Chapter 126: Bold Bodhisattva, I Can Tell at a Glance That You Are Not Human!

Xuanzang simply does not believe in the trope of repaying kindness by offering one's body!

And Guanyin Bodhisattva is exactly the kind of existence that particularly enjoys testing people!

This move—for Guanyin to do this—should be to test his will and his determination to seek the true scriptures in the future.

Of course, these guesses of Xuanzang's need to be established on the premise that Lotus is an incarnation of Guanyin!

"Miss Lotus, I am helping you not so that you can repay me; you should go."

After a bout of internal deliberation, Xuanzang said this.

Lotus cried until she was a tear-stained mess, looking like pear blossoms drenched in rain, and whispered: "Benefactor, could it be that you think my status is lowly and look down on me? I do not ask for a title, only to repay your kindness."

In Xuanzang's eyes, Lotus seemed heartbroken!

But in reality, inside Lotus's heart, it was as still as stagnant water.

And she was thinking that the conduct of this life's Xuanzang is still quite good, with a firm will!

Xuanzang guessed correctly; Lotus is indeed an incarnation of Guanyin who rushed over from Five Elements Mountain!

Guanyin also witnessed the scene of Xuanzang slaughtering the Dragon in the Imperial Palace and knows that Xuanzang possesses cultivation.

That is why she arranged all of this, with the goal of testing Xuanzang.

"Miss Lotus, I am a monk. You crying and offering your body? Isn't this harming people?" Xuanzang continued.

Because he suspects Lotus's identity, he does not intend to dance around with her and wants to send her away directly.

But Lotus is relentless and wants to add more fuel to the fire, crying: "Benefactor, of the three unfilial acts, having no descendants is the greatest. Why don't you return to secular life? Do not be a monk anymore; I will repay you for a lifetime and never leave your side."

To be honest, Xuanzang is a bit annoyed at this moment; he looks Lotus up and down, thoughts flashing, and suddenly says:

"Lotus, do you truly want to marry me? To offer your body?"

"Yes, I swear to Heaven!" Lotus said earnestly, her expression becoming increasingly sincere.

Xuanzang, however, shook his head and said:

"I am a monk, so do not swear to Heaven; swear to the Buddha, swear to the Buddhist Saint."

Guanyin is a bit panicked right now; she never expected Xuanzang to play this card, making her swear to the Buddha and the Buddhist Saint!

If it were just swearing to Heaven, it would be no big deal at all.

She is a Buddha, a Bodhisattva; she is not under Heaven's jurisdiction!

But the Buddha is different, and the Buddhist Saint is even more different.

"What is wrong? Do you not dare?"

Xuanzang asked, his expression playful, his internal suspicions becoming more certain.

"How could I not dare? Today, Lotus swears to the Buddha and swears to the Saint to repay the benefactor, to offer my body, and to never leave your side." Lotus said immediately and decisively.

This actually makes Xuanzang feel surprised?

Guanyin is secretly lamenting in her heart, only hoping that the Buddha will turn a blind eye; she is only doing this to test Xuanzang.

"Very good, since that is the case, I agree to let you offer your body. You just said that of the three unfilial acts, having no descendants is the greatest; let us consummate the marriage now, strive to leave behind an heir, and in the future, I can return to Buddhism again!"

After speaking, Xuanzang suddenly made a move, directly hoisting Lotus's light body onto his shoulder and walking toward the inner room!

"??" Guanyin.

The process is not supposed to be like this; isn't getting married supposed to involve inviting friends and family, holding a banquet, and so on?

She was still planning to reveal her true form on the wedding night to educate Xuanzang!

But now, there is nothing; he is going straight to the point.

During the time she was thinking, Xuanzang moved with great speed, striding like a flying man, and had already carried Lotus to the bed, about to undress.

Lotus realized that if she continued to act now, she would suffer a major defeat!

She waved her hand, and a gentle force of Dharma power pushed Xuanzang back two steps.

"Lotus, what are you doing?" Xuanzang feigned surprise, though his eyes held delight.

Lotus's demeanor shifted, changing from the previous pitiful appearance to one of compassion without losing majesty, a Buddha Heart Mark appearing between her brows, and she said coldly:

"Xuanzang, take a good look at who I am!"

