Chapter 766: Undead Demon Army

Seeing Lingyun appear, Jienuo also let out a soft breath.

"Mr. Lingyun, just now, an Elf Warrior scout squad rescued a small party of adventurers on the outskirts of the Elf Kingdom."

"An adventurer party? Could there be something wrong with that party for you to come all the way to the Elf Temple?" Lingyun asked.

"It is not that the adventurer party is wrong, but that the ones hunting them are the problem." Jienuo's tone became serious. "The ones hunting them were an Undead Army."

"An Undead Army?" Lingyun frowned slightly. "This place is the Morning Light Forest, the place with the most powerful life energy in the entire God-Given Continent, and also the place the undead loathe the most. How could an Undead Army appear here?"

"Not only that, the identities of these undead are extraordinary; they are all Demon Race soldiers turned into undead!" Jienuo added.

"Demon Race soldiers turned into undead? Are you sure you didn't see wrong?" A trace of surprise could not help but appear in Lingyun's tone.

"I also thought at first that the Elf Warrior who rescued the adventurer party had seen wrong, but when I arrived at the battle site to inspect it myself, I discovered that those undead were indeed Demon Race soldiers turned into undead," Jienuo said. "Moreover, powerful Demon Qi still remained on these corpses. This Demon Qi even began to erode the surrounding environment; it took several mages working together to clear it away."

"Demon Race soldiers, undead? Interesting. It seems someone wants to stir up trouble in the Morning Light Forest!" Lingyun said indifferently. "How did those adventurers discover those undead?"

"As for that, according to the adventurers, they accepted a quest to collect earth spirit potatoes before entering the Morning Light Forest. While they were digging for the potatoes, one of the adventurers dug up an arm bone. Subsequently, a large number of Demon Race undead soldiers crawled out from under the ground and hunted them down," Jienuo said.

"So that's how it is?" Lingyun nodded slightly. "Have the warriors on the outskirts of the Elf Kingdom be on alert. It is impossible for there to be only this many Demon Undead; perhaps the Elf Kingdom is about to face war once again."

"Yes!" Hearing Lingyun say this, Jienuo's expression also turned serious.

After Jienuo left, Lingyun opened his hand, and the Great Sage Medal appeared in his palm. As the medal appeared, a beam of emerald green light shot straight into the sky. Above the Elf Kingdom, countless complex arrays suddenly emerged, and these arrays stacked together to form a super array. The Elf Array, which shrouded the entire Elf Kingdom, revealed its true form for the first time since the Millennium Holy War.

The moment the Elf Array appeared, the powerful Natural Power within the entire Morning Light Forest began to surge, centered on the Elf Kingdom.

"Heavens, this is..." The adventurers in the Morning Light Forest gazed at the sky covered in a layer of emerald green gauze, their tones filled with disbelief.

And those injured adventurers felt their wounds slowly beginning to recover amidst this green light.

"This is the Elf Race's Natural Magic, but why would such a large-scale Natural Magic appear?" A well-informed adventurer let out an incredulous cry.

Inside the Elf Temple, Lingyun closed his eyes. Powerful Natural Power flowed around his body, and his Divine Sense had connected to the Elf Array, borrowing the power of the Elf Array to cover the entire Morning Light Forest.

"So that's how it is. These guys are all hiding underground; no wonder the Elf Array didn't detect any abnormalities!" Lingyun's powerful Divine Sense discovered the slight irregularities in the Morning Light Forest. "In that case, I might as well force you all out!"

Under Lingyun's full exertion, extremely sharp spears began to emerge at specific locations throughout the Morning Light Forest. The condensed, powerful Natural Power caused the ground where the Demon Undead were hiding to show abnormal distortions.

Around a small depression, a small party of adventurers looked at the emerald green spears suspended in mid-air and could not help but swallow their saliva.

"Captain, where do you think these spears came from?"

"I, I don't know either!" Cold sweat broke out on the forehead of the adventurer party's captain.

He felt a deadly aura from these spears, meaning that if the target of these spears were him, his chances of survival would be slim to none.

"Fall!" Once he had locked onto the vast majority of the places with Demon Qi, Lingyun slammed his hands downward.

The energy spears appearing in the Morning Light Forest simultaneously received Lingyun's command and slammed heavily into the ground below them.

Beams of emerald green light rose in the Morning Light Forest, but immediately following them were terrifying Death Qi and roaring Demon Qi. In the places struck by the energy spears, the Demon Undead hidden in the ground were forced out all at once. One by one, powerful Demon Undead clenched their fists and roared at the sky, the powerful Demon Qi and Death Qi dissipating simultaneously, turning the surrounding land into a wasteland.

"Cap, Captain, what are these?"

"This is? I've seen this in the patriarch's notes; these things are the Demon Race turned into undead! How could Demon Undead appear in the Morning Light Forest? Heavens, they are both Demon Race and undead; both sides stand in opposition to the Elf Race!" The adventurer party captain's face turned extremely ugly. "Quick, let's leave here; something big is about to happen in the Morning Light Forest!"

After being forced out of the ground by Lingyun using the Elf Spears, these Demon Undead seemed to realize their plan had failed. They simply stopped hiding their forms, openly baring their fangs and beginning a forced march toward the Elf Kingdom.

At the same time, in some places not hit by the Elf Spears released by Lingyun, the ground shattered suddenly, and skeleton hands reached out from the earth. One after another, Demon Undead crawled out from the ground, roaring as they surged toward the Elf Kingdom.

"This number is truly spectacular!" Lingyun's mind was connected to the Elf Array, and the situation of the entire Morning Light Forest was reflected in his heart.

There were indeed quite a lot of these skeleton frames emerging from the ground, and as these Demon Undead gathered, the Death Qi and Demon Qi on them intertwined, forming dark clouds that shrouded an area. Ordinary people stepping into the area covered by the dark clouds would face the crisis of being eroded by Demon Qi and Death Qi.

The Undead Demon Army appearing in the Morning Light Forest numbered at least one hundred thousand, and these one hundred thousand Undead Demon Army soldiers were all extremely powerful undead. Wherever the army passed, the dark clouds continued to spread. Under the land covered by the dark clouds, all life withered, completely turning into dead land.

"This is the Morning Light Forest, not a place for you skeleton frames to run wild!" Lingyun formed seals with his hands, and vast Source Power transformed into Natural Power, pouring continuously into the Elf Array, triggering the Natural Power throughout the entire Morning Light Forest.

Massive emerald green pillars of light shot into the sky from various nodes in the Morning Light Forest, and the Elf Array shrouding the Elf Kingdom suddenly expanded, turning into a giant array that covered the entire Morning Light Forest.

The moment the array appeared, the gathered powerful Natural Power collided fiercely with the dark clouds summoned by the Undead Demon Army. Facing the majestic Natural Power condensed from the entire Morning Light Forest, the dark clouds released by the Undead Demon Army were instantly compressed to the limit, able only to condense above the Undead Demon Army, unable to spread. And the dead land formed by the dark cloud coverage also began to recover its vitality under the influence of the Natural Power.

"Whew—" After activating the array, Lingyun let out a soft breath. Although the spread of the Undead Demon Army's dark clouds had been curbed, the real battle had only just begun!
