Journey to the West: Starting by Joining the Chat Group, Main Text Volume, Chapter 37, The Iron-Boned Great Saint Sun Dasheng, under Five Fingers Mountain.

For Sun Wukong, it was another boring and dull day.

Days like this, being pressed under a mountain, had already lasted five hundred years.

Five hundred years of wind and rain, day after day, night after night.

Sun Wukong kept replaying the scene of his Danao Tiangong in his mind, and finally reached a conclusion: he might have been played.

But there wasn't much evidence, especially that guy Rulai, who spoke of Amituofo at every turn, his mouth full of compassion, yet when he struck, he was ruthless as hell.

Therefore, Sun Wukong had a terrible impression of those in Buddhism.

But today, this dull and boring life had finally come to an end.

In Sun Wukong's eyes, three uninvited guests had arrived: two little snake demons and a monk; this combination looked very strange no matter how one viewed it.

"So this is the Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sun Wukong? How is he just a monkey? How stupid is the Heavenly Court to have been slapped in the face by a monkey?"

In Xiaoqing's eyes, anyone capable of Danao Tiangong must be a peerless demon saint.

She had expected some towering, heroic figure, but upon closer inspection, it was actually a somewhat decadent-looking monkey.

Thus, Xiaoqing couldn't help but laugh.

"Do not be rude, Xiaoqing." Xiaobai immediately stopped Xiaoqing's impolite behavior.

Xuanzang reached out two fingers and flicked Xiaoqing on the forehead, nearly flicking her soul right out of her.

"Ouch!" Xiaoqing cried out in pain, clutching her head, feeling it buzzing.

"These days, even a little snake demon dares to mock me, heh. If this were five hundred years ago, I would have skinned you to use as a seat cushion."

Sun Wukong said viciously, his fierce gaze making Xiaoqing freeze.

Only then did she realize what a terrifying existence was before her.

For a moment, she dared not speak and hid behind Xiaobai.

"You also said it was five hundred years ago, but now it is five hundred years later," Xuanzang said.

He sized up the Sun Wukong before him; this was his first time seeing his future eldest disciple.

Uh... in terms of appearance, he wasn't exactly sharp-mouthed and fanged with a hairy face and Lei Gong mouth.

Aside from a coat of golden monkey fur, the human features were quite obvious, though of course, there were still more monkey-like traits; calling him the Handsome Monkey King was not wrong.

Sun Wukong looked up and stared at Xuanzang; this was his first time seeing his future master, though he did not know it, nor did he recognize him.

But deep down, he felt inexplicably that he would have a great Karma with this young man in the future.

"Kid, don't you know that I, Old Sun, hate monks the most? Believe it or not, I'll open my bloody maw and eat you," Sun Wukong threatened.

"Plenty of people have wanted to eat me, monkey; you aren't the first. Besides, in your eyes, do I look weak?"

Xuanzang extended his right hand and slapped Sun Wukong on the head.

Bang!

With just this one slap, the entire area for a hundred miles around Five Elements Mountain shook, the earth moving and the mountains swaying.

"Holy crap!"

Sun Wukong was stunned; his head had been tempered in Laojun's Eight-Trigrams Furnace, with copper skin and iron bones, a Jingang body that could not be destroyed.

Blades couldn't cut it, lightning couldn't shatter it, fire couldn't burn it to ash; it was indestructible.

But just this one slap, a big "nose-slap," made Sun Wukong feel like his head was about to bloom and crack open.

How did this monk feel a hundred million times fierce?

Xiaobai and Xiaoqing were also shocked.

Xuanzang's expression was calm as he lowered his right hand, quite satisfied with the effect.

What looked like a simple slap just now had actually utilized his Kirin Arm, which fused the power of the Beginning Qilin Essence Blood.

As one of the three giants of the Ancient God beasts, the physical strength of the Shiqilin went without saying; a single move could cause the heavens to fall and the earth to sink, mountains and rivers to collapse.

Xuanzang had fused with the talent of the Shiqilin, and the power of this Kirin Arm was equally terrifying; he could instantly kill those of the same level, and even cross-level combat was easy and pleasant.

