Chapter 602: Heavenly Demon Sect, Sect Leader?!

As Jiang Daoxuan's voice fell.

Jiang Han's eyes snapped wide open, a look of shock flashing through them.

At this point, how could he still not understand that the clan chief had long since learned of this news!

If he hadn't known of his own family's ties with the Earth Demon Sect, why would he have bothered to seek them out?!

Thinking of this, Jiang Han instinctively asked, "Clan Chief, my lord, did you already know of this matter long ago?"

Jiang Daoxuan glanced at him, then at Jiang Chen beside him, and under their gaze, said slowly, "That's right. Several hundred years ago, our Cangwu Jiang family and the Earth Demon Sect's Jiang clan branch did indeed share the same lineage!"

With the Heavenly Demon Sect's Jiang clan merging into the Yaoguang branch, this news likely cannot be hidden for long.

So saying it outright is of no consequence.

At these words.

Jiang Han's face showed astonishment.

He gazed at his own clan chief's figure, feeling more and more that he was utterly mysterious!

He had learned from Jiang Lingsheng that over these past several months, the clan chief had left the mountain only a handful of times.

How then could he have known of matters so far away in the Earth Demon Sect?

Or was it that while he was away from the clan, the clan's intelligence network had already grown to such an extent?

Just as Jiang Han stood frozen on the spot.

An even more explosive piece of news suddenly sprang from Jiang Daoxuan's lips.

"Not only that, several days ago, I had already dispatched Jiang Xiaobai to take in the Heavenly Demon Sect and bring everyone back."

"The Jiang clansmen among them have all been merged into the Yaoguang branch, while the remaining followers have been dispatched to Cangwu City and placed entirely under the Cangwu Merchant Guild…"

As the words fell, Jiang Chen's eyes flashed, and he suddenly understood!

No wonder not long ago a group of utterly unfamiliar clansmen had suddenly poured into the Yaoguang branch.

That very day, the news had already spread throughout the entire clan via the Cangwu Tokens of the Yaoguang branch clansmen, arousing great curiosity among many.

It's just that, although this group of unfamiliar clansmen had been arranged to stay at the Yaoguang station.

For some unknown reason, they kept to themselves behind closed doors all day, never making contact with the other clansmen.

So up to now, no one had yet figured out where they had come from.

Until now, the clan chief's words had made him suddenly realize just where those unfamiliar clansmen had come from!

At this moment, Jiang Han was first startled, but then quickly thought of something.

The Cangwu Merchant Guild? Wait…

He hurriedly looked toward his own clan chief: "Clan Chief, my lord, that General Wang guarding Cangwu City, could he be—?"

Jiang Daoxuan nodded and chuckled lightly, "It seems you've already met him. That's right, he is none other than the former Heavenly Demon Sect Emissary, now the Dao Protector of Jiang Shan, President of the Cangwu Merchant Guild."