As the words fell, Lotus's face underwent subtle changes; under the shroud of holy light, it became even more sacred, even more exquisite, and even more perfect!

Behind her, a Merit halo, which only a Buddhist Great Ability possesses, appeared, illuminating all directions!

"Guanyin Bodhisattva!" Xuanzang said, his expression calm.

"Xuanzang, your six senses are not yet pure, and you are addicted to the red dust; if you do not sever worldly thoughts, how can you achieve emptiness and shoulder the great mission?" Guanyin Bodhisattva questioned.

Although she said this, Guanyin was only reprimanding him in the hope that Xuanzang would correct himself.

After all, the great cause of Scripture Seeking cannot lack Xuanzang!

Xuanzang responded calmly; he was already in a bad mood from being manipulated, and now Guanyin Bodhisattva was still lecturing him with righteous indignation!

"Bold monster, how dare you impersonate the holy and sacred Guanyin Bodhisattva! I can tell at a glance that you are not human!"

Xuanzang's face was filled with anger, as if he did not recognize the Guanyin before him.

At this moment, Xuanzang played along with the scheme, giving himself a righteous cause!

Since Guanyin had arranged for him, he would seize the initiative and beat the master to death with wild punches!

"?, Xuanzang, look clearly, I am Guanyin Bodhisattva!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva was stunned, somewhat caught off guard.

"Shut your mouth, how dare you quibble, how dare you blaspheme my respected and admired Guanshiyin-pusa!

A demon is a demon; even if you disguise yourself well, you are still a demon!"

Xuanzang was filled with murderous aura, righteous and stern.

"Behold my divine power!"

"Great Might Heavenly Dragon, World Honored Xuanzang! Prajna All Buddhas, Great Luo Dharma Curse!"

"Hah!"

Xuanzang ripped off his upper garment, releasing an indomitable aura of wildness from his entire body; the muscles beneath his Skin pulsed slightly, each inch containing immense magic power!

Accompanied by the chanting of the Great Might Heavenly Dragon, Xuanzang wore a cold and stern expression, impartial and selfless!

He struck toward Guanyin with a Great Luo Heavenly Dragon Fist!

Guanyin had not expected Xuanzang to strike suddenly, and his magic power was already so formidable!

As for the reason, that she, the true Guanyin, was a fake Guanyin disguised by a demon, was utterly absurd!

However, one thing at a time; at this moment, the Xuanzang in Guanyin's eyes was extremely eye-catching.

With Xuanzang's magic power, if they were to truly fight, this secular imperial city would likely be destroyed.

In an instant, Guanyin cast a barrier around the room to prevent the commotion inside from affecting the mortals.

Afterward, she merely flicked her glowing white hand, circulating boundless magic power in her palm, and neutralized the Great Luo Heavenly Dragon Fist, then said:

"Xuanzang, stop, I am Guanyin Bodhisattva; how do you want me to prove it!"

"Shut up, you monster! Although you have some magic power, in my heart, Guanyin Bodhisattva is holy and flawless; how could she be bored enough to turn into a mortal? You say you are Guanyin Bodhisattva, how can you prove it?" Xuanzang questioned.

Honestly, at this moment, Guanyin really wanted to beat Xuanzang up.

But all of Xuanzang's starting points were to defend her, the original, so it seemed there was no fault.

Yet she was originally Guanyin Bodhisattva, so what more proof was needed!

"I am originally Guanyin Bodhisattva, why would I need to prove it!"

Guanyin summoned her dharma treasure, the Suet Jade Purifying Bottle, along with willow branches and other treasures, her body shining with Buddha Light, bright and moving.

Seeing this, Xuanzang also knew that everything must have a limit, one cannot go too far, for going too far is as bad as not going far enough!

Thus, he immediately performed a Sichuan opera-style Transformation, revealing a kind smile, and said sincerely:

"So it really is Guanyin Bodhisattva, I have offended you, I have offended you!"

Guanyin possessed great perseverance and extraordinary wisdom; at this moment, she had roughly seen through Xuanzang's schemes, but she did not point them out.