Plus, Sun Wukong himself was pressed under Five Elements Mountain, his magic power and everything else bound.

And after five hundred years of wind, sun, lightning, and thunder, his physical resistance had long since hit rock bottom.

Being caught off guard like this, it was normal to be stunned.

"Are you sent by Rulai?"

Sun Wukong stretched out a claw to cover his head, his gaze fixed tightly on Xuanzang.

This big "nose-slap" just now had made him retract his contempt; sure enough, those in Buddhism were the most insidious and cunning—they looked harmless to humans and animals, but when they struck, they really could shatter one's guts.

"No," Xuanzang replied.

"Then why did you hit me, Old Sun?" Sun Wukong demanded.

"Ahem... mostly just wanted to test how hard your head is, monkey," Xuanzang said.

Behind him, Xiaoqing was stifling a laugh; this guy Xuanzang looked serious, but in reality, he was a bad person.

"..."

This left Sun Wukong speechless; he really wanted to spew profanities, but he was afraid Xuanzang would hit him again.

Now trapped under Five Elements Mountain with his magic power restricted and bound, Sun Wukong didn't want to be beaten for no reason, so he simply endured it.

After all, he had endured five hundred years, so another five hundred years wouldn't hurt!

But was Sun Wukong the kind of monkey to swallow his pride?

It was truly a case of enduring for a moment only to get angrier the more he thought about it, and taking a step back only to feel more cheated the more he thought about it.

Xuanzang saw Sun Wukong's depression and knew the monkey was angry, so he simply took out the bananas, peaches, dragon fruits, and other fruits he had prepared in advance.

"Monkey, stop being angry; they're all yours," Xuanzang said.

However, to Xuanzang's surprise, Sun Wukong sneered:

"Hmph, I, Old Sun, have an iron backbone; you think you can dismiss me with a few pieces of fruit? Do I not have any face?"

This was Sun Wukong's final pride, absolutely refusing to bow his head to anyone from Buddhism.

"Oh, then forget it." Xuanzang flicked his sleeve and slowly began to put the fruit away.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong grew anxious and couldn't help but say, "I, Old Sun, only said a word, why are you taking the fruit back?"

"Houzi, didn't you say you wanted face?" Xuanzang replied.

"Pah, how much is face worth? I, Old Sun, choose the fruit. Put it down quickly, I, Old Sun, want it all," said Sun Wukong.

Once these words were out, Sun Wukong knew his final pride had been stripped away by Xuanzang.

He also understood that he was no longer the high-spirited Great Saint of those years, but merely a Houzi under Five Fingers Mountain who couldn't even afford to eat fruit.

Sun Wukong ate the fresh bananas and honey peaches, wolfing them down while praising them as he ate:

"These bananas are good, even better than the ones from Huaguoshan."

"Nonsense, of course they are good."

Xuanzang said, these were all exchanged from the Chat Group Mall.

How could he possibly be carrying fruit on his person?

He didn't know any Space Divine Ability like Sleeve Universe.

"Eat slowly, Houzi. If you eat too fast, you'll get indigestion and have the runs!"

Xuanzang looked at Sun Wukong benevolently, his gaze kind and amiable.

But upon hearing this, Sun Wukong nearly choked, feeling as if Xuanzang were a devil.

However, he did slow down his eating speed, and Sun Wukong became more refined, no longer wolfing his food down.

Afterwards, Xuanzang exchanged for a crate of Happy Water and took out a bottle for Sun Wukong.

"There's alcohol to drink?" said Sun Wukong, thinking it was liquor.

After it entered his mouth, a burst of icy chill stimulated him; having lived for so many years, this was his first time tasting the flavor of Happy Water.

Sun Wukong's eyes lit up, and he hurriedly drank it in large gulps, feeling refreshed and invigorated, the stifling gloom in his chest swept away.

This stuff is better than fine immortal wine; one sip and all worries vanish.

At the same time, Xuanzang also distributed Happy Water to Xiaobai and Xiaoqing.

The two little snake demons were the same, amazed by the unique taste of the Happy Water.

In the thousands of years that followed, after they attained the Dao, they spent their entire lives but could never find this flavor of "divine water" again.
