Chapter 11: Huaxia University

~7 min read 1,394 words

"Are you ready? You will first enter my Heart Realm to rest for a period of time. Once I have resolved some matters in reality, I will prepare an identity for you and then bring you out," Lingyun said.

"Yes, Master!" Luo Yexi nodded, and was subsequently taken into the Heart Realm by Lingyun.

Looking at the arrangements he had made in the Bamboo House, Lingyun smiled and nodded, hoping that those who broke in would like the gift he had left behind. A silver-white light rose from beneath his feet, and Lingyun vanished from the Bamboo House. Appearing on the River of Time and Space, Lingyun unfolded the Space-Time Coordinate he had obtained during his tribulation, transforming into a streak of flowing light as he escaped into the River of Time and Space. As for what would happen to those who entered the Bamboo House, that was no longer his concern.

In an empty dormitory, the air rippled, and a figure appeared on the open floor; this person was none other than Lingyun. He looked up at the computer on his desk; only a few seconds had passed. He quickly took off the clothes he was wearing, opened the wardrobe to change into the clothes he wore at school, and then channeled his Divine Sense to make his hair shorter.

After he finished this, with a "click," the dormitory door was pushed open. A tall man walked in, looked at Lingyun standing in place, and said with a smile, "Lingyun, it's getting late. Why are you still standing there? The brothers are all waiting for you. Let's go, time to celebrate."

Lingyun rummaged through the depths of his memory and understood what had happened. This person was the eldest in Lingyun's dormitory, Huang Luo. There were four people in Lingyun's dormitory in total; excluding Huang Luo, the second was Han Yu, the third was Liu Feng, and Lingyun was the fourth. The four of them were very close, and although school had started less than a month ago, there was no difference between them and real brothers.

As for the celebration Huang Luo mentioned, it was because Huang Luo, as a member of the department's Basketball Club, had achieved amazing results in his first game, scoring twenty points by himself. In his excitement, Huang Luo waved his hand and invited everyone in the dormitory out for a meal.

Lingyun glanced at Huang Luo and said to him with a smile, "Since the eldest is treating, of course I have to change into nicer clothes, and then I must ruthlessly fleece the eldest for a meal!"

Huang Luo grinned and leaned toward Lingyun: "I say, Fourth, there is something I've really wanted to say for a long time, and it's not just me; the second and third feel the same."

"What is it?" Lingyun asked.

"That is, Fourth, you look so pretty, and you always avoid us when changing clothes. Are you actually a boy?" Huang Luo grinned and leaned toward Lingyun.

Black lines immediately appeared on Lingyun's head, and he slammed a fist directly into Huang Luo's chest: "You're the girl! I am a proper, upright man!"

"Hehehe, you don't know, do you? There is a poll set up by someone in our college right now, and one of the questions is about your gender. Eighty percent of the votes say you're a girl!" Huang Luo smugly raised his eyebrows at Lingyun.

Wisps of black energy suddenly emerged from behind Lingyun: "Judging by your tone, Eldest, you voted on the website too, right? So, how did you vote?"

"Of course I voted girl. Such a cute roommate, how could you be a boy?" Huang Luo laughed smugly, completely unaware that a shadow was looming over him.

Not long after, a series of screams rang out from the 413 Dormitory.

At the college entrance stood two handsome men, seemingly waiting for someone. Many girls pointed at them secretly, pink hearts appearing in their eyes from time to time. Before long, two people approached them; they were Lingyun and Huang Luo.

"Eldest, you're the one treating today, so what's with this 'life is worse than death' look?" one of the men said to Huang Luo with a smile.

"Second, you don't need to ask. The eldest isn't feeling well, right, Eldest?" Lingyun said to the man with a smile.

Looking at Lingyun's smiling face, Huang Luo couldn't help but recall his encounter in the dormitory earlier. He shuddered, forced a smile onto his face, and said, "Hehe, that, I'm fine. Let's go!"

Han Yu and Liu Feng exchanged glances; while they were waiting, something unspeakable must have happened between these two. However, eating was the most important thing right now; whatever happened could be discussed later. The four of them walked toward the food stalls outside the school, chatting and laughing.

The school Lingyun attended was named Huaxia University, one of the top institutions in Huaxia, and the Computer Department he was in was the most elite department in the country. It could be said that once you entered the Computer Department, a six-figure or even seven-figure annual salary after graduation was not a dream. Lingyun had entered the Computer Department as a provincial top scholar, which had caused quite a sensation at the time.

At the food stall, Huang Luo waved his hand and handed the right to order to the others. According to him, he wasn't short on money; he had originally wanted to treat them to a meal at a hotel, but everyone else said they were students and there was no need to be so extravagant. However, he couldn't be stingy either, so he told them to order whatever they liked as long as they could finish it.

"I say, Fourth, what are your plans for this semester? You aren't planning to stay cooped up in the dormitory until the end of the semester, are you?" Huang Luo asked. School had been open for nearly a month, and Huang Luo had gotten to know Lingyun well; he did not approve of Lingyun always staying in the dormitory.

"You don't need to worry about that. I will study hard this semester and finish all the credits for this year first, so that I will have enough time next year to do what I need to do," Lingyun put down his chopsticks and said with a faint smile.

"No way, finishing a year's worth of credits in one semester? Fourth, you aren't lying to me, are you? Credits at Huaxia University aren't easy to earn. You shouldn't neglect your studies!" Liu Feng said with a look of surprise.

"Exactly, exactly. And I remember, Fourth, you haven't joined any clubs yet, right? Entering university without joining a club doesn't count as a complete university life. You should spare some time and participate in club life," Han Yu also advised from the side.

"That's right, Fourth. Why don't you join our Basketball Club? I'm considered a key player in the Basketball Club now, and I can look out for you if anything comes up," Huang Luo also chimed in.

"As for that, thank you all for your kindness. However, finishing a year's worth of credits in one semester is really not a big deal for me, so you don't need to worry on my behalf. The reason I am in such a hurry to finish the year's credits is because I have a premonition that I will be very busy next year, and I'm afraid I won't have much time to come to school, so I plan to wrap up this year's studies first," Lingyun waved his hand. His Cloud Realm had just been opened, and he would be busy in the future; he didn't have that much time to do other things.

"Is that so? So you already have your own plan for your university life, Fourth. Then we won't interfere. However, Fourth, if you have any needs, you can tell us. We brothers will provide help within our capabilities," Han Yu patted Lingyun on the shoulder.

"That goes without saying, I won't stand on ceremony with you all!" Lingyun smiled.

"Second is right. Given our relationship, just say the word if there is anything you need help with; I will definitely help as much as I can," Liu Feng said with a smile.
