Where is your lair? Are there other monsters who command you?\" Aiden asked.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"There are about 180 of us, we attacked two villages around here,\" the monster replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"And then? What about your lair?\" asked Aiden.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"There’s a cave in that mountain, I can’t explain it in detail as it’s too complicated,\" the monster replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"What could it be?\" asked Jacob, drawing Aiden’s attention to look at him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Do you know any?\" asked Aiden, Jacob nodded.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jacob explained that he and the villagers had flocked to the forest and mountains to track down their lair.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They had closed all the caves without exception, but there was one cave that was difficult for them to close.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The reason the cave was difficult to close was because of the strong magical energy and poisonous air.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Some of the villagers were injured and sick just before they managed to close the cave.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"What are the characteristics of the cave?\" asked Aiden.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"It has a large cave door and a disgusting black slime. That’s the place,\" Jacob replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aiden threw that explanation at the black monster, asking with certainty if the cave was a lair for shapeshifting monsters.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>In a low voice, the black monster nodded. It was where they rested and ate their catch.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jacob couldn’t hold back his anger. He kept his hands clenched in frustration as he wished he could kill the monster before him with his own hands.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aiden glanced at Jacob, his face flushed with eyebrows raised in anger. Aiden stepped closer to the man while trying to calm him down.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Don’t! You have no ability to defeat it,\" Aiden explained.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I want to kill it! It killed my family!\" Jacob snapped, trying to break free.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Stop!\" said a woman, from the direction of the room which caused the whole place to froze.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jacob froze, the black monster also froze. Aiden saw the phenomenon that happened, he thought Aurora had woken up.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Sure enough! He turned his head towards the open door of the room and saw Aurora already awake. She strode gracefully with a face full of anger, staring intently ahead.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Aurora?\" greeted Aiden.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Are they bothering you, Aiden?\" asked Aurora.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aiden stepped up to her, asking what her condition was. Aurora responded with a nod, she was fine after sleeping and recovering her body.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Jacob is a resident of this house, just like us. He’s not a threat,\" Aiden replied, pointing behind him at the frozen black monster.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"That monster. It’s bothering me,\" Aiden said.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Then let me just destroy it.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The young man held Aurora back. Aiden stepped before it again, asking about the monster controlling them.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Village Chief,\" the monster replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"What? It can’t be, the village chief is the one who cares the most about the villagers,\" Jacob explained.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"It’s probably just his way of behaving, there’s a reason why the Village Chief would do that,\" Aiden replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"This monster must be lying. You can’t believe it,\" Jacob said.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aiden glanced sharply at Jacob, seeing that the man was doubting his abilities.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"It’s trapped in my beast’s control. How could it be lying?\" Aiden asked.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"What were the orders the Village Chief gave you?\" asked Aiden, sternly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"He told us to kill anyone who wanders around at night,\" replied the monster.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Are you done?\" asked Aurora, approaching Aiden.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The young man was silent for a moment as he continued to stare ahead, intimidating the black monster. Aiden cleared his throat and nodded, telling Aurora that he was done with it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aurora pointed at the black monster, freezing it in a block of ice and crushing it into small pieces of ice.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The black monster died and the situation in the small house returned to normal. Aiden walked to the window of the house, continuing to look outside.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Jacob was still reluctant to believe that the Village Chief was the one behind the murder of the villagers at night.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He believed that the Village Chief was just a scapegoat for the black monster.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Don’t you believe in what that monster said. It’s a monster, we humans should kill it, not believe it,\" Jacob replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"If I don’t believe it, then who should I believe?\" asked Aiden, glancing over sharply.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"If you want to end this terror, then the only way is to interrogate the village chief,\" Aiden replied.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aurora stepped closer to Aiden, telling him that she had recovered and was ready to help him no matter the situation.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Aiden nodded, smiling as he gently rubbed Aurora’s cheek, \"Sure.
