Chapter 298: Sun Wukong
"That's right, in three days. I came over specifically to invite you to the wedding—it's being held at Baozi Mountain."
"Good thing you've come back too, Jiang Hao—it's perfect, otherwise you might've missed my wedding."
"Have you eaten? If not, sit down and join us. We've got plenty of ingredients—if there's not enough, I'll cook more." Jiang Hao smiled.
Jiang Hao was also surprised—he hadn't expected to run into Sun Wukong's wedding so soon after returning.
This was truly unexpected, given that his memory of Sun Wukong still pictured a brat no taller than one meter twenty-three.
Who would've thought that after so little time apart, Sun Wukong had grown into an adult and was about to get married?
Of course, this had to do with the Saiyan race's unique physiology.
As a warrior race, Saiyans age much slower than Earth humans.
Their growth rate also differs from humans.
A seventeen- or eighteen-year-old Saiyan might look and be the same size as an eight- or nine-year-old Earth child.
But once a Saiyan reaches adulthood, they need only half a month to grow from a child who looks seven or eight years old.
Into an adult who appears to be in his twenties.
"Hahaha, since you put it that way, I won't be polite."
Hearing Jiang Hao's invitation, Sun Wukong didn't hold back.
He immediately sat down and started eating.
He hadn't eaten before coming, but he wasn't starving.
But he knew Jiang Hao cooked delicious food.
He could easily smell the aroma of the dishes from over ten meters away.
It instantly awakened his appetite.
It had been many years since he last ate Jiang Hao's cooking.
He missed it dearly.
"Eat your fill—if you need more, I'll cook right away."
Sun Wukong was never one for politeness.
Jiang Hao cooked two more full tables.
Only then did the three of them finish eating.
Two of those tables had mostly disappeared into Sun Wukong's stomach.
Bulma had eaten about half a table.
After all, with that level of combat power, a large appetite was normal.
"Ah… that was amazing—I haven't eaten anything this delicious in ages. Jiang Hao, your cooking is still the best." Sun Wukong leaned back comfortably in his chair, his belly slightly rounded from the meal.
He patted his stomach as he sighed in satisfaction.
Bulma had also enjoyed her meal immensely.
Jiang Hao's cooking was still the best.
"If you want to eat again, you're always welcome here."
"Ah, hahaha, since you said that, I won't hold back—I'll come every day from now on."
"By the way, Jiang Hao, after you came back this time, will you leave again?" Sun Wukong asked curiously.
He wanted to know whether Jiang Hao would depart once more after returning this time.
Bulma also turned to look at Jiang Hao.
Clearly, she cared deeply about the answer.
"I will leave again, of course—I have reasons I must be away for a while. I'll explain later." The last sentence was clearly meant for Bulma.
"Alright." Bulma nodded.
Sun Wukong, however, looked utterly unimpressed.
He felt like he'd been excluded.
Jiang Hao planned to tell Bulma about the Shijiezhi Sect this time—but no one else, not even Sun Wukong, would be told.
Especially not Sun Wukong—he couldn't keep a secret.
He was a blabbermouth.
If Jiang Hao told him about the Shijiezhi Sect, word would spread to far too many people in no time.
Jiang Hao wasn't ready to draw too much attention.
So he definitely wouldn't tell Sun Wukong.
"Jiang Hao, let's fight. I've grown a lot since six years ago—I'm definitely worthy of being your opponent now." But Sun Wukong quickly shook off his mood.
He jumped up and challenged Jiang Hao.
If there was one thing that thrilled Sun Wukong, the battle-obsessed Saiyan,
it was an opponent with equal combat power.
Although Sun Wukong's personality was far better than most Saiyans,
his desire for battle was no less intense.
In fact, Jiang Hao felt the same way.
But thanks to his Super Brain, he could suppress that urge.
"You're about to get married—let's delay the fight. After your wedding, we'll have our battle, how about that?" Jiang Hao could sense Sun Wukong's current combat power through his aura.
