Chapter 50

Spirit Mountain

Mahavira Hall

"Count the time!"

"Shihou should leave Fangcun Mountain now!"

"."

Duobao Rulai sat upon the golden lotus, smiling as he spoke.

Since ten years ago, Ye Yang broke through to Hunyuan Golden Immortal! The meditation chamber where Ye Yang resided was then cut off from the outside world! Without Ye Yang stirring up the winds and clouds! The Three Realms once again became calm! Therefore!

As the leader of the Buddhist sect! Duobao Rulai's attention was entirely shifted onto the Journey to the West calamity!

Now!

Ten years have passed! According to the Buddhist sect's earlier plan! Shihou will be driven out of Fangcun Mountain in this recent period! And Shihou leaving Fangcun Mountain signifies that the Buddhist sect's other arrangements can now officially begin!

"Exactly!"

"What the Buddha said is indeed correct!"

"Our Buddhist sect will flourish; it's imminent!"

"."

As Duobao Rulai's words fell.

The many Buddhas inside the hall all spoke up in agreement.

Every Buddha's face bore a hint of joy! They were truly happy! Because after the Journey to the West calamity is completed!

All the Buddhas present can gain some benefits!

"Great Bodhisattva Guanyin!"

"Has anything unexpected happened on Jinchanzi's side?"

Shortly after.

Duobao Rulai spoke again, asking the Guanyin below.

In order to let Jinchanzi enter the calamity!

Not long ago.

While Duobao Rulai was expounding the Dharma, he deliberately misspoke a Buddhist allusion.

Jinchanzi certainly took the bait! He seriously argued with Duobao Rulai! Duobao Rulai pretended to be furious and cast Jinchanzi into the six paths of reincarnation!

From then on!

Jinchanzi began the path of ten lifetimes of reincarnation! When Jinchanzi's tenth incarnation appears, that will be the time the Journey to the West calamity begins! "Return to the World-Honored One!"

"Everything as usual!"

"Jinchanzi has already successfully reincarnated!"

"."

Upon hearing Duobao Rulai's inquiry.

Guanyin stepped forward and respectfully replied.

If one were to pick the person who cares most about the Journey to the West calamity within the Buddhist sect!

That person must be Guanyin, no doubt! The reason is simple! Many matters of the Journey to the West calamity are arranged by Guanyin! Where there is effort, there is reward! Guanyin, although only a bodhisattva, cannot compare to Duobao Rulai and the like!

But once the Journey to the West calamity is completed! The benefits Guanyin can obtain may not be lesser than those of Duobao Rulai and the like! In such a situation! Guanyin often rushes about for the Journey to the West calamity! But even so!

Guanyin still finds it sweet as candy! "In that case!"

"The matter of guiding Shihou on Flower-Fruit Mountain has also been entrusted to the Great Bodhisattva!"

"."

After obtaining the desired reply.

Duobao Rulai nodded, then turned to give orders.

He does not like Guanyin! Guanyin, although one of the four great bodhisattvas, is not inferior to an ordinary Buddha!

But there is still a great gap between Guanyin and him, Duobao Rulai! However! After the Journey to the West calamity is completed!

The benefits Guanyin can obtain will not be lesser than his, Duobao Rulai! This makes Duobao Rulai somewhat displeased! Moreover!

Faced with this situation! Duobao Rulai cannot change it! Because this is something appointed by the Buddhist sages! As for why the sages did this? It is because Guanyin's former incarnation, the Ci Hang Daoist, mistakenly entered a female womb when defecting from the Chan teaching! To some extent!

The Buddhist sect owes Guanyin! Therefore, the sages will use the benefits after the calamity is completed to compensate Guanyin!

But giving benefits is giving benefits!

This does not prevent Duobao Rulai from finding more things for Guanyin to do!

On the other side.

Upon hearing Duobao Rulai's orders.

A flash of resentment passed through Guanyin's eyes.

Shihou's cultivation is merely at the peak of Golden Immortal! Any random Taiyi Golden Immortal could go to Flower-Fruit Mountain to guide Shihou!

But Duobao Rulai still had her, a Daluo Golden Immortal, do it!

This is obviously deliberately causing her trouble! Just!

Guanyin is quite self-aware! She knows she is no match for Duobao Rulai!

If she were to fall out with Duobao Rulai, she would gain no benefit at all! So she could only forcibly endure and reluctantly agree! "Follow the World-Honored One's decree!"

Mount Hua

"It's been ten years already!"

You still haven't come out of seclusion!

Gazing toward the direction of Great Bamboo Peak.

Yang Chan, standing on the mountaintop, spoke softly, murmuring.

In the blink of an eye!

Ye Yang has already been in seclusion for ten years! At first! There were still many heavenly immortals and loose cultivators nearby, silently waiting at Great Bamboo Peak! But!

Because Ye Yang has never appeared!

More and more immortals and loose cultivators chose to busy themselves with their own affairs! By now!

Originally lively Great Bamboo Peak has become unusually desolate! This left Yang Chan momentarily unaccustomed! 'Little sister!'

Fellow Daoist Ye Yang's cultivation is formidable!

Not to mention secluding for ten years!

Even if it's seclusion for a hundred or a thousand years, it's not strange at all!

But it's you!

You wouldn't have fallen for Fellow Daoist Ye Yang, would you?

In the past, I never saw you mention second brother so much!

Hearing Yang Chan's murmur.

Yang Jian smiled, but a strange color flashed in his eyes.

After Yang Jiao's resurrection!

To help Yang Jiao quickly grow stronger, Yang Jian brought him back to his cultivation site at Guanjiangkou!

With the aid of various heavenly treasures and elixirs, Yang Jiao attained the cultivation of a true immortal half a month ago! Afterwards!

The two brothers went to Mount Hua together!

First, they wanted to reunite with Yang Chan and her siblings; second, they sought Ye Yang's help to ask if they could revive their mother, Yao Ji. However! After arriving at Mount Hua, they discovered Ye Yang was already in seclusion! Regarding this situation, Yang Jian felt somewhat disappointed but had no other recourse!

Originally!

Yang Jian had planned to stay on Mount Hua for a few days before returning to Guanjiangkou with Yang Jiao, because he wasn't sure how long Ye Yang would remain in seclusion!

But!

During these days of staying on Mount Hua, Yang Jian was shocked to discover that Yang Chan would mention Ye Yang every day!

This gave Yang Jian a fright! Could it be that his little cabbage is about to slip away?

Under these circumstances, how could Yang Jian dare to return to Guanjiangkou!

He feared that if he left, his little sister would belong to someone else!

Second brother!

What nonsense are you spouting?

Elder brother, aren't you going to manage second brother?

Hearing Yang Jian's words.

Yang Chan blinked slightly, then her face flushed red.

But she quickly composed herself, not only refuting Yang Jian's words but also complaining to Yang Jiao! However! Seeing Yang Chan's expression, Yang Jian confirmed his suspicion!

This gave Yang Jian a sour feeling! Yang Jiao beside him chuckled.

He was just about to say something when— 'Boom!'

Not far away, Great Bamboo Peak erupted with a terrifying aura!

This aura swept across heaven and earth without restraint, yet it destroyed nothing, as if merely announcing its presence! Seeing this!

Yang Jian and his three siblings exchanged glances! In the next moment, the three turned into streaks of light and flew toward Great Bamboo Peak!
