry revealed a sheep's head at the bow.

This scene looked especially eerie in Luffy's eyes.

A second sheep head was superimposed atop the first sheep head. Moreover, the direction was completely opposite.

Luffy suddenly remembered a certain tribal totem he had seen before... if another sheep head were superimposed on top, it would be ninety percent similar.

"You... know me?" Luffy frowned slightly. "Aren't you a zombie? Did you come from outside?"

Seeing this sheep-headed creature with a loli voice, Luffy instinctively assumed it was some animal zombie under Moria's command.

"How rude. I am certainly not a zombie! I am a Ship Spirit, a Ship Spirit!" Merry suddenly darted out halfway, patting the bow of the Mini Merry incessantly with her small hands. "Please don't lump me together with those dull zombies who just hop around in Qing dynasty clothes, okay?"

At this moment, Merry still thought the zombies Luffy mentioned were the kind Sima Di had told him about, and had not realized they were zombies of the undead variety.
