Chapter 957: Arguments and Battles

~7 min read 1,285 words

In the faculty office, Lingyun looked at the books before him, a trace of doubt flashing in his eyes.

Ever since Sakura Kyoko arrived in Mitakihara, Kyubey seemed to have vanished; not only had Tomoe Mami not seen Kyubey, but even Akemi Homura, Kyubey's top hunter, had not discovered a single trace of it.

"It seems Kyubey has hidden itself? Or could it be that this guy is plotting something in the shadows again?" Lingyun put down the book in his hand and looked into the distance.

Right now, there were five Magical Girls around him. There was no need to mention Momoe Nagisa; she lived in his home, so it was impossible for Kyubey to make any moves. Sakura Kyoko and Akemi Homura had both experienced great ups and downs, so it was basically impossible for Kyubey to get to them. Tomoe Mami's mental state had indeed been fragile in the past, but now that she had many friends around her, they had built an Iron Wall for her, making the possibility of an incident minimal.

"So, the only weak point is still Sayaka, then?" Lingyun rubbed his forehead.

Kyubey must be watching every move Sayaka made in the shadows right now, trying to find a way to tear a rift open through her. Fortunately, he had already given Sayaka a warning beforehand, so even if Kyubey wanted to do something, Sayaka would be able to hold on for a while.

"As expected, the business of hunting Kyubey cannot be stopped!" Lingyun tossed the book in his hand backward casually.

A hand suddenly reached out from the Void and caught the book Lingyun had thrown.

"I'll leave this matter to you!" Lingyun said.

"Leave it to me!" The book released a dazzling light in that hand, then transformed from an ordinary book into one inlaid with countless divine scripts. The clone standing behind Lingyun bowed slightly to him, then turned into countless pages and vanished into the Void.

Outside Mitakihara, a Kyubey emerged from a wall, looking toward the direction of Mitakihara with a grave expression.

Just a moment ago, in a single instant, all of its clones in Mitakihara had been completely wiped out. Moreover, not one of these wiped-out clones had seen who had made the move.

"Was it that strange Magical Girl, Akemi Homura? No, it shouldn't be. It must be that strange teacher, but what exactly is this ability? Why have I never seen it before?" Kyubey's tail flicked rapidly.

As the leader of a notorious pyramid scheme organization who had swindled countless kind-hearted girls, Kyubey was an existence that had spanned the entire Human History. Yet, throughout all of Human History, it had never caught a glimpse of Lingyun's existence.

"Could it be that you also came for Kaname Madoka?" Kyubey muttered softly, then turned and left the place.

The sun was already slanting to the west, and Lingyun was tidying up his lesson plans in the office. After all, as a teacher—even if he only taught physical education—he had to be responsible for his students, didn't he?

"Teacher, it's bad!" Just then, Kaname Madoka's anxious voice rang out by Lingyun's ear.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" Lingyun stopped what he was doing and asked softly.

"Sakura Kyoko and Sayaka are fighting!" Kaname Madoka said anxiously.

"Fighting?"

Lingyun narrowed his eyes. He had long known that a battle between the two was inevitable; after all, their philosophies had a significant conflict. However, he had not expected the conflict between them to erupt so quickly. Yet, after experiencing this battle, perhaps the relationship between the two might also advance by leaps and bounds; after all, the former Sakura Kyoko was very similar to Sayaka.

"How did they start fighting?" Lingyun asked.

"W-well, it seems that earlier, when Kyoko and Sayaka were talking about their wishes for becoming Magical Girls and how to view Familiars and Witches, they had a disagreement, and it ended up like this." Kaname Madoka looked at the alley in front of her with an anxious face.

The sides of the alley were sealed off by crimson Magic Chains, and as an ordinary human, Kaname Madoka could not break through these chains at all.

Inside the alley, the sound of a Spear and a Command Sword clashing rang out incessantly. One could faintly see a blue figure and a red figure flickering constantly, and every time the two figures disengaged, a large amount of sparks would inevitably burst out between them.

However, judging from the situation, Sakura Kyoko was basically suppressing Sayaka. After all, Sakura Kyoko had been a Magical Girl for quite a long time and was a veteran, while Sayaka was just a rookie who had just stepped onto the path of a Magical Girl.

But Sayaka also had her own advantage, which was her powerful self-healing ability. Relying on her self-healing ability, she had dragged the battle out to its current state.

As the battle progressed, the clash between the two had begun to show signs of spiraling out of control. If the battle at the beginning was just a fight, then it was now a life-and-death struggle; every move and every style began to aim for the other's vital points.

"That really is a troublesome ability, but with your magic, how long can you hold out?" Sakura Kyoko asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Someone like you really needs to be taught a profound lesson!" Sayaka gritted her teeth, the magic on her body boiling frantically, causing the blade of her Command Sword to be stained with a touch of azure.

"That's why I said, someone like you is truly the most troublesome. It would be right to just make you lie down and think it over properly!" The Spear in Sakura Kyoko's hand began to shine with a crimson light, which was clearly also a sign of boiling magic.

Watching both of them charge toward each other, Kaname Madoka couldn't help but scream: "No!"

"I say, you two, as girls, this isn't how you open your hearts to each other!" A voice suddenly rang out in the arena.

Lingyun suddenly appeared between the two, calmly extending his hands to pinch the spear tip and the sword tip with his fingers. The powerful magic storm slammed heavily into Lingyun, but it only caused his clothes to ripple slightly.

"Teacher!" The three people who saw this scene couldn't help but scream.

Even Tomoe Mami and Akemi Homura, who had just arrived, were left in a daze as they looked at this scene. Although they knew Lingyun's strength was very powerful, being able to take the full-force strike of both Sayaka and the other so nonchalantly was just too absurd.

Lingyun flicked his fingers, and Sakura Kyoko and Sayaka simultaneously felt an irresistible force transmitted from their weapons, forcing them to let go. The moment the two weapons were released, they emitted a teeth-grinding creak before shattering into fragments that filled the sky. Watching the weapon fragments falling from the sky, the bodies of Sakura Kyoko and the other trembled simultaneously, a trace of palpitations flashing in their eyes.

"It is normal for little girls to bicker, but killing your friends is absolutely not allowed. Don't you know that?" Lingyun glanced at the two people present, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.

"B-but, Kyoko she..." Sayaka still had a trace of awe for Lingyun, this teacher.

"Isn't this because that little girl is just too naive? I was just giving a junior some pointers as a senior," Sakura Kyoko said with some indifference.

"You..." Sayaka glared fiercely in Sakura Kyoko's direction.

And facing Sayaka's gaze, Sakura Kyoko bared her fangs and glared back without any courtesy.
